Located
in
Jodhpur,
this
Railway
station
stands
out
for
its
cleanliness,
although
it
lacks
proper
management.
It
serves
as
the
starting
point
for
numerous
express
and
superfast
trains.
With
three
platforms
connected
by
an
overhead
footbridge,
the
station
is
adorned
with
local
artwork,
including
a
captivating
metal
sculpture
of
a
black
buck
at
its
entrance.
Regrettably,
the
absence
of
escalators,
lifts,
or
ramps
makes
it
challenging
for
elderly
individuals
and
those
with
disabilities
to
navigate
the
platforms.
Additionally,
there
are
no
air-conditioned
waiting
rooms
available.
The
general
waiting
hall,
intended
for
non-air-conditioned
use,
is
inadequate
for
accommodating
the
waiting
passengers,
considering
the
station's
role
as
a
train
origination
point.
Moreover,
the
station
lacks
tea
stalls
or
bookstores,
although
there
are
two
snack
stalls
on
platform
1
that
offer
cold
drinks,
water
bottles,
and
packaged
snacks.
Lastly,
this
railway
station
does
not
provide
a
cloakroom
facility.
Considering
its
popularity
among
tourists
and
the
fact
that
most
trains
depart
in
the
evenings,
well
after
hotel
checkout
times,
a
cloakroom
would
have
been
immensely
beneficial.
