This cafe is now one of our must visits in Astoria. The coffee was super delicious and prices were very reasonable. We love any cafes that avoid single use cups and they were very accommodating. Would highly recommend anyone visiting the neighborhood and try out their coffee. Also biker friendly as they have a to go window!

One of my favorite coffee spots in Astoria. Their lattes are delicious. No indoor seating yet, only a window open for ordering.

I was really excited when a coffee spot opened up in the neighborhood. Good coffee and nice vibes inside. Ever since the pandemic started, they've only offered window service (order at the window and go home). I haven't been there in months because I didn't want to stand outside in the cold waiting for 20 minutes for my coffee (and I use to go regularly). Even now, with all the restrictions lifted, they still only offer the window service. They don't offer a service to call in an order or place an order online and when they're really busy you find yourself standing outside waiting for your coffee. Worst part, the coffee isn't as good as it use to be. I'm only writing this in hopes that it would encourage them to go back to being as awesome as they were when they first opened.

Mighty Oaks is one of my favorite neighborhood spots in Astoria. The iced latte, as well as lemon cake, were excellent. The staff were attentive and it's a great spot to reflect solo or catch up with a friend. I also appreciate the tap and sparkling water available for patrons. Definitely a regular spot for me.

The coffee is good, but fine. It's quite a ways out of the way and locals love it, but I am getting the feeling it's a family spot and a good place to work, and it helps a lot. They also have a wood roasting which helps draw people in.

The coffee is good and since they re opened indoor seating it’s a nice place to hang out or get work done, save for a few times the music is loud and distracting. My major issue is that their pastries are not very good. I know that they get them from a local bakery and don’t make them in house but i think its time they explore another supplier. I got a croissant and it was inedible, just stale and greasy from sitting in the plastic and costs about $5 after the tax. The muffins are sometimes dry and sometimes fresh but you will get a blueberry muffin with 2 blueberries or a banana muffin with only the smallest pieces of nuts and no banana taste. t’s disappointing because I like having something to eat with my coffee.

Fabulous place for a nice coffee whenever the time allows you to wind down. There is a take away window so you can quickly order from the sidewalk if not wanting to go inside which is a great addition. I am not a big fan of the food/bakery items here, because I find them a little dry. But they're mostly glutenfree which is fabulous. All in all such a fabulous part of the neighborhood.

Decent coffee. Friendly staff. Miles better than your green or orange chain shops.

Great matcha & coffee - terrible customer service. I go to this place every morning before my run and the service is a good or terrible. The staff has an attitude and is upset most of the time while taking the order. I can’t even ask a question without an attitude and being condescending. Aiden consistently has an attitude and I’ve seen this happen to other people as well.

#CeliacReviews: Extensive menu, excellent coffee, great service and atmosphere with a lot of wood elements to match the name. They were able to verify that the Turkish chili chocolate was gluten-free for me. They also serve a variety of individually wrapped pastries from the dedicated gluten-free bakery Sans Bakery.

The BEST cappuccinos and the BEST staff!! The baristas are top notch. They are trained to perfection because it really doesn’t matter who makes my oat milk cappuccino, it tastes just right every time. I’m so happy I get to start my day here each morning before heading into the office. A warm comfort.

The coffee quality is good, and usually the customer service is decent however this morning I ordered & paid for a 20 oz coffee and I received a 16 oz coffee. The attendant at the window was imeshed in conversation with the prep person in the back-they were not really paying attention and I felt like they "disinterested" in being there- I was trying to holding on to my dog, so I didn't notice until a few blocks away that they hadn't give me the correct size. I'm disappointed that I paid for something that I did not receive and that customer service was lacking- For the cost of the coffee, I think I'll think twice before purchasing again.

This spot is phenomenal. Truly one of the best coffees I've ever had! We ordered the affogato and the caffè con panna and both were simply divine. The scone wasn't a hit for me but the coffee was so good I will definitely be back here!

They roast the coffee using a wood fire burner! Everything is awesome and Kendall is a roast master! Their espresso is an Italian envy! Great place to chill and sip delicious coffee. They have also decaf options. Awesome atmosphere!

Fantastic corner coffee shop! Amazing drinks especially their Mocha, hot chocolate and espresso! Super friendly staff and ambience of the shop. No dinning in but I’m not upset! If you come once you’ll become a loyal customer forever! We go from quite far away now just because we lived nearby once!

Nothing feels better than grabbing an iced latte from Mighty Oak in a cool morning. Their beans are just as amazing as their service. Whether you're stopping by for a quick sip or staying in to be more productive, Mighty Oak is there with fresh brewed coffee and fast wifi.

I've only ever used the take-out window and I've not had their food, but the coffee is excellent and the espresso drinks are top-notch. Perfect for grabbing a cup and taking a walk through Astoria Park.

Awesome pastries, really good coffee. Usually get iced oat matcha or iced oat latte. Lemon poppy and mixed berry loaf are amazing. Majority of the staff are pretty chill and nice. Good music and all together a relaxed space. Aiden has a snarky attitude, Not really into getting an attitude when I’m paying $20 + tip for coffee every time I order from him.

Perfect espresso. Very friendly and kind stuff. I prefer a little bit more louder the music. I prefer to enjoy the music with my delicious croissant, than to listen the others conversations. I will come again and again ...

The lady working the walk up window was so lovely and nice, service was quick! I deducted a Star because the cappuccino tasted like a latte and just wasn't good. :(

So thankful to have this place in the neighborhood. The coffee is fantastic and I always enjoy the friendly service. It’s been fun getting to try some of their seasonal stuff they add on the menu during the fall and winter too. I would kinda like to see them start offering some fresh/not pre-packaged baked goods but at least the options they do have are sourced from another local Astoria bakery.

Great space to get a coffee to go on your way to the subway or stay and work. Good coffee, lots of windows for natural light, several outlets along the bench for your computer and light music so that you can actually think. We were looking for a coffee shop to work at near the airport and this spot was perfect. Lots of places to grab coffee but most shops are too small or not a good space to work and some don't have restrooms for customers! This place hit all the marks. They have oatmilk and seasonal coffee drinks which I love. I tried their matcha and I also tried their autumn spice latte. Both Excellent Ran out of vegan baked goods but they've only been open a couple weeks. Definitely check them out!

Mighty Oak was one of the first places I visited when I moved to Astoria in 2019, when they were still offering indoor seating. Fast forward to 3 years later, and I’m still a regular! Through the pandemic and after, they have not once compromised on their quality. And though I’m not as close to the shop as I was when I moved in 2019, I think the drinks, the baked goods, and the service is very worth my 20-min walk to the shop from home. And even if you don’t drink coffee, they have really good iced/hot chocolate drinks, matcha lattes, and teas! Take it from my boyfriend — he lives in London and the only coffee shop he wants to go to when he visits NYC is Mighty Oak!! Mighty Oak is a gem, not only in Astoria, but in the city!!

Some of the best local coffee in the neighborhood. Cool shop that supports local business and charities, friendly baristas, and great drinks. I've heard some friends complain about the "burnt flavor" of the wood roasted coffee but those philistines just want sugar with a side of caffeine. Try it if you're here. It's good stuff.

I really wanted to like this place, but they did not have single origin coffee drinks available when I went with a friend. He ended up ordering a matcha. I end up ordering plain drip coffee served out of a thermos. The weird thing is that they did offer to sell me bags of their single origin coffee. Disappointing. What is the point of calling yourself a roaster if you can't even offer people a taste of some single origin? It is a big disappointment for anyone who come here expecting to try some unique beans/brews.

The outside line was long but ordering was pretty quick. The service was okay unfortunately they forgot to put the 1/2 & 1/2 as I requested. Aside from that, the coffee was okay. I ordered an Americano which I expected to be a little bit stronger. I would recommend some soft music for your customers that are outside waiting patiently. Next time I visit I will take photos and upload with my next review.

Best coffee place around, the fact there is always a small queue of local people in front is a sign if goodness. Try different coffee beans they roast, they're all great with a preference for the Sasaba, an Ethiopian roast just perfect. They do indicate on each bag when it was roasted, it is a great indication on the freshness of your beans, and surely something you won't find everywhere. Will go back again and again !

The Jade Cloud Tea was alright. There's no dining in at this time, just take out through the window. I will grind and try their wood roasted coffee beans at home.
