An absolute incredible experience. The food was incredible but what was more amazing was the staff and their attention to detail. They made sure everything we needed and wanted was taken care of. They also were knowledgeable enough to give us advice on wine pairings for out meal. Amazing. Will definitely go again!

The location is convenient to the Back Bay. The menu is pretty good selection. The popovers were burnt. The scallops were okay, but no risortto or peapods. The rice had no flavor. The salad was bland. The desserts were simple and dull. There was no gluten-free dessert option other than berries. Their version of bailey's had gluten. I would pick another place to go eat. The cost is not cheap.

It was great time in Davio's! Meatball as beginning was a great choice and steak with wine was also awesome. Every server was really kind and professional :) One thing made me sad was the shrimp in pasta which was not seasoned but just steamed, so I felt it's not harmonized. Also the sour flavor of fettuccine gets stronger as the dish get cooler which was not my favorite.

Came for a weekday lunch. Service was quick, almost too quick! We had the egg roll sampler as an appetizer - I wouldn’t get this again. Not my style, I’d prefer a traditional eggroll over anything! But could be a crowd favorite. I had the Asian chop salad for my lunch. It was perfect, nice and light. Tons of gluten free options here make me want to come again!

Great to be back here after 2 years. Food is wonderful as usual. Service is not at the level I remember - I’ll still be back though. Wonderful meal- great presentation. 11/15/21 More photos

I happened to visit this restaurant three times in three days while on business. All three times the food was consistently very good. The scallops were tender and cooked to perfection.

Last night was our first time here and we were on a time constraint. They took us right in for our reservation our waitress was wonderful we got our food fairly quick and it was all so delicious. I normally order my steak medium well but opted for medium here and it did not disappoint. So good. Didn't even need the sauce it came with.

Food was delicious. Waitstaff was amazing. Which makes me feel sad when I say that I can’t believe they didn’t have A BATHROOM. Was the alternative bathroom we were told to use at a different restaurant across the street? Yes, but 2 Boston intersections away, making the bathroom experience a 10 minute trip minus the time in the bathroom. I can’t imagine what disabled patrons did as we were informed after we were seated and had already ordered food. That is not ethical or legal according to Massachusetts law. Again, the waitstaff was great and attentive which made me extra sad when they were told to deliver the news about the lack of bathroom to confused patrons. I hope they get jobs somewhere else when the state shuts this restaurant down.

Good for a special day. A literally fine Italian resaurant focusing on steaks.(but I had a little hard time to spot steaks on the menu, it was lunchtime..) The tast was more than great. Stunning dessert, too with no regret. I would recommend this place if I were given any chance to my acquaintances.

My experience here was terrible. The kitchen closes at 10:30pm. We get there at 10 and they are already closing. We walk in and the hostess picks up the phone. We had to greet her and thats when she informed us we could only sit at the bar because the main dining area is closed. I immediately wanted to leave but my friends were like lets just eat. We go to the bar and I watched the bartender’s body language of disappointment. He then starts washing dishes, checked on other guests and cleared bottles before giving us drinks only menus. My friend says, “hey we want to eat dinner, wheres the dinner menu?”. The bartender rolls his eyes and grab the menus, drops them down and walks away. It was disgusting. I understand the kitchen closes at 10:30 and you look forward to leaving but we shouldn’t be treated like such an inconvenience especially when there are several other people comfy and dining. The bartender was so rude. I had to get his attention for drinks, parmesan, and the check. Then our food was just ok. The meatballs were good but the pasta was overcooked; too much garlic, and underwhelming. I won’t be back here and I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Im appalled.

Davio's has been on my bucket list since the 1990s. In my mind, it was one of those expensive places, but I took another look at the menu. There are different price points so many people can enjoy this place. The food was outstanding. Beautiful interiors, high ceilings, outstanding food, and graceful service. The lobster bisque, the 3 scoops of gelato, fluffy complimentary brioche bread, and the pasta with meat sauce were excellent. There something remarkable about the tap water. Very pure tasting. The ice tea was unlike anything I ever had in a restaurant. Lovely floral flavor. Best ice tea I have ever had at a restaurant. Service was good.

Walked in non busy time 2:45 pm restaurant was not busy, we requested table for 7 with harbour view. The restaurant was empty we were placed at a table with absolutely no view there was a 4 foot divider wall between our table and the harbour. Food was ok not in anyway impressive. Our waiter was good. The pix is our view.

Found this Restaurant on open-table for a late night Dinner after arriving in Boston from Lis Angeles . It was past 9 P M and we were really hungry and looking forward to eating in Boston during our short visit. All the Pasta s are made in house fresh and it was s really nice place to celebrate my wife s Birthday . The Pasts dishes we ordered were delish as was the Salad and Dessert. Would definitely recommend this Restaurant.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely date night. The wait staff and management were very professional about my dairy allergy. I had a warm spinach salad, the veal tenderloin, and mango and raspberry sorbet. Definitely recommend to anyone, even those with food allergies.

Try their very own Davinos pino. I had the dry aged ribeye....amazing! Great atmosphere and nice place. It's worth the money. Dean told us to put a meatball in the pop up bread.....amazing tip! Prepare to take food home!

We went to Davio’s for a 50th birthday dinner. The restaurant has an elegant atmosphere without being pretentious. The staff was attentive & patient with our group of 10. A bunch of the ladies are vegetarians & were skeptical of vegetarian choices at a restaurant famous for steak but were pleasantly surprised with a nice selection of mains & sides. Our cocktails were wonderful & the freshly baked popovers were to die for. We ordered lots of dishes & except for a couple of vegetarian options & Fusilli, Shrimp, Hot Cherry Peppers, Vermentino, Lemon, Olive Oil. The shrimp was over cooked & the pasta too sour. The best dishes were the Atlantic Salmon, Farro, Mushrooms, Spinach, Jumbo Crab, Roasted Eggplant, Farro, Spinach, San Marzano Tomatoes, Shaved Brussels Sprouts, Guanciale, Chicken Parm Spring Rolls in Marinara & Parmigiano Fries, Truffle Aioli & Goat Cheese Puffs. Loved the tiramisu & the Seasonal Fruit, Berries, Citrus Broth, Mini Sweet Ricotta Cannoli. Davio’s is a great place for a special occasion.

I loved the service here. The wait staff is highly attentive and there's hardly any wait. I appreciate what the team put together in terms of presentation. I was a bit surprised by how little Gnocchi I got on a portion, and the taste was somewhat average. The presentation of dessert was a nice, and I'd go back for more. It's a great place to celebrate something, but I was a bit disappointed with the taste after hearing so many good reviews. I will go back and try other dishes to see if I might have chosen the wrong ones.

Tonight, I dined at Davio’s (Back Bay) in a unique way. In most restaurants, the kitchen is around some corner and down some hallway and, basically, out of sight. You rarely have the opportunity to see the hard work that goes into each plate or bowl… you just enjoy it. But, not tonight. I chose to sit at the “chef’s table” and it was a great experience. It was a pleasure watching the good people who feed us in their own element - working with incredible pace and intensity, but also joy and levity. It certainly gave me the opportunity to better enjoy my meal, and was a welcomed change from the TVs that now pepper restaurants and eateries. Not sure if every Davio’s is like this but, if you ever find yourself at Davio’s Back Bay, sit at the chef’s table.

I came here for dinner on a weeknight. It was still very crowded. There is a little bit of something for everyone. The oysters were good. I had the gnocchi with mushroom sand broccoli rabe. The mushrooms in the gnocchi felt slightly undercooked to me. While I tasted the truffles, I found that the butter sauce largely overpowered the truffle flavor. The quality of the broccoli rabe was very good but almost had too much sauce. The steaks looked very good. I would recommend this place for an occasion and probably try a more signature dish next time.

Quick heads up before, I’m not the type of person to eat at a fancy restaurant so that will impact this whole review. The place is really nice, well decorated and really fancy looking. The staff is splendid as well, always attentive and precise in our orders but the orders itself are just not worth it portion size. Expect to spend $27-$100+ in a small entree that looks nice but doesn’t fill that much. The deserts were tasteful and well structured. Overall 3/5 because of the amount of money you spend compared to the food you get. But anyways, the staff is 11/10!

Really nice service with great tasting food! Had the warm pastrami panini alongside some great appetizers from meatballs to and assortment of spring rolls and fried calamari. Servers were really nice and provided plenty of refills on water on occasion and set up our table well for a large party.

We picked this place off the map without knowing anything about it and wow am I glad we did! Seriously one of the most outstanding meals I've had in recent memory. The service was impeccable and friendly, and everything we ate was outstandingly delicious. My favorite surprise was that they started with popovers, which I absolutely love, and these were perfect specimens! Everything is so thoughtful. The restaurant even has a virgin cocktail and an extensive gluten-free menu. Highly recommend!

Davio's is a great high class restaurant! We got a private room and the service was phenomenal. The Philly cheese steak appetisers were honestly amazing for how simple they were. I would also recommend the pizzas because they were very filling and satisfying meals. We had a wonderful experience here and if you want to have a nice meal in Boston Davio's should definitely be on your list.

This experience was amazing ! The food was, OUT OF THIS WORLD. Literally had the best lobster bisque and I've never had a filet mignon that was that good, I'm not kidding. You could have cut it with a fork 😋 Also our server/the service was outstanding! Our servers name was Lindsey, she deserves a raise ! She was honest about everything she liked on the menu and was funny, and super personable as well. 2 managers came to our table throughout dinner and checked on us too!! Our dinner was great, the service was great and the experience was great. What I'm saying is, go to Davios! You won't regret it 😊😍

It was so good. Chocolate cake was so good. Their onion rings and Brussel sprouts were very oily and so greasy... I think the oil needs to change. The salmon was good.

We went to Daviio's for our anniversary. The restaurant was very nice. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The food was amazing. They took the extra steps to make the night special.

This a solid Italian restaurant with good food and drinks. It is not cheap, but the kind of place that is good for business meetings. It is a big space with a classic feel to it. The staff was nice, but did struggle with service a bit the night my team was there. Overall a nice experience. I would go back.

Omg! Best steaks my husband and I have ever had!! We have ate a lot of steaks from different states and these have been the best! We have even been to Hells Kitchen, food was great but these were better. Also service is better here too. Pricey, but worth everything penny!! Fabio was our server and he did such a great job making sure everything was perfect! I have a gluten allergy and they had gf bread and a whole menu with lots of options!! Will come back to Boston and eat here.

Service is great. Lobster is good. The Prime strip steaks were made to be like well-done under medium well. Can hardly taste any textures. In average 4 out of 5 for an Italian cuisine, just don't regard it as a steakhouse :p
