I wanted to visit this historic bridge since a long time finally got an opportunity. It did not disappoint me at all. It is a one of a kind walking bridge over the Neretva. The floor is a bit slippery on the bridge the technique to walk without slipping is to put the foot on the steps and walk. The bridge gets crowded during the day. There are some local boys jumping into the river from the bridge. They keep collecting money from all the people on the Stari Most once a good amount is collected they jump. This is kind of a tourist trap. To get good photos is to visit the Stari Most early in the morning as there a no crowds then. At night too the views are nice. The Stari most is open 24 hours. The views of the historic mosques of old town Mostar are amazing from the bridge.

Beautiful restoration of the original Ottoman bridge from the 1500s. You will find many tourists and shops in this area. Its definitely worth checking out and taking a picture of it! The river neretva that runs by it is absolutely beautiful and amazing! Bosnia is one of the few places in Europe where the nature it self will leave you with an awe inspiring feeling. Go see it for yourself! Highly recommend!

A beautiful old bridge, definitely a must see attraction. The bridge itself was extremely busy, and quite difficult to cross due to how slippy the stones are. However the best views of the bridge are of course from the surrounding area, not the bridge itself! Definitely recommend checking out a few different locations to get a good photo, and coming at golden hour is a bonus as the lighting makes the bridge look beautiful.

Nice and interesting place you should see once. The old town around the bridge is infested with tourists, I don't have to worry about it a second time. The guarded parking spaces in this area currently cost €10.

Excellent 👌 A wonderful city where you will enjoy the collision of architecture, Ottoman, European, post-communist, etc. You will enjoy dishes that mostly have a strong touch with Ottoman cuisine...very tasty!!! And of course the old UNESCO heritage bridge 🔝🎉

The most famous place in Mostar. Very small bridge full of tourists. I do not recommend for families with small children and trolleys because the surface is not flat. The view? Incredible🫶❤️👍🏻 The atmosphere? Amazing❤️ A lot of small shops and bazaars. Honestly speaking- must have to see⭐️👍🏻☀️

The history and the beauty. Somehow an absolute MUST SEE and know in this World. Its Not only the bridge its the stories around the place. Take your time and see it, better inhale what happend here in the 90s. I love the place and the Spirit and energy the central Element of Mostar is giving. Enjoy your stay.

Absolutely beautiful place to visit. We only went here as an add on trip, but it ended up being out favourite excursion. The architecture is stunning, and walking through the bazaar of Most is also a fantastic experience. It's worth stopping for food in one of the restaurants that overlook the river and the bridge. There are also free drinking fountains where you can fill up bottles of water.

One of the most beautiful places to visit in the city of Mostar is the old bridge, which was built during the era of the Ottoman Empire. The bridge extends over the Neretva River, and between the sides of the river is the old city and the bazaar (popular market), which sells traditional and souvenir goods and many beautiful popular restaurants. The place is wonderful and the view from the top of the bridge Beautiful and worth visiting and taking souvenir photos.

Impressive. The height of 25 meters is quite high and they just jump down. Hammer. The old town with its small alleys, restaurants and small shops is worth a visit.

I don't have to say much about the beauty of the bridge, the other reviews already do that. Absolutely worth seeing! Tip: What I can definitely recommend is not to visit the bridge between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. like the majority of visitors do. No, it's absolutely worth going there with the first rays of sunshine around 6 a.m. Along with two fishermen, we were there alone and were able to take incredibly beautiful pictures with the rising sun. It's also worth it in the evening sun. Be sure to grab something to eat beforehand in one of the restaurants with a view of the bridge!

We were here in late autumn, very worth seeing. You can really enjoy the place because there are fewer tourists. You should have seen it

The most beautiful landmark in Mostar and the whole Bosnia and Herzegovina. The vibe is just amazing The people very kind and you can have awesome lights to take pictures on the sunset. Just awesome. There are many shops to get souvenirs and eat traditional food. I really loved it and I will be back!!!

It’s really a beautiful area and a visit cannot be missed. Full of angles where you can take beautiful pictures and enjoy the magic atmosphere. A lot of markets for the tourists, prices are high but it is normal considering the area, which is very touristic. Nevertheless when I was there it was not so crowded, so at the end it was nice also to have a walk through the markets on the road to the bridge. Enjoy and don’t forget to take pictures;-)

Being main attraction of Mostar, this beautiful bridge attracts lot of tourists. It gets very busy during the day with many souvenir shops and small food joints on both sides of the road. There are many restaurants at waterfront. Also, there are museums nearby for anyone interested in history. From parking, it’s almost 15 minutes walk. Consider visiting it once if you are in Bosnia.

Absolutely stunning place to visit. Every turn you make there is another photo opportunity. And best of all, it's all very cheap. From eating out to buying gifts, it won't hurt your bank account. Even the drive/bus ride to get here from Dubrovnik is one of the most scenic drives ever. Go visit ASAP.

Great day, busy place but really cool, red bull divers were jumping off the bridge when I was there. There's also a tower museum next to the bridge that was surprisingly empty considering how good it was. Tried a local beer that was very good

A magnificent building with historical significance. Although we had rain on our first visit, it was still an experience. Finally, we also observed the legendary bridge jumpers. And on the last day there was a full moon over the bridge - it couldn't be topped!

This is an incredibly beautiful place to visit and very well worth the trip. It has great historical significance as well, tho very saddening. The whole area around it has great food places.

In the old town, there are in fact 2 bridges. The original one (which is a smaller version) and the known one for the diving competition. I have added 1 photo of the original and a few of the "famous" one

It was a sunny day and it is hot. The place was nice, the old markets near by are nice also. There are a lot of beggars around. It is not a place to visit in summer at all.

This famous old bridge was constructed during the Ottoman era. It was one of its kind, designed by the great architect Sinan and implemented by his student. It has a magnificent view in the valley. Mountains are on both side.

I was glad to finally visit Old bridge/Stari Most. We got there late in night with most stores and restaurants already closed and feeling was mesmerizing walking through what looked alike old city. During the daytime we witnessed true beauty of Bridge.

It was 1 day trip to Mostar. Unfortunately bridge was destroyed during war and fortunately fully reconstructed. Still it is a symbol of this city and it's a nice experience to go from one side of river to another. Entire country is beautiful and not so popular as Croatia, so we need to come back and see more in this country.

  • 5/5 Luana S. 6 months ago on Google
What a beautiful place to visit! The bridge is quite tricky to walk since the rocks used in the floor are slippery. There is a boat service for the ones who wants to see it from the river, but you can have great views from the market and also from the borders.

Beautiful bridge, beautiful city, we came for the day from Split (Croatia) and it was worth it. Visiting the city was also a good opportunity to learn more about the history of the country and the war. Great food around the bridge, with a lot of shops if you want to bring some souvenir.

Pedestrian only bridge, was rebuilt but still impressive and nice to see! Plenty of viewpoints around to get a better photo of the bridge. Careful it gets very slippery when it rains.

Magic place, full of energy. It's really incredible to see it back in its glory from ashes and rubble.

  • 5/5 Samir V. 2 years ago on Google
Unrealistic to think it's in this world!!! When you walk through the small bazar stalls and shops, slipping and sliding past the hustle and bustle then wham! It hits you! Stari Most (Old Bridge) in the centre of your vision... To remember the Ottoman Empire designated it's construction and had it built then for it to later be destroyed in spite and hate. Now after funding from several countries prior to its re-construction it has it's historical charm back in it's place. Just awe for it's utter beauty. The view afar and from the bridge is breathtaking. The beautiful mountains, the old brickwork, restaurants and their unique locations. The clean turquoise water with a strong hint of emerald to it. You must go! By train from Sarajevo it is 2:30-50mins one way.

It was an amazing experience to be there and understand the war that just happened there couple decades ago and appreciate the environment and the beauty of the bridge. Hope no more wars because ı would be sad if this place wasnt here. Overall small place but filled with history, I would recommend going into the museums next to the bridge

This place is beautiful. Can get very busy due to the tourism, however it is more than worth a visit. There are very few authentic local stores mixed into the obvious tourist milking stalls, however in some you will find locals who have sat and handmade goods to sell for a very reasonable price. Perfect souvenirs. The restaurants nearby are cheap and the locals friendly enough. A place with incredible history, and immense beauty.

such a picturesque area as you stand on the bridge and overlook the beautiful water. it’s right in the heart of old town as well which makes you feel like you’ve been transported to another time and place. in the summer, you can hang out and watch the daredevils jump from the bridge into the water below.

  • 5/5 Robin 1 year ago on Google
A lot of tourist tat in the vicinity, but the bridge itself was fantastic. Best views are if you can drop down to river levels - you can have a speedboat trip along the river for €5pp.

Beautiful bridge over crystal clear water. We travelled from Split by bus, there was good crowds there the day we went but still very enjoyable, a few good places to take photos from the bottom. Lots of places to eat, I had a kebab it was tidy. The day we went there was people diving off the bridge which was very entertaining to watch. If your in Split or Dubrovnik I think you should visit it

Definitely worth a visit to see this impeccably reconstructed bridge after it was destroyed in 1993. If you’re lucky you will catch one of the divers! Lots to see and buy, lots of great restaurants. It’s really busy in the tourist season but still remains charming.

  • 5/5 Rebecca A. 1 year ago on Google
A beautiful bridge 💕 it gets jammed during the day with people wanting to watch the bridge jumpers. Recommend visiting early morning or finding a nice viewing spot of her lit up at night (there’s also a great selection of restaurants to get dinner/drinks with a view).

  • 4/5 Claire K. 10 months ago on Google
Beautiful bridge,! Fantastic views on both sides of the river..but be warned very slippy when its wet! But worth seeing..also visited the stalls on both sides of the bridge, all cobble stone pathways here too..so wear sensible shoes..!

  • 5/5 Ante B. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing piece of history in the old town. There are always guys on the bridge willing to jump but you have to give them some money, so do it!

  • 5/5 Hugo C. 2 years ago on Google
Beautiful city with a wonderful bridge that was rebuild after being bombarded after the war. Story tells this bridge was built by a young architect that made this courage project for the time that he probably didn't believed at the time because for fear of being sentenced to dead in case the bridge wouldn't hold he disappeared before the inaugural day without receiving the credit for such a wonderful piece of architecture. People actually dive from the bridge to the river, if you pay them.

  • 5/5 Kevin M. 6 months ago on Google
Really cool spot that's worth visiting. I recommend coming here in the early morning to skip crowds. Tip: you can get a good view of the bridge from the other bridges north and south of this one. You can also see it from the riverbed just south.

  • 4/5 Rob H. 7 months ago on Google
Definitely a crowded area full of tours. Not sure I can really recommend a visit unless you’re really into trinket shopping as the streets of old town are just lined with trinket shops. The Baklava here that I got was fantastic.

  • 5/5 Moira M. 8 months ago on Google
Absolutely gorgeous. It is very crowded and very slippery. The views are great, but there is also another bridge further down from which you can get an unobstructed view with few people. Occasionally, people jump for money, but sometimes they’re scamming you, so buyer beware. Pickpocketing is common so watch your stuff
