Wonderful pub that has a dining area and more relaxed bar area with fires and sofas. Excellent food and delivered through assured and quality service. The staff seemed to all work as a team and enjoyed the job making the atmosphere and experience excellent.

Had the Swordfish steak from the daily special menu and I must say, I was impressed. The place is huge, has plenty of sitting areas and the staff is friendly too. Rare that a local pub has good service and excellent kitchen. Recommended! There is a good selection of beers on tap as well! Overall a great experience!

First time here and it was incredible! The staff were absolutely lovely, the food was delicious, and the environment was cozy. I had the Sunday roast with a start and finished off with the best sticky toffee pudding I've ever had! Highly recommend everyone try The Red Lion!!

We visited on a Thursday early afternoon ( 2PM ), fairly busy but not overwhelming. They had no sign saying order at the bar and no numbers on the tables, so we sat down and waited. No one came, I went to get menus. A waiter took the order the table next to us so waited a little longer. Told someone that we would like to order, and the same waiter sent me to the bar to place our order. Then a few min later he went and took the order from the table behind us. The rest of our lunch was fine, the food was great and service was fast.

We had a problem with the reservation, I made a reservation twice through the website but never received confirmation. At least we sat at the bar and tried the roast, the food was good and fast, the cauliflower cheese was very tasty.

I love this pub! The food is so good! The atmosphere is always buzzing. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Pub and restaurant seating but would highly recommend you to book as it's always busy.

Been here several times and it's always wonderful! Service is excellent, food is delightful and the setting is stunning. Always feel very looked after (and full) by the time the meal is done! Specials are incredibly good, would recommend The Red Lion, fabulous!

The baked Camembert was excellent, as was the calves liver & bacon salad. The chips were outstanding, but my burger was over cooked. The Nutella doughnuts were also a bit over fried and the shells had got a bit too hard. Service was a bit slow.

Absolutely superb food and service! Visited on Father's Day without a booking and was able to get a table. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered fishcakes to start which was delicious and came with a spicy mayo. For mains my husband had the lamb roast and I chose the double cooked pork with crackling. We were very happy with both meals, they tasted great and looked great. We were stuffed at the end of the meal. We will definitely be coming here again as our local. Thank you to the staff who made us feel welcome

Had a Sunday roast for my dinner, indeed the quality is not bad. A good dining place worth coming with friends.

Great menu and looks lovely inside and out. Food was beautifully presented and very tasty. The staff are nice and stop to chat a little which makes you feel comfortable. A nice new cover outside and if the weather turns you can mostly be under cover or the indiviytables on the lawn all have umbrellas.

We ended up here after a day trip to Woking to see a show at the local theatre and I forgot about the show after trying the food. The mushroom soup was amazing, the salad was amazing, the desserts, even the cocktails. Everything was amazing.

This venue is amazing lovely food and hospitality! A special mention to James J, Duncan and Gaetano. They made my visit throughly enjoyable. I will definitely be returning again. They are a testament to how a business should be run! Highly recommended ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Firstly, I must point out that we are regulars of the Red Lion 🦁 and this may seem as if we are being biased, however, yesterday, they just proved themselves 1000%! Sadly, we had a family wake held here and Duncan, Katie, Lee, Monica and the rest of the team did us so proud. Food service and attention to detail were 2nd to none and we count ourselves lucky to have such a fabulous pub on our doorstep. Many of our guests were so envious of what we are proud to call our local. Thank you so much for looking after us especially as the occasion was so special. Love to you all x

The food is of average quality and could be a tad more refined. That said, the staff provided impressively good service which is surely a plus.

We had a team Christmas Lunch here and were all very impressed by the food and service. We were a party of 19, and the ease of booking, pre-ordering and making alterations to the booking lead to a very good first impression. I had to call a couple of times to increase the number of attendees, and on both occasions this was very easy to do. On the day, service was highly attentive, and the staff were both welcoming and accommodating. We had an extra person join us unexpectedly and this was kindly accommodated. The food was equally good, with all dietary needs catered for. I'd highly recommend a visit.

The food is usually decent here, though quite pricey, mind you, where isn't? Service was a little slow as we were a big group so had to wait till tables that came after us got served. We had a small child with us and they has a kid's meal, but no colouring books or anything to entertain her. As a family pub I was a little disappointed by that. Otherwise, good place for a Sunday roast with generous servings of roast spuds.

My first visit to the Red Lion, which is about 1 mile walk from Woking Station. This was for a works Christmas dinner function with food pre-ordered from the Christmas Menu. The food was superb. The wild mushrooms for starters were served with a creamy sauce, The beef cooked in red wine was tender and 'fall apart' with a really nice mix of seasonal veg, and the sticky toffee pudding was... I think... the best I have ever had. We were well looked after, great service.

An excellent evening here today. The service and kindness with looking after our buggy, giving us extra space as our table was initially a little cramped and just the overall care was second to none. Food was enjoyed by everyone and done beautifully, including dietary restrictions. Definitely recommended and will continue to enjoy dining here! Thank you!

Good food. Great staff. Be nice to see a manager wander around every once in a while, but otherwise, recommended.
