Absolutely fantastic experience at The Funky Farm. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted at the gate by your private tour guide - we were lucky enough to have Kris and Michelle, who were both great. He was very knowledgeable and really good with the kids (ranging in ages from 10months to 3 5years). The other staff who also helped along the tour were all amazing and super friendly. It was a very engaging experience and would 100% recommend to everyone.

The ticket to be booked in advance. $28/person. Highly recommended! Fantastic experience at the farm. You can pet various animals that were very well taken care of. There were two staff members who will give you the details of the habitat of each animal so you can gain more knowledge about wild animals. It's a great opportunity for children to learn how to protect wildlife and nature.

What a wonderful experience for both adults and kids! The Funky farm is different than many other animal farms I had visited, there are lots of hands on encounters with animals at the Funky Farm. Our guide for the morning was so nice and professional , we really enjoyed our visit there today! Thanks Funky farm and staff! Keep up with the great work !

This is the greatest zoo, farm or sanctuary around. Chris and the team have an absolute care for the animals that I haven't seen before. The guided tour and fully hands 9n experience is 2nd to none. I cannot recommend this place enough and will be telling anyone who will listen that this is 110% worth going to over anywhere else. Our kids loved patting and holding the vast variety of Animals. The wife and I loved hearing the ins and outs of all the animals. Absolutely amazing place.

Chris was an Amazing young man with our Participant today. I have never met a young man with the empathy and patience like he has. People with any Disability are transformed in to heroes in a few minutes. His team are sensational!

I recently booked a private tour for a group of 20 people for my son's 6th birthday and it was incredible. Our tour guide, Amos, was engaging, funny, passionate, knowledgeable and so much fun. The children were in absolute awe of him! It is clear that Chris, Sam and their team run Funky Farm for all the right reasons. The animals, many that have been rescued, are so well cared for and handled with such love and respect. We have been many times and it's always so informative and fun. The grounds are beautiful and being able to book a private tour is totally worth it. Check out their Facebook page to see all the wonderful work they do. Thanks again Funky Farm for the best time. You're awesome!

If you haven't already been, do yourself a favour and get down to the Funky Farm and enjoy a fantastic experience with Chris and the team. I've never been a fan of zoos so these guys are a perfect alternative. You'll get to immerse yourself in a fantastic hands on experience with the wildlife on your 1.5hr guided tour, which will go by in a flash. All three of us loved our experience today and we will be back again... And again... And again! Can't wait to see you guys again. Thank you for the amazing care you provide to your beautiful animals 😍

What a wonderful place. Kris our host was very knowledgeable. We were in a group of 10. Got to touch sugar gliders, wombats, snakes and reptiles. Hamish the horse is a legend. Tyrone the Emu was also very friendly. Kangaroos, wallabies and koalas too. Great day out.

I always love coming to Funky Farm as it is so interactive, the staff are very friendly and very informative with all animals shown. My support Worker was a bit worried about the snakes this time( she was so petrified of touching/holding them. Well done Chris and team for a wonderful day out there at Funky Farm. I'll certainly be coming back for more.

Beautiful place with lots to see and experience. The guides are all kind, knowledgeable and super friendly. Highly recommend. Disability friendly. The best wildlife experience we have experienced so far and we have been to many zoos and sanctuaries all over the country. Will definitely go back very soon.

Had such an incredible experience at the Funky farm today. We were amazed the whole way through with a very informative tour and lots of questions and answer time and lots of laughs along the way. Would highly recommend for a family a date or just anyone wanting to spend a couple of hours with nature and beautiful animals that you don’t just get to look at but to learn from and be able to touch as well 🀩

Brilliant private animal sanctuary that does small group guided tours of their facility. Got to feed wallabies, take a picture with an emu, hold a (small) crocodile and pet a wombat when we were there. The kids (and adults!) loved it! Our guides Chris and Chris were awesome, engaging, friendly, entertaining. A really enjoyable visit and we heard from another family in our group that they come every year and it changes every time. Well done guys, thanks for sharing your love for animals with us.

We had a wonderful time at The Funky Farm learning about and getting up close and personal with the animals. A brilliant small, interactive and inclusive farm on the peninsula. My son walked away today saying "my cheeks are broken from smiling so much". Chris was our guide and his passion and care for each of the animals just shone through. Highly recommend.

A really great experience for the whole family. We got to see and even meet (with lots of pats) loads of Australian animals while learning all about them. Dingos, wombats, sugar gliders, emus, wallabies and loads more. Really entertaining guide. It was an amazing couple of hours. The kids loved it.

Funky Farm came highly recommended to us and it did not disappoint. We went with the whole family as an early birthday celebration for our toddler and enjoyed every minute. Very interactive and so inspiring to hear how much they care for the beautiful animals. A huge thank you to Kris our tour guide for his passion, patience and entertainment. We could see how much he genuinely loved the animals and how comfortable they felt in his arms. We will be back!

Had a wonderful visit with family, including 2 in wheelchairs. A staff member was waiting for us in carpark & directed to a closer area to park to unload wheelchairs. The small group size was perfect for a more intimate, hands on experience. Fantastic array of animals to meet, & plenty of opportunity to pat & hold most of them. Would highly recommend a visit to the Funky Farm 😊

We've booked a session. The tour gives you opportunities to have close contact with wild life animals where you usually can see them in cages in zoos. You can have a chance to touch wombats, wallabies, snake and more. We had a great time there. Be sure you get there early enough.

Took my 2.5 year old and we both loved it! A small group is toured around the venue and educated on animals before getting to have a hold! My partner couldn't make it and I advised on entry and they refunded me without even asking. Great customer service.

Another great experience at The Funky Farm. We had such a great time when we first went, we wanted to bring some overseas visitors and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. And we found it just as good the second time, even though it was pouring rain.

I would highly recommend The Funky Farm to anyone wanting an up close experience with native animals. The farm is wheelchair accessible which is great. The tour group won’t go where a wheelchair won’t go so no one misses out. We were greeted by our tour guide Amos at the car park and he was absolutely fantastic! Very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. The groups aren’t big so everyone gets a turn holding and interacting with the animals and you can take as many photos and videos as you like. A highlight for me was getting to meet the wombats. I’ve wanted to pat a wombat forever and finally got to do it. All the staff are really friendly and I loved how the animals are all rescued or taken in when they’ve been surrendered or abandoned by people no longer able to take care of them. All the animals are well looked after. I had the best day out at this farm. I’m definitely going to go back for another visit.

We visit the Funky Farm a few weeks ago. Sam is an amazing person and is so passionate about what he does! I am always cautious about visiting zoos, but all animals are very well cared for and the Funky Farm team has the highest respect for them and they are all rescued or bred on site. It was very interactive and could touch or hold all the animals besides the koalas for their well-being. We were a family group of 8 adults and 2 kids ranging from 2-64 and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks Funky Farm team 🫢🏽

We had a wonderful time at the funky farm. Ambus gave us a great tour of the different animal worlds. We were given lots of information and were allowed to interact with the animals. It's really valuable that there are people like this who put their heart and soul into caring for the animals. Highly recommended!!! All the other staff at the farm were also really nice.

Took my neice and nephews to this beautiful farm today. You get up close and personal with the animals, the staff are very knowledgeable, they take great care of their animals and was really impressed that they do work with special needs children and everything is wheelchair accessible. Very inclusive! Chris and Ambrose 🀣 were absolutely amazing. Definitely will visit again and highly recommend a visit to this farm

Great experience, intimate small groups. Educational as well as being close and personal with the animals. This would be lovely for differently abled people and people in wheelchairs. I would definitely recommend this for my NDIS clients in future.

My husband and i visited this morning for the first time as our daughter turned 1 today. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. All of the animals were absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed hearing their stories/general facts about them. The group was small and the time there was brief. We didnt leave feeling drained like you may do at the zoo. It was a very special way to spend our daughters first birthday. Thank you for sharing this with everyone , we will return : )

This was a great experience. The team at the Funky Farm were fantastic. From arrival to finish they were friendly, informative and all the animals appeared to be in great condition and unbothered by our presence. Our toddler loved this unique experience, unmatched by any other farm/zoo we've ever been to. We highly recommend a visit to the Funky Farm.

We were gifted tickets to the Funky Farm for my kids birthday presents and they absolutely loved it. We did too. I can’t believe how brave my 1 and 4 year old were touching snakes and baby crocodiles! Best day out, highly recommend. And an hour and a half is more than enough for little kids this age so it was perfect.

We hosted our daughters birthday here over the weekend and the whole experience was fantastic! A great time had from the minute we were kindly welcomed by the all staff at the front gate. A special thanks to Amos and Chris who were brilliant and so engaging with all the kids. Thanks for sharing your knowledge about all your amazing animals and the special interactions all the guests got to enjoy. All the kids AND parents left with big smiles and are desperate to get back! Thanks Funky Farm!

We had the most amazing afternoon at The Funky Farm! Sam and Chris have the most beautiful space and are the most gorgeous people. All the staff are so knowledgable, kind, courteous and welcoming. The love and care they have for the Funky Farm animals is second to none. They teach you how to simply be with the animals in a safe and caring way. Our youngest has a fear of animals and Chris spent some time introducing her to some of the baby animals to help her relax and feel safe. We would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Worth every dollar on visiting them. My 2nd trip! Very interactive and knowledgeable staff. I did a booking with 4 kids, 2 toddlers, together with 12 adults. From 1.5 yrs to 70 yrs old. Everyone enjoyed it. They were kind to arrange a session for us. Animals are also well looked after. A must visit if you are in Melbourne. You get to touch, feel and understand these animals there.

What a fantastic place! We had the best day learning about and getting up close with the animals. The tour is so personal and gives you opportunities that you'd never get anywhere else! We got to pat wombats, emus, hand feed birds and giant horses, hold blue tongue lizards, bearded dragons, baby crocodile and a big snake! It was informative and so much fun. Would recommend any day of the week!

What an outstanding experience! We are from the U.S. and really wanted to see some Aussie animals up close. The guide, Susan, was informative with a touch of humor. She clearly has a special bond with the animals. All of the animals were either someone's pets or rescued from dire situations and cannot be placed back in the wild. We could touch many of the animals and see them up close. The animals are clearly well cared for and have lots of room to roam. I would highly recommend booking a visit. The farm also has developed ways for people with disabilities to interact well with the animals.

Absolutely loved our day at Funky Farm. Five stars experience in every way. Our guide was super knowledgeable, friendly and paid attention to each guest (she made sure everyone had a turn to pat or feed an animal and everyone who wished had a picture done). Animals are very well looked after and are in a very good conditions. Funky farm is perfect for families with little children, as groups are small and tour takes 1,5 hours (just enough for little ones to keep their attention and not to get overwhelmed). Also it's a perfect place to visit for foreign guests, as there are mostly Australian animals there which you won't find easily in other countries zoos.

A wonderful place for families and most importantly animals! Chris and Sam have done an incredible job in building an beautiful, caring, inviting and accessible animal sanctuary. Every animal has an interesting story which the knowledgeable guides relay along side fascinating facts for young and old. Couldn’t recommend the Funky Farm enough! Thank you for having us.

The prices are so affordable, the staff so knowledgeable and it's always booked out was a Greta sign. Seriously enjoyed our trip down, kids got to hold snakes and feed the animals. Was such a great day! Loads of parking, infant facilities and everyone's so friendly. Despite we drove 90min each way, book a restaurant by the sea and make it a full day event! Highly recommend the visit.

This place is incredible! Our tour guide was so friendly and made sure all the kids had a turn at holding or patting the animals. You can tell that they are very well looked after and loved. So informative and interactive. We all had such a great day. What a hidden gem πŸ’Ž We’ll be back!

What fantastic afternoon. Such a personalised, warm, enthusiastic and heartfelt tour. The fact that they only allow small groups and spend the time really made this something special. Animal interactions were great and it was nice to see that they each had their own story that was relatable. Thank you to Chris and Sam and the team.

We went to funky farm as a school holiday experience for my 3 year old niece. From the very start we were made to feel welcome and could tell this was a place that had a lot of love and care go into it. The tour itself was tailored to small groups which was great for the group as it was personal and interactive, and great for the animals as it wasn't too overwhelming. The anecdotes and information given were really engaging and at the end of the tour everyone left with a smile. Thank you funky farm for a great experience.
