This nature preserve nearby Sarajevo is a perfect little weekend getaway for people visiting Sarajevo, but also for the residents. The nature is beautiful and almost intact giving you the opportunity to reconnect with the nature. Walking down the path you will find a lake, several caves (not accessible) and a necropolis with ancient tombstones. At the end there is three caves. The Donja cave is not accessible. Srednja cave is the one you need to visit. It fairly large, it has beautiful cave art and a guide will be provided. Have in mind that entering the cave is only at certain times with the guide only. The upper Gornja cave is the one you should visit because after a short but steep climb you would be rewarded with a beautiful view of the surrounding forests. Definitely a place worth visiting.

Very professional guides will take you through the amazing middle cave, with 500 meters inside. Make sure to bring some warm clothes as the inside temperature is 4-5'C throughout the year. If you did not bring any, you can buy or rent some cheap at the train stop. Also climb the stairs to visit the upper cave, it has a wonderful view!

First it is nice place to relax But to reach the caves it was not easy, you must walk for more than 2 km and it was not easy for normal people ( you must be strong man to claim) The transportation in the park is always unavailable. And they close at 5pm.

I had a great time with my familly here. I mean, dont expect nothing fancy, but its ideal for walking through the forest and spending time with family. The activities you can do here: - There are couple of short hiking paths you can take. Nothing too much, but enough to keep your family busy. - There is a place with tombs - You have a restaurant where you can eat and drink (right there is a small playground for the kids) - And obviously there is a cave to visit (which I strongly recommend) Restaurant food was suprisingly good. Waiters were extremly polite ans helpfull. Ona bad thing about it, was huge amount of wasp flying around, esspecially if you order icecream or something else sweet. Cave experience was great as well.

A beautiful cave in the middle of pine forest. The place is nice and big. It's usually cold inside (the temperature is around 5 to 2 degrees Celsius). A very nice place to visit if you love being in the nature.

If you are looking for a nice fieldtrip in nature, this is the place to go! Well maintained, clean, and with a lot of interesting things to do. There is a beautiful, calm path through the woods, several amazing caves, basketball and football courts, etc. It was our first time there, and we will surely be going back often!

Beautiful surroundings and very nice caves to be seen. You'll park the car some 2 km from the main sight/event, but walking there is a true calming and beautiful experience. The nature is simply stunning. On your way to the caves you'll see stecci (moved from the surrounding area) which in itself makes it a great experience. Though there is transportation every 30 minutes, the above makes walking a much nicer experience. The guide to the caves is well knowlegdeable, just don't be late to walk back with the group. By far, the best experience in Bosnia.

Nature reserve with little hiking and caves. Caves must see. Very cold inside around 5 degree, outside can be 22 degree. Has little food area, nice and clean area. Enjoy the nature and fresh air.

A must-visit natural preserve on the way Sarajevo-Olovo. Very well maintained and clean, breathtaking nature and the caves. The staff is friendly and welcoming-a special thank you to the train driver who shared a lot of interesting facts about the place and went out of his way to show us the hidden spots in the park, including an amazing lake.

Waw that was unexpected. The way till you reach to the cave is a story alone. From the parking area you will walk for around 3 km through the forest. Then you will reach a place where you there is to ways the left one is the main cave and they are opening it only every 1 hours or some thing like that ( you have to ask). And the right way will take you to another wide open cave with toooo much of stairs ( I don’t advise it for old people and those who have leg pain) however that place is big opened cave that is not deep (may be only 10-20 meters, but it have a nice view as it is in the top. While the other big cave in the left side is nice and it will cost you 3 KM it worth actually. These pictures are for the small cave

Absolutely worth visiting in any time of the year. Really amazing nature ; fresh air and great trails for long walks / hikes and for bike rides. Explore nature along the trails but also a bit around because it’s really something special. Recommendation.
