Amazing views. Old fortress rebuilt with good access. Worth a quick detour. No admission fee, access road then 15min hike up mountain from Mostar side or access road from Kravica side

Castle ruins with amazing views over the surrounding area, Ljubuški, valley. Castle is now under restoration but it can be visited. Parking is next to the castle.

I had seen this place before and after its restorations, and I must say it is absolutely beautiful. They have managed to restore the fortress to its former glory without compromising its ancient architecture. Parts of the site are yet to be completely excavated with various buildings and ruins to explore. On top of the mountain is a breathtaking view—you can see for miles around you. You can see more coastal mountains to the west, and in the distance to the northeast, you can see the high mountains that surround Mostar. Between there and you and a little more East you can see Medjugore. This fortress has a rich and interesting history as well and is the best spot to see the sunset in Ljubuski!

A really fun free fortress to explore with fantastic views of the surrounding area. There are a lot a ruins but also a fully restored main tower with stairs to the top. You could easily spend an hour or more wandering around and taking photos. It also has plenty of benches and trash bins which is a nice bonus. If you're in Mostar and have a car rental, you should definitely check it out.

The fort complex consists of two parts. The central tower of the rectangular shape, popularly called "Herceguša", built in the late 14th or early 15th centuries and a perimeter wall in the shape of an irregular polygon with massive towers, dating from the Ottoman period after 1472. The complex covers an area of 3,350 m2 and consists of several units, such as a small and large steeple with a table and various buildings; guardhouse, granary, bakery, armory, gunpowder and 4 water tanks.

It’s sad that the place is obviously damaged by people because there is no info-table about the site or anything for visitors to get more info. I really loved the old buildings and wild nature around the old disintegrated fortress. Very beautiful and definitely worth a visit along your way. Wonderful view!

Great views from out-of-the-way fortress with relatively easy access by car and a short walk. You won't add to your step count, but it's not a death march either.

Castle ruins which were fun to explore and scramble over with 2 teenage children. And the views are stunning. Probably only worth spending an hour here and there's not much information available about the history.
