In short: best seafood I've ever had - fresh, tasty with some generous portions. Never before I had oysters but decided to give them a go and wow I'm converted. The place also has an arcade, pool, bowling downstairs which was great fun when we discovered it.

Some great seafood here. Took my mother here who lives out of state and missed the seafood. She loved the lobster and the way they cut it. My girlfriend really liked the oysters and we were able to choose different ones from different locations. The drinks were good. I would recommend the chocolate and Expresso martinis. The peach drink didn't have much peach flavor in it Had one I didn't like and they had no problems making something new and took the other one off the bill. Our server was great and knew the menu well. Overall really good place.

Today was my first time and I loved summer shack!!. Service was amazing and fast too. Our waiter was really really friendly and cool. The food is amazing. The lobster roll was delicious and the for the fish and chips, the fish was crispy and juicy. My favorite was the crab cakes. It was amazing!! There was also music playing in the background. It is kid friendly too. Definitely one of the best places I’ve been to. I’m definitely coming back. I highly recommend you will not be disappointed.

Just passing through Boston during a four hour layover a desperately wanted local cuisine. I'm glad my internet search landed on Summer Shack. Frankly I wanted to eat TWO lobster rolls because they were so tasty, but I settled on two Lobster Trap Cocktails instead (I wasn't driving. Stay safe, people.) My server was Marisol and she made me feel quite welcomed. I'll be back when my travels take me to Boston again.

My friends and I enjoyed our food here to the max. My friends came from Lowell to Boston for a visit and we wanted to be somewhere that has good food and drink and cozy seating. This bar restaurant checked them all. Our server Pablo was extremely helpful and even allowed me to order something from kid menu (Mac and Cheese) and also let me taste two of the drinks before ordering. He was very cooperative and polite. Will come back again and highly suggest this place for enjoyable friends and family gathering.

The oysters here were SO amazing, so fresh, I got 2 rounds of each type they had and then 3 more of a few I really liked. 3.25/per oyster - not bad considering the quality. I also ordered their roasted potatoes which were on point - not too soggy, not too crispy, the perfect amount of salt and seasoning and not dry at all. Also, as BUSY as it was (went on boston marathon day), our waiter was SO attentive: he refilled our waters, took additional orders when we needed, etc., , basically made sure we were taken care of and was very kind. If you’re looking for a dim-lit, live music with a full service bar, and lively, rowdy vibe, look no further.

We went for brunch on a Saturday. They open at 11:30 and there were very few people there the first hour. They had live music - an amazing singer who did his own versions of popular songs. We had a wedge salad that was beautifully plated and delicious ($12 - you could tell the dressing was homemade), fried red fish that came with black beans and rice, kale chips, guacamole and salsa ($26), and the lobster hash ($26), and a classic Bloody Mary ($14). Everything was delicious and portions were generous. Our server, Yaritza, was very attentive. We had a great experience and look forward to returning one day. Ps there’s an awesome bowling alley/arcade downstairs!

Superb food and service. I've had the fish and chips, raw oysters, clam chowder, ice cream, and they are all great. Nice ambience and comfortable seating.

We came to Boston from Florida for a 3 day getaway and my sister picked this place to celebrate her birthday. It was AMAZING! We couldn’t have selected a better place for food, atmosphere and exceptional service!! Antonio rocked it!!! From the best clam chowder, fresh oysters to spaghetti with steamed clams! Just the best!! You must put this on your go to place to eat in Boston!!

Had one of the new Tin Fish selections (Spanish in olive oil) and oh my, that was very tasty! Would definitely get again and have been telling people about it. Wish the staff had been more knowledgeable about what it contained but I understand it was still pretty new to the menu

The Drag brunch was great time as always. Our server Vinicius was very nice and attentive. Wonderful customer service. The restaurant is generally closed to the public for special events. Many event goers did not agree with gratuity 18% on top of bill and event tickets prices and fees. The Praline French would have been amazing if it cooked very well done as a requested. It was super soggy. The home fries were good. Nice flavor profile. But, they cold. Food temperatures need improvement. Needs more vegan and vegetarians options. Maybe some Impossible or Beyond the meat options.Especially during events days/night. Loved the Margarita flights. Yummy!

Food was delicious and atmosphere is cool with a calm ambience. But the service just sucks. However I think it’s just the server we had. He didn’t seem like he understood English well. We ordered stuff clear as day but when it came out it was wrong. It was like he didn’t hear us or understand us. I clearly asked for truffle fries and even pointed to it on menu. But he brought my regular fries. Same with my wife’s order. She ordered a burger with onions and clearly asked him for onions. No onions came out. Then they brought us pickled onions. If you have choices then tell us. Maybe I’ll come again and pick another waiter if I get that same guy again. On a side note the whiskey pour was generous. So that’s a plus.

Went there with friends, everyone's drinks were great. We ordered most of the appetizers off the menu, it was my friends first time there. All the food looked as good as it taste. It was great trying new things, will go back for more food like lobsters and crabs.

Love the atmosphere. Clean, casual sports bar feel. With good food. This wasn’t luxury fine dining. The oysters and lobster were high quality. Chowder was tasty but a little runny for my taste. The warm lobster roll and chips were good but lacking seasoning. A little bland for me. It was good. I would come back for sure.

After walking in it instantly was a cool atmosphere. They have a lot of vibrant wall art and there’s even a spot to look at live lobsters. We ordered the clam chowder, crab potstickers and the fish and chips. All were good. I personally am not a lover of fish (not from Boston) but my wife loved the fish and chips. I could tell the fish was very fresh. The fries were delicious. Overall a positive experience for a fair price

I’m a huge fan! Had a very late dinner there and the food was delicious, and oysters were clean and properly shucked! The staff were really nice and attentive

Butter lobster roll is the best. The cold lobster roll has a great smell of seafood. However, if you are not too into seafood, the cold roll may not be your best option. 🥦 is a perfect combination for lobster. The oyster evaluation: Dennis 10/10 Tiny but has everything you expect from a oyster. Sweet and smooth in your tongue. For the rest oyster evaluation plz check picture 3.

THE HOST (Maybe Manager??) OF THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE, DETESTABLE, MEAN, HARSH, RUDE, OFFENSIVE, REPELLENT. Nope, this was NOT my FIRST impression. This has been my FIFTH impression. I wonder how this restaurant has this man greeting people... I WISH I COULD GIVE A 0 STAR REVIEW... Every time has been the same. Same rudeness, harsh, mean behavior. He doesn't know how to use his mouth kindly. He opens his mouth and it's like opening a can of rotten garbage. Everything else about this restaurant is meaningless as long as THAT man works there. Nothing else could be worse... Food is not great at all. This is at best a mediocre restaurant that is close to my job.., reason I've been there so many times, because the boss pays. Otherwise, I wouldn't spend a penny if I had to pay. Not worth it.

Very casual spot for fresh seafood. Lots of seats and reasonable prices make it a good choice for a big group.

What an amazing meal. Don't let the name fool you, this place is top drawer. Excellent seafood, excellent bartender who made us strong drinks. I highly recommend this great place.

In my top 5 favorite seafood restaurants!!! Loved everything from the cool decor to the fresh mouthwatering food. The cornbread with melted molasses butter was delicious and the fried shrimp was very light and flavorful. I can't wait to go back, and this time bring other family members and friends to try it.
