Beautiful woodland to walk through. Obviously, a bit of a shame the nuclear power station, hums loudly and isn't shielded from view by trees. But, just don't look left and you'll be fine. Also, only a layby to park in a bit up the road. And no pavement from the layby to the entrance. The entrance is at 52.9362783, -4.0053903. It feels a very ancient forest walk and it's has up and down hill bits, but the path is well maintained with slate chips, with steps in places. But, probably not great in wet weather. There's a few benches to sit and it's a fairly quiet place to go. I heard beautiful bird song, unfortunately they were too well camouflage to see.

Absolutely stunning walk, feels like going back in time. Good mixed walk, plenty of up and downs with stunning waterfalls, bridges and pools along the way. Not for those needing wheelchairs or for people who struggle with hills.

A beautiful walk, we set out to find the waterfall and it was a long walk to get there but worth it. It's not clear from the outset or from the reviews how long it takes to get there so be prepared. That being said, the trail is enjoyable and challenging, and provides some pretty views.

Amazing forest, Google maps and directions on tree trust website need updating or better explanations for travel by car route that open to public walk is required. We arrived to the walk which was temporarily closed due to tree falls. Would come back

Such a beautiful hike through a temperature rainforest/Celtic rainforest. There is only a handful of them left in the UK. It felt so special to walk through such a ancient woodland; it was covered in moss and lichens, and home to so many species and wildlife. Hike is steep in places and followed a trail on AllTrails. We parked in a layby which was a 2 min walk from the entrance. Highly recommend!

From what we saw, this is a place of outstanding natural beauty. However, probably due to recent storms, only managed to walk about 0.4 miles due to fallen trees. There are many fallen trees but got to a point where they became impassable.would love to visit again once these are removed

Amazing wood, unfortunately the storms have brought down lots of trees. This has turned the path along the river into an assault course.

Beautiful ancient forest, lots of trees, ferns, and fungi. Map at the entrance slightly out of date, and some paths not as dry and navigable as one might like, but overall very enjoyable.

No car parking badly sign posted paths, some closed off. One sign directed us into a swamp. Definitely not going back.
