We took a tour with Ivan and were quite disappointed. He takes you to nice spots of Mostar and the before-after war pictures he shows are interesting. But other than printing out those pictures he put zero effort into preparing for the tour. Historical details and funfacts are both missing - he did not talk about everyday life in a multicultural country either. Anyone sitting down and reading about the city and country for like 3 days could have done a better job than him. I highly recommend for him to visit free tours in other countries or even in Sarajevo (that is a great one!) to get a picture of how it should be done.

Ivan is a great guide, he walked us through the history of the city, provided many images of the changing cityscape through its turbulent history and gave us some brilliant recommendations. We would highly recommend booking the tour with him. Thanks for everything.

Unfortunately I felt rather let down by this walking tour, I don’t doubt Ivan is capable of giving a great tour! I didn’t learn anything new from what I have read online about Mostar and BiH history, and not many stories were told about life in Mostar as a local which I was looking forward to. I understand not everyone wants to share their private life but an overall broad explanation at the minimum would have been great for our learning. I personally didn’t feel this tour was worthwhile, and some improvements could be made— I am comparing it to other walking tours I have gone on which were oustanding (such as in Sarajevo).However of course I thank Ivan for the time that was given us.

I can only recommend to book this tour with Ivan! We had a multicultural group getting a lot of informative and touching insights in this history stricken multicultural country. The tour starts a bit outside the citly hustle and bustle - a good way to start with the basics. Would immediately go on this tour again!

Great tour and great tour guide. Ivan shared the interesting history and culture of Mostar and Herzegovina as well as some of his personal and family stories. This made the recent history of the region (pre- and post-war) more accessible and easier to understand. Highly recommended!

We read about the tour in a blog, sent him a last minute whatsapp message (it’s best to contact him directly otherwise he has to pay commissions to the agency) and two seconds later he had already confirmed the tour. Joining his tour was by far the best decision, we learnt so much about Mostar, its complex, dramatic history and much more. Ivan is a very smart, open-minded and outgoing person and, compared to the otherwise very touristic Mostar, this felt like an insider tip.
