One of the best free walking tours I have been to. Sevko is ready to answer all sorts of questions. The tour is not limited to the old town - significant part of it is dedicated to the siege of Mostar 1992-1994 - you can hear first hand story of the tragic events, you can still see bullet holes on the buildings' walls and to walk along where the front line was. The whole narrative is supported with photos and maps and the tour guide gives really deep context of what has happened and how it still affects people there.

Really insightful walking tour of Mostar. The guide, Sheva, is a Mostar local and has extensive knowledge about the history of the town and of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He will guide you through town and show you the best local shops and restaurants while keeping you in the shade on hot days! I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mostar.

I've been to many walking tours, usually I try to do one every city I visit. This one with Sheva has been the best one yet. Mostar is a beautiful city, but what makes this tour so special is the guide, who presents the city's and country's difficult history in an extremely informative way, drawing on personal anecdotes and experiences. I can wholeheartedly recommend the tour to anyone.

Great walking tour. Definitely recommend! See the highlights of Mostar and learn more about the history and the current state of the city and its citizens. Sheva talks and explains with passion and shares great and emotional first hand and second hand experiences. He tries to explain the rather complex history and gave me new insights into the whole situation in Bosnia Herzegovina and Mostar.

The walking tour with Sheva in Mostar was the most memorable part of my five-week trip to Europe and the best walking tour I’ve ever gone on. In fact, it was so much more than a tour — it was an experience. In addition to showing us through the town, he shared the complexities of its history with so much candor, passion, and empathy. If you are in the region, this tour is a must!

The best tour I ever had. You will be able to learn about the history of the country and its politics through the testimony of a passionate and very interesting guide. if there is one thing to do in Mostar this is it. Every time I meet someone who has traveled to Bosnia, the guide sheva is quoted and that means something!!! Thanks a lot for this great time

Sheva’s a tip-top fellow with tip-top tales. As a Mostar native he really knows his stuff and is happy to share. The tour gets heavy in parts as the history is hard going and emotions still run, complexity of war and many points of view. He’s open and honest and gives a very human perspective. You won’t regret joining him.

This was the best, most informative walking tour I’ve ever taken. Sheva is extremely thorough about explaining the entire history of the region in chronological order, starting in ancient history. The length of the tour is complete dependent on how many questions tour members ask, you’re not limited to a certain amount of hours, and I’m so grateful for this because the history of Mostar in particular is quite complex, and sheva was very patient with all my questions. So so grateful for this experience. You cannot leave Mostar without taking his tour

Highly recommended - booking not required, just turn up (as of Sep 2022 - suggest you check website to confirm). Really interesting and relaxed walking tour with a friendly, insightful and informative guide! From history of the old bridge to the war to the current situation in BiH - I felt like Sheva packed a lot into the 2.5-3hrs. 5 star rating with this many reviews speaks for the quality of the tour.

Sheva provided a very entertaining, insightful and personalised tour of Mostar. He is incredibly knowledgeable and shared many facts, perspectives and personal stories about what it was like during the war as well as gave insight into what Mostar is like for locals today. One of the best tours I have ever been on and highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting and/or wants to know about the town. I look forward to returning again someday (hopefully in the not so distant future)

Incredible 2-2.5 hour walking tour of the UNESCO site Old Town of Mostar and the city that surrounds it. Sheva is descriptive and articulate and knows just about everything and everyone in the town. The tour starts off with enjoyable history of the Old Town before delving into the pros and cons of life in socialist Yugoslavia and war history on both macro and micro scales. Having lived during both Yugoslavia and the war himself, Sheva provides an incredibly valuable perspective. I honestly can't believe this tour is free - an absolute must-do while in Mostar.

An absolute must if you are visiting Mostar and want a deeper understanding of the ancient and recent history of the city and Bosnia & Herzegovina as a whole. Sheva was a fantastic and informative guide, sharing his wealth of knowledge as a local who has lived through the darkest times in Mostar. I was moved by the fact that he didn't sugarcoat the horrors that wartime brought, nor the state of the country today. It gives you a true glimpse into the reality of the past and present, and as a result I left with a richer appreciation for Mostar and the people who call it home.

Free walking tour with Sheva turned out to be quite an extraordinary experience, one we will surely remember for a long time. He is an amazing storyteller with many interesting facts and anecdotes about Mostar, its history, culture and people. The tour lasted for 3 hours but we could have listened to him for days, this is how captivating his stories are. We’ve done quite a few walking tours in other towns but this one was definitely the best. Truly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The best decision I made while in Mostar. Sheva was an amazing guide, full of knowledge about the history not just of Mostar but the whole region. Intresting, friendly, open. He guides you through the streets of Mostar, carefully taking you in the hard times but with the spark that things will get better. I ended ful of emotions wishing I come back again. And if I do, I'll join his tour again.

Sheva is passionate, informative, and engaging. He gives an amazing tour discussing history and culture as well as the war and life since the war stopped. I highly recommend a tour with Sheva if you would like to know about life in Mostar and especially if you would like a better understanding of the war and the after effects.

Outstanding tour and guide. I was impressed by his knowledge and character. He was asked some challenging questions about a certain world view that he clearly stated he doesn’t adhere to but nonetheless he tried to represent that world view with honesty and integrity. He gave unique and candid insights into Mostar the city, it’s history and people that you probably won’t get from anywhere else.

I highly recommend the tour. It is a must while visiting the city to understand the history and the current times of Bosnia and Hercegovina. I was absolutely impressed by the knowledge of the tour guide and the way he passed on us all the information. He gave us first hand image of Bosnia and Hercegovina under war.

This was the best walking tour I’ve ever been a part of. Our guide was very knowledgeable and open with information about the history of the area. We got to meet locals and learn about traditions. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone that wants to learn about Mostar as a town as well as the war.

The 2.5 hour walking tour that Arnela gave us was filled with interesting nuggets of information not just about Mostar, but also the painful yet hopeful story of B&H. She led us on an inspiring walk through an extremely beautiful city.

Sheva is perhaps one of the best tour guides I've ever had. Passionate about teaching you the real life of Mostar people, war history, politics and geography. I truly enjoyed the tour with him. And get ready cause it can easily stretch to 3 hours, but worth it!

Thank you for an amazing tour Sheva! He kept the group out of the sun which meant we could give our full attention to his information and stories. Mostar has a very complex history so I would advise anyone wanting to join the tour do some research to get the most from the tour. Sheva did a great job outlining key points, but it helped that we had a bit of background knowledge. He lived through and fought in the war and gave us some first hand accounts of what it was like to live in Mostar during that time. I will definitely recommend to anyone coming to Mostar!

25 countries, many cities and it’s one of the best walking tour that we have been. And a very nice free ice cream surprise for my 10 years old 😊
