Five stars on Yelp indicates a rating of "great" and I give that to the Liberty Bar because of the people who work there. I often stop at the bar to wait for medical appointments next door or for a snack after my appointments. The bartenders are always extremely hospitable. Nick, Colin and Justin and the rest of the crew always go out of their way to make me feel comfortable and welcome even though I am not running up a huge bill. Both E.J. and Dave were also outstanding and although I met Chelsea only once, she did an excellent job. The hotel is lucky to have these people on their payroll representing it to the public in a city with so many nice places to go. It is a it pricey and I think there should be more variety on the menu.

Two stars because it's a cool environment. We sat in the lobby lounge. Our waitress was very inattentive. The menu was super expensive for what you got. $20-23 cocktail menu and we were charged an extra $3 for ice for a whisky on the rocks. Our 30 something dollar entrees came out cold. Absolutely would not recommend coming here if this is their norm

And elegant Great place to hang out! Very nice lounge at the downstairs if you feel like dancing! We enjoyed a few drinks there. Everything was smooth. Great location. It is hard to believe this was a jail before.

I love the liberty and I am a fun. I admire the atmosphere and the service that the hotel offers but yesterday was different and I have to talk about it: my friend got me a drink with cranberry which I don’t drink, so I came back to the bar to change it and the bartender TOM was super rude, he made a long statement with an angry face, the people standing next to me were very surprised! I couldn’t catch what he said because of the loud music, but I knew this is not the service not the treatment that I get at liberty! I just felt bad and left after that ! at that time the bar wasn’t busy neither had a line! Rafael Gutierrez ( Alibi)!is very professional, sweet, helpful, him and all his staff, he’s always great, happy, welcoming and that’s why I kept the 5 stars.

This is for the bar on the second floor open area. The worst gin and tonic I’ve ever had, and it was $17! How do you mess up gin and tonic?? I’ve had better $5 gin & tonics. The bartender just rushed and couldn’t care less if it tasted good. The tonic was flat and gross.

Went here for yappier hour and loved it. Nice chill atmosphere.

Interesting bar, good cocktails. Took a very long time to get a drink from a waitress. Hotel lobby staff was rude toward the end of the night. For this price tier customer service was not up to par.

Traveling to Boston since 99, didn’t know about this place til now. What a posh place it makes you feel like you are at a Shawsank set🙌

I love everything about this place . There is no hotel like this in the area . It offers a unique concept in history and origin, modern high end design , great dining options as well as a couple social cocktail and lounge options both indoor and outdoor. During my girlfriends surprise 30th we rented out the back patio as the night got colder we moved in to this bar and the staff was exceptional . Great drinks and environment .

Cool bar vibes in a chill hotel space, however service took quite a long time and my drink was overly sweet.

Weekday lunch and a cocktail. We would have liked to have a seat in the nearby Clink restaurant, but we were too early. Instead we found a table in the lobby area and ordered from the bar tender. The drinks and the food were excellent (salmon and gnocchi entrees). It's a very unique space!

We definitely love this place. My husband myself visited it so many times and we really enjoyed every visit. They have good restaurants and also nice bars in there. I lot beautiful people and great music.

Wow! Incredible vibes in a Saturday night. Coming from NYC I expected little and was blown away. The music was great, drinks reasonable, and noise level perfect to have a conversation without everyone else heading you… but also not too loud to have to scream.

Please don’t order a cocktail here… my 13 year old niece would have made it better. Extremely overpriced and terrible. I would have expected that such a cool place would have better drinks.
