Pets at home are always amazing. Staff are knowledgeable and happy to help, today an employee helped me work out the difference between all the worming and flea treatments, the vets looked after my cat and always do their best. Prices for everything in store are really good and affordable for the best quality and in the best interest of your pets.

Never answer the phone been trying to call them for 2 weeks now absolutely ridiculous. Placed an order online and was told I would have it in 3 days- been waiting over 3 weeks and not heard anything. Awful customer service

Staff are very knowledgeable and very helpful, the only thing I don't like are the glass cages , personally I think they are too small, especially for the rabbits .

A change from the normal pets at home layout and a really nice layout as well. Rather than being in boring square cages the small animals have multi layer spaces. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Very spacious shop with parking. This shop is just great if you want to pop by for a quick shopping trip for your pet or are just starting to buy all essential toys, grooming tools, medications, food, beds, and many more items for your new pet. There's always a good range of stuff to choose from. Most of the toys are of a very good quality and keep your pets entertained for long hours. The staff is usually very kind and helpful 🐾🐱👍🏻

It's a nice welcoming shop although as with most pet shops, they do give out incorrect care information for animals such as guinea pigs and rabbits. Outside of that it is always clean, the animals are looked after better than most pets at home stores and they are always happy to help

Staff have always been friendly and the animals on site always seem to be happy, healthy and well cared for. A staff member was feeding rabbits with two toddlers and their parents when I was there recently which was lovely to see. Prices are reasonable, pretty average for a pet store and their range of products is really good. They also have a veterinary surgery inside the building (Companion Care Portsmouth), which is convenient and useful. Lots of parking outside too. Pictures are of a cute rat and a sleepy hamster I saw recently. Would recommend!

We decided that we needed to get our little puppy a cuddly toy. We took our 16 week old cocker spaniel along so that he could make his own selection… We were not disappointed! There was a huge amount on display and our fluffy boy loved it! As always, the staff were friendly and helpful. Pets at Home is our go-to location for all our puppies needs 😊

The staff here always go above and beyond trying to make sure you are getting the best product and advice for your pet. This has been especially helpful for me as a first time dog owner!

The staff are really good, have had everything I need every time I've visited for my puppy with the exception of crate covers, which they do online. Shame they're not in store as I bought the crate there 3 days ago.

The vet was amazing treating our pet Raccoon for diabetes, caring for her and not rushing us.

I went in for my dog's B. canis test and paid cash at the rear entrance to the vet just to be called minutes later by the practice to be told they were missing some money. I'm not going to set foot again in this place, I counted the money in front of the vet, I know how much money I had in my wallet, I don't know what happened between I handed £140 to the vet and the vet give to the reception!

I find it hard to write positive things when there is so much wrong in terms of husbandry and equipment and keeping advice from Pets at Home. For example, P@H sell undersized cages, hutches and exercise wheels for rodents and chews made of harmful things. The animals for sale are also kept in small tanks that don't meet many if any of that animal's needs: gerbils, hamsters and rats without access to deep substrate for digging, poor ventilation, no dark, private spaces in which to hide, lack of space in general which prevents running and climbing, minimal enrichment. It's 2023 and I think there needs to be a huge overhaul around how p@h sell animals to the public, in particular the expectations set by the store about what adequately meets the animals' needs and allows the pets to practice the full range of natural behaviours. All of that aside the staff at my local store are friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you if there's an item you can't find.

Pet at home was amazing they told me my budgies had a catchable infection and tthey passed it to each other, blue budgie died in his cadge, female one died at vets and baby one died at vets now they had to put him down, he was in pain, im not happy all my budgoed have died at a young age, 2 was a years f and baby one was 2 months old, so i wont be buying any more budgiedfrom arundel arundel avairies avariarys and fisharies again

Nice shop, went to the vet here to have my snake seen to and, although they didn't have someone that specialises in snakes, there was someone that did have an interest and owned some snakes - The man was very informative and helpful. Manny has started eating and is healthy and happy again.

As a new pet owner, I've checked several companies for the products I need for my kittens. Pets at Home have by far the most competitive prices. Things like toys are expensive, but cat furniture/cat trees are a great price if you get them on sale. Large selection, I still need to decide whether the food at other stores is better priced. This particular store was ok, stock was ok, some items we wanted were sold out. One thing I found pretty bad was that several items on display were dirty (a cat bed looked like it had vomit on it, the cat mats were slimy, etc.) I'm assuming this is from other pets/dogs visiting the store but I think the dirty products should be removed. Make sure to double-check your items for cleanliness. The store is also hard to reach it by public transport. The staff were really nice and helpful.

Popped in here for flea advice and got given the wrong advice as my friend was finding out from manufacturers website at same time. Went to walk back in and they were closed .. 🙄

Even though in general I've no problems getting what I want for my cat, the last few times I been here for what I need, they've Not had them. This is the only place we could get the litter bags, what's most suitable for our cat. I may have to get on line. I'd rather shop in person

Not great have taken my dog here about 4/5 times £48 every time an not a lot of treatment offered , took her to pdsa as was entitled to help an the checks she had was far more extensive , the meds she was given have given her a new lease of life , so won’t take her to pets at home again, very disappointed .

Wide range of goods for most pets and has a vet instore. Just wish they'd stock a wider and more suitable range of cages for small animals(rats etc)

Great store, wide selection of products friendly, happy, competent, vet practice can't be beaten, puppy club for new fur baby owners, like the fact you can take your dog in store to shop with you. Water supplied outside for pets bonly negative would be that there is no bin or doggy bin outside somewhere as one is needed. Plenty of parking with no carparking tickets, fees or fines, plenty of disabled bays close to front entrance. Just be mindful of the 5mph speed limit as car park have alot of pets and kids at times who just magically appear.

Excellent customer service .. I had bought canary treats sand paper and mite treatment for newly rescued canary . When I got home couldn't find one of the packs of treats I'd bought and thought I had left them on the counter phoned the store and was dealt with a very helpful young lady . She checked the counter for me and they weren't there she then went through the ctv for me and by doing this was able to tell me that all the treats had been packed in bag this was very helpful to know ..I then did a more thorough search and found the treats at home they had fallen under the back of table bertie bird is kept on. I was very impressed with how this young woman had done above and beyond to help in the situation 👏 . One very happy customer.

Lovely service, clean store and very good selection of products. Always go there to shop for my dog's food, treat and toys. Some stuff might be a bit overpriced so would advise to do your research first (depending on what you wanna buy) 😉
