I mean I suppose the coffee should be good here but I order bubble tea, and it was not as good as I expected. But the vibe here is nice. Very good to chill and have plenty of seats. And this cafe is located in the middle of downtown.

Great experience at Jaho. There's no prices on the menu, so you know it's going to be a little pricey. It's still worth checking out. Came out here for breakfast and tried the Smoked Salmon Bagel (removed the tomatoes & lettuce) and a French Toast Latte. Loved the coffee container, it's affordable and picture worthy! The Smoked Salmon Bagel was decent, way more cream cheese than desired and had to scrape some off. The latte was delicious!

Jaho has great coffee and tasty drinks. In the area, it has to be one of the best coffee places. The menu is incredibly diverse and its worth coming back multiple times to try different things on it. My personal favorites Vanilla Latte Iced Mocha Salmon Breakfast Sandwich Spanish Latte

The blonde staff member is extremely rude. She will constantly complain about little things, harrassing the customers, and patronizing the patrons. From the moment she walks in, she has a problem with people and it creates a really annoying atmosphere.

If you like christian music and your hot coffee served cold in the morning, Jaho is your place. Also, as you can tell by the reply to this review, the owner is rude and the service is terrible. Apparently they expect others to enjoy their awful religious rock lol. I live right across the street and unfortunately this is the nearest coffee shop. I have to walk a bit further to get a decent coffee with good service. Do yourself a favor a skip Jaho. Spend your money at some of the lovely local cafes nearby.

Very good red velvet cake and spanish latte. I thought they would be very sweet but they turned out to be just the right amount of sweetness for which I am impressed. The chia seeds pudding was also a nice snack.

A neat little joint with plenty of seating options. They have a kiosk stand you can order the drink yourself or you can order at the counter. They have seating facing the street or seating further back. There are high top and low seating as well. My daughter and I ordered their seasonal specialty drinks and they were delicious! The only downside was, one of their seating chairs was pretty ripped and stuffing inside shown. I wouldn't have wanted to sit there. But there was plenty of other options to sit at. They also have a bathroom for customers and it was clean.

I walked in somewhere around 1pm on a day where college students nearby were moving into campus for the semester. Due to this, there were many people sitting down to use the WiFi, and multiple groups going in and out for drinks. During all of this, there seemed to be only one person behind the counter, both ringing orders and creating the drinks. Even with a bit of a line, she remained very calm and kind, fulfilled orders in a timely manner, and communicated very clearly with everyone! I wish I caught her name, she obviously works very hard and deserves recognition. <3 The boba tea is delicious! I also grabbed the smoked salmon bagel sandwich, which was both tasty and very filling~ Highly recommended for this during-COVID experience alone, I imagine they have even more to offer in normal circumstances!

My husband and I loved this little coffee shop. We went every morning while we were in town. They have a large selection of different brews and flavors, delicious cocktails, and great breakfast and lunch options.

There was a bit of a wait when I was here, but it was worth it! They were busy, and the staff was super kind. The menu is pretty extensive. I don't even remember what I got, but it was good, haha! My partner got something with Bailey's in it, which was also good. While we were waiting, I looked around the store, and everything looked great, and I loved their decor, specifically their wine descriptions! I am going to find a poster like this for my house. 😂

Visited for a flat white but was disappointed; the milk seemed over-steamed, even burned. However, their BLT turkey sandwich redeemed the experience. Clearly, there are hits and misses here. Hoping the coffee game improves on the next visit. The sandwich is worth a try.

One of the best spots out here for coffee! It's a vibe just walking in. Highly recommend coming in for a nice warm cup of cocoa or a latte. They have everything you need. The workers are even better. I forget the names of them but there were two women working as baristas and they knew what they were doing. They were also extremely friendly and kind. Thank you for a great experience!!

Beautiful hangout spot with very creative and drinks. The food was okay. Something to munch on while you're drinking, but not something I would come back just to eat. Ambience is chill with your friends, calm, and relaxing type vibes. Decor is gorgeous! The service was also amazing. Everyone is attentive and knowledgeable. Some of the drinks are better than others. The Vietnamese coffee martini was delish, but everything else was a little on th sweet spot. Pricing is a little high here, but we didn't have anywhere else to go hang out at such a late hour.

Excellent coffee shop that also has nice selection of beers on tap and extensive list of wines. Come here to spend time on comfortable couches and armchairs. There's also a slow-brew coffee area that looks like an alchemist's lab (need to wait for that one for 10-15 min.), but it's only good if toy are not in rush and just want to chill while sipping on your beverage. Plenty of space to work on your laptop (good WiFi signal) or read a book. They've also got comfy summer deck for slow sipping of wine-coffee-beer and to have a healthy snack. It's like a trendy bar that's also a comfy coffee shop.

It is a cool place in itself. Nice interior and ambiance. I just had an espresso martini and it was awesome! They suggested adding Bailey's too. It came out very well balanced and generously fortified 👍 Efficient service and very friendly staff . Will definitely come again to try some coffee and food this time

Jaho, a combination of a coffee shop and wine bar, is on the back side of the Chinatown public library. It's a nice spot to go and get some work done, as they have a lot of seating inside with good wifi and lots of outlets to plug in. The staff is friendly and they make everything to order. They also make boozy beverages too, and you can order them to go. Why not have a mimosa after a rough night?

Great atmosphere Great food And an excellent diverse drink menu. I didn't give you a complete start for two key reasons, one, your staff members lack empathy and honest friendliness service, and two, your baristas don't know the recipes for basic international coffee orders. Please, serve your food in plates not paper wraps that’s not to the standards of this location.

Great morning spot. I was a little disappointed they weren't doing pourovers the morning I stopped in, but I'm not sure if the other slow bar options were available (forgot to ask). The coffee was still good, and the breakfast sandwich was really good. I've been back here, and the pourovers were totally taken off the menu, which is a little disappointing. I still love the breakfast sandwhiches and the way they grill the cut edges of the bagel. A nice touch.

One of a kind artisan cafe that serves all types of modern beverages that we all will love to get indulged in.. coffee, tea, wine, smoothies, or any seasonal specialty. Great place to sit, chat, work, or relax. Good service. We tried spring special cold latte and it was yummy! Plenty of choices..

Place is awesome. The drinks are exceptional, the food is pretty good - especially the bagels and lox. Haven't had any alcohol from them, only their coffees and boba/milk teas, all of which have been great. Great place to do laptop work.

I’ve been an almond milk latte and smoked salmon bagel fiend as of late, like anyone would do with a corporate card. Jaho has been my go-to spot for the latte that has the most subtle bit of sweetness and bagel with salmon that kinda makes me feel healthy. A couple of women are there every morning that serve me and the other customers with positivity and they always bring a good start to my day

Lovely space, super cozy with lots of seating. A good place to sit and do computer work or just relax. My latte was very good and came in the cutest cup :) would've given 5 stars if they had their prices on the menu, it felt really awkward to ask but I'm glad I did because their cocktails are kind of expensive.

Creative drink menus with nice and spacious area for work and study. Saw the sign in front saying that they have the best Irish coffee in town, and I was drawn to try it out. This was my first time trying Irish coffee and I was thrilled to finally get a taste of the Boston’s iconic cocktail drink. However, despite being a cocktail, everything wasn’t mixed properly. Although I tried to shake it with a straw, the coffee portion ended up staying at the bottom, and the whipped cream on top didn’t do much for the flavor. Nevertheless, this place seemed like a solid spot for coffee and tea, and I would probably return to try their other regular drink menus.

It's a little strange the new Covid laws that you have to order food with your drinks but the martini I had was fabulous.

  • 1/5 Sarah K. 2 years ago on Google
I was given the wrong drink, and when I asked the barista to remake the drink I had ordered, she was incredibly unpleasant and refused to make the correct drink because she “had been working since 3 and had 40 more drinks in her queue.” This was very disappointing not only because the drinks were about 15 dollars each but also because she insulted me and my boyfriend. We looked through reviews for this Jaho and it seems like rude service is not at all uncommon. I will not be returning even though I live in the building next door.

Jaho is one of a few coffee shops around this area where you can work/study/absorb good vibes, and it’s quickly becoming my favorite. Early in the morning, I love their breakfast sandwiches, especially on a bagel. They have an endless selection of coffee drinks, but personally I’ve found the Vietnamese iced coffee to be a sleeper hit. For study/work, I’d come here earlier in the day because the seating does get occupied quickly!

For years this place continues to be my favorite coffee shop in the city. Excellent selection of drinks including coffee, tea, & bubble tea. The food options are also great. The chocolate peanut butter cake is one of my favorites. My go to spot when I need to get some work done or catch up with friends. Prompt service & friendly staff. Highly recommended! 🥇

Godly turkey sandwich… soooo good and so big Matcha latte was also really nice It is a good spot to study with free wifi and many outlets to charge your electronics. Great location in downtown Boston as well I have nothing to complain about this place. Hands down my favorite cafe in Boston at the moment

Came here before a comedy show to bridge the gap between a chinatown feast and showtime. My darjeeling tea was just fine, but my fiance couldn't stop raving about her coconut boba tea cocktail she ordered. It was a very cool atmosphere with great seating. On the way out I picked up a choccolate chunk cookie up at the register to eat as I walked down the street and damn was it a good choccolate chunk cookie. This is a great place to stop in if you're waiting for a show to start or you're waiting for anything really. Highly reccomended chinatown spot.

On my drive back to NY, I ordered an iced spanish latte with oat milk and a shot of caramel and omg, it was so so good! Perfect coffee to milk ratio! I usually take so long to finish my coffee so I thought I’d be drinking it my whole drive home, but I inhaled it. I would definitely recommend this place; they have something from everyone! 1000% better than Starbucks and Dunkin’s!

Jaho used to be my favorite place. But their Covid response has been sub-optimal. Tables too close together, too many people inside, masks were not enforced. I do not dare to go there again for a while.

Enjoyed the espresso martini and the mulled wine. The croissant was meh but to be fair it was around 8 pm, they're probably better fresh. There were too many people in there for my comfort, working and chilling maskless, so we enjoyed our food and drinks at the outdoor patio.

I came to the Jaho at Chinatown for a quick coffee and a sandwich. The cashier today was rude and rolled her eyes when I said I needed a minute to look at the menu. The available seating was way too close together and the "strict" rule of wearing a mask unless eating was clearly not enforced.

  • 5/5 Marty R. 3 years ago on Google
When we walked in here, it was packed. People were doing work and sipping on tea every which way. We just went in for a quick dessert, but what we had was amazing! 1) Chocolate chip cookie! I heard about this on Chocolate Chip Boston's Instagram and it was lovely! Huge chocolate chunks, warm dark chocolate. It was incredible. It's kind of on a secret menu behind the counter, so you have to ask for it. 2) Sipping chocolate. This is like an 8 oz cup of thick dark chocolate (that's what she said). It was difficult to finish, but worth every sip.

Classy, modern, aroma, all of the equipment that you’d wish for to flatter your taste buds. Forget about your caffeine quota, even if you make it there on 9:30 PM I’d still get a quad shot, you are not a big fan? No, get your self a latte, no ? Get your self a Spanish latte, or any other latte because they sure can make it for you. My to go to: Boston cream pie, and espresso

They're open again! Thank God! One of my favorite hangouts in Boston for coffee / wine / beer. Great vibe as always and interesting combo of drinks. Multiple seating options inside (tables, bar, couches) and also small outdoor seating area.

They’ve got good bubble tea here, you probably wouldn’t think to come here for that but it’s worth a try if you like it. The staff are also really nice and accommodating. Atmosphere during covid is still good because it’s spacious in there with high ceilings!

Jaho is clearly a really fun and entertaining spot when there isn't a pandemic. They had creative coffee-based cocktails that I would have loved to try if I didn't visit at 9am. The reason that I am giving them 3 stars is because I thought their iced coffee was a bit sour and the latte we ordered was not too hot. However, their honey cake was really good so the bakery gets a thumbs up.

Nice ambience. Not too shabby but very pricy for what it's worth. One of the more pricier cafes I've ever been to and I've been to a few. My tapioca came out to $7.20 something. I think it's made with coconut milk which is nice but yeah 7 for a tap is heresy. The location is at the corner of Phở Pasteur in Chinatown.

This coffee shop also sells their special coffee for us to enjoy. I bought their best-selling Signature and it was the best! I always have their coffee before heading to work. It was very tasteful. Try their coffee now, and you won't be disappointed! Highly recommended!!
