I am gonna give 1 star because i cannot give you 0. You are rude people, if you dont want people around your house and your property dont make your house a hostel. I felt that my privacy was really violated by you, and that you were trying to put us through a horrible stay in purpose, because for some reason you decided not to like my group. I think it is enough with the reviews that my friends wrote and i dont need to explain much more, if you want to be a better hostess there is a lot of room for you to improve, it is up to you.

The rooms are too small; only one of them is for 2 people with a king-size bed, the rest of the rooms are for 7 and 5 people and most of them are with bunk beds. The rooms doesnt have their keys, only the 2-people room has its own. There are no gardrobe whatsoever, the fridge is in the common area so you have to share it with people, and the worst of it is that you have to share ONLY 3 bathrooms with around 30-35 people. Also they are not clean at all. And there are a lot of cats and a dog in the hostels garden so if you are allergic, keep that in mind. One of our friends was allergic to cats and apparently the blanket that was given to her was not cleaned properly, because she had to use it since the room was cold due to the Air conditioner being automatic and woke up to an allergic reaction. The hostel itself speaks for its host. The lady is not friendly at all, we couldnt reached her when we needed and when we were checking out she even shouted at some of our friends. She has the control to all of the Air conditioners in the rooms and she doesnt allow you to change the temperature individually. The ACs open around nighttime and close at 8:00 AM.

Very unfriendly owner and daughter. No air conditioning even when it was 40c. The daughter of the owner was rude to many of the guests. The bathrooms needed a good clean. The only reason most people stay at this hotel is the price. but for one euro more you can get a nice hostel with air conditioning.

We had the worse experience at this hostel! Owners were rude and impolite from the minute we entered. Cats were in the house, even in the room on the first floor, which was a really big problem because a few people had allergies. And also, cats hair was on bed sheets and covers. AC was also a really big problem, because we couldn't controle it, and it was on during the whole night, so it was either freezing in our rooms, or really hot if the owner turned it off. I could also discuss hygiene and the state of the toilets! We heard a lot of disgusting and horrible curse words and insults from the owner, and her whole family! They even got into a fight with us and a man that was there threatend and got into a face of agirl, our friend, which was nothing less than a traumatic experience!

Words cannot describe how unkind the hosts of this hostel are. There is no need to get into details, the hosts are verbally abusive and physically threatening. Nothing nice to say about the hostel itself; dirty, smelly and too small for the amount of people.

I put one star just because I cannot put 0. I visited this place for the weekend with my friends and it is by far the worst place i 've ever stayed at. Where to begin...The rooms are too small, and we were stacked up 7 people into a room that barely had place to step on the floor. The blankets were not clean and you could feel the dust in the air. The premises have only 3 bathrooms, hence you have to wait in line if you want to use it. They were dirty, bad smelling and the warm water was enough only for 3 people to shower. The AC was controlled by the hostess so she was turning it on and off whenever she wanted to and when we asked for some adjustments since our room was too cold, she answered with some really rude words (in Bosnian of course in order not to understand her-but unfortunately for her our Bosnian friends translated them to us). The hostel has some pets in the yard that sometimes were getting into our room, as it was on the ground floor. As a result a friend of mine developed anaphylactic shock. The worst was the behaviour of the owner and her family as they were extremely rude to us. They were shouting to my friends, offending us and at the end they kicked us out, threatening to call the police. We eventually stayed 1 night there, instead of 2 we booked, and i think we made the right choice when we left. I wasn't expecting anything better for the premises for 8euros/night but i think that good manners are self-evident.

Clean hostel for the price, ok breakfast but weird rules. AC is opened only at around 9pm to 8am by a remote (I was there in August when it was super hot). You need to check out at 10:30 am and leave then (your bags can stay), if not, you need to pay 10€. I was tired and wanted to take a nap and couldn't because of the heat. Also, last night of my stay they didn't open the AC in the room and I came back around 1 am and struggled to sleep and had no one to tell. I was not treated bad but there were some weird vibes out there, and you can read other reviews. Pay 2 more euro and have unlimited AC somewhere else.

They seem annoyed from the tourist they are hosting. It's a family home with bunk beds in the rooms and for the price it's okay. Just they will give bad vibes if you're not acting like they want you to. For 1-2 nights okay, for more I don't feel comfortable. I didn't had any problems but I saw how they treat others tourist. Everything is fine for the price it's just about the vibe..

Strict check out at 10:30. I checked out on time and sat outside to look some things up online, but after 20 mins the younger lady told me to leave the premises. Never had this before anywhere else. The older lady was somewhat friendly though but would not recommend staying here.

You're not allowed to open any windows or doors because of her cats. This is a huge problem when it's 38 degrees. Lady is generally disagreeable. And no kitchen access

Very nice and clean hostel.Absolutely amazing host Dada, very caring and helpful, especially in difficult situations. It is a family business and all the family gives to the hostel a very Bosnian human touch. Also the Hercegovina tour by the daughter of Dada very recommendable.

Dada is a super and top woman with heart and all for you she will found solution. I have one of the 10 nicest day in mostar and nice talk with her. You can make with her your very nice routes. 🤗😊😉🏞🤝🙏

For this price - it's great deal. Can't complain about anything. I had a great stay in this hostel but at the same time I understand why others were not very happy there.

The price is unbeatable at $7. That’s something to be grateful for, and I think too many people are overlooking that fact. The hostel is in a perfect location. I had a good group when I stayed, and we would make jokes with the owner. I can understand how some people say the owner isn’t overwhelmingly friendly, but I liked her personally. She’s not there to serve you—she’s doing a favor by providing the service at the price. Treat others with respect, you’ll get the same thing back. She’s even rumored to have jumped off the Mostar Bridge back in the day… 10/10, most likely to stay in this hostel again and I’ve stayed in a lot of hostels.

Did not feel like a hostel but like a real oldschool home. The very cute host made breakfast herself every morning, offered us the double room with a perfect balcony and looked for all our needs. So grounded, so simple, so good. I would always only come back to Dada Hostel if I'd need a stay in Mostar.

Hostel owners attitude isTERRIBLE they will open AC when they want and will close it early morning if you wanna sleep longer not possible in summer. Beds very old wood if some body walks in to room you will shake and it’s annoying. Don’t stay there. Pay 3 euro more and have a private room in Hostel Enardi. And thanks me later.

I've arrived there last evening 7pm, and older lady told me she is fully booked even we had booking. Her excuse was that booking is making her a problems for last 4 days. I asked her if she knows that why she didn't give us a call and informed us earlier as its really unprofessional on what she became really rude telling me: "you won't teach me how to do my job", on what my answer was: I've traveled 50 from 196 countries in world and never had this experience". After that she started even mentioning war, as i am from Bosnia and insulting us after what we left. I cannot say anything about staying there as i didn't have an opportunity but find some friendlier host. I've been all around the world and hostels have a common area where people gather, has really friendly staff while here they expect you to be Grateful that they offer you bed, instead of them being grateful of having customer. Add few euros and get better place.

Stayed one night in the hostel, when outside température reachede 37° degrees at day. Welcoming mother and daughter, A/C is present and was running fine. Free Wi-Fi is fully fonctionnal. The breakfast in the morning (free) is unique if you look at all other hostels. Thanks for the welcoming, and appreciated my 1st experience in a family hostel

Indeed, the hostel is cheap,clean and breakfast is included. However, I will not recommand this hostel to anyone because the owner who is a middle age lady and her mom who also works there were extremely rude and mean. After I spent 11 hours on the bus from Belgrade to Mostar, I was very exhausted and wanted to have a rest. The room was very hot. When I asked the owner if she could turn on the AC, she refused and told me to go outside. After I washed some clothes while I was taking shower and put them on the strings in the yard. She and her mom yelled at me and asked me to leave. She told me that there is no place for guests to dry their clothes. Yesterday was 40 degrees. I asked the owner's mom if she could turn on the AC. She turned it on and cursed me (another guest told me this). Moreover, the owner was impatient and her answer had nothing to do with my question when I asked her if she may know any local ATM which doesn't charge extra fee for VISA card. In addition, she forced me to leave my passport with her when I went to wtihdraw cash for her. This never happened to me before. The location was not as good as other people say. You have to climb a high hill to get to the hostel. Wifi was not very stable. Anyway, I didn't expect a lot for the price. The biggest problem was that the host and her mom were disrespectful and hostile. I booked 4 nights, but I left early. You can find other much nicer hostels in Mostal with paying a little bit more.
