I went to The Corner Tavern recently for a small pub crawl. Everyone had a blast! The tavern is quaint and is located on beautiful street that is lined with many trees, and red brick townhouses. The beer and drink selection is good and the food menu is decent. The Corner Tavern makes for a great pit stop between Northeastern University and MIT.

Awful bar. Awful people working there. A group of 5 of us were enjoying a drink, minding our own business at our own table off to the side, celebrating a 30th birthday. We were taking a selfie and innocently touched the PAPER lamp hanging above our table to move it away. The employee in the photo descended on us like a hawk, berating us for touching his lamp, and kicked us out of the bar. No warning, nothing. Truly one of the most bizarre things that has ever happened to us.

I didn’t expect to be treated like royalty here, but I was astonished at the temperament of these bartenders. It was aggressive and uncomfortable. Coming from a background in the service industry, I hope this establishment saves their business and hires adequate staff. Never ever again.

Walked in with an EMPTY red bull can in my hand and threw it in their garbage. The bartender asked me if I tossed a can which I said yes to. He told me that I had to leave. Told my husband it was illegal. To have a red bull??? I tried to talk to him but he was very rude. Rather not give my business to such a terrible establishment. Saved me the money. Guess this guy doesn’t like tourists. Go Jays!!

Would give a zero if I could. Asked for a drink to “celebrate” my brother tearing his ACL. Was promptly kicked out and told we “can’t drink that quick”. If you can go anywhere else, I would recommend you go there. But shout out to Cody Gakpo behind the bar telling us we aren’t allowed to drink there!

The place has outdoor seating in the summer which is very pretty. The wings- old bay were very salty, tater tots hummus were great, and my friends tried the beer and loved it!

It's a quaint cozy lil spot, they have a good selection of beers on tap. The ambience is very old school and the music is great. Try the Chicken and Bacon ranch pizza! Also their "Seasonal Depression" cocktail. Loved it.

Got in on a late flight, was pleased to see the kitchen was open so late, fed some potatoes to one of the locals who was eyeing them up, I know why he liked them for

I just went to this bar and the bartender is so rude! I asked him what’s the best cocktail here he said I am new I donno just check the menu, I asked him for suggestions and again he rudely replied check the menu. So I ordered a drink and for payment I didn’t have a card on me but I offered to pay by apple pay and he took the drink away and rudely said we don’t do that, have a good night! I mean people in New York are so nice and this was my first day moving to Boston!

I want to like this place but the staff (in particular the bar tender with a man bun) are extremely rude. I give the place 0 stars just for his demeanor over multiple visits to this establishment. I’m not asking for a lot, just a beer and a polite response for my request to change the channel to ESPN.

My husband and I went to Corner Tavern a few weeks ago (10/7) during our trip to Boston. It was such a good experience dining here. There was only one front of restaurant worker, and he was providing exceptional service. This impressed me in particular as there were several groups of customers he needed to attend to. He even searched the TV diligently so we could watch the Wisconsin football game. The food was great, and the atmosphere felt exactly what we hoped for during a Boston trip. The service was what stood out the most, excellent!

Hidden Gem, tomato bisque and grilled cheese combo is the literally best on the planet. Amazing brunch specials, you can not go wrong.

Great drinks but I'm biased on the choice of Music, could be more connected to the visuals of the location.

We loved the meatballs & sauce appetizer! It was packed and we ended up sitting with people we didn't know and had a blast! Real Boston hometown feel❤

Great vibes! Loved the basement feel and brick. We got the pretzel with queso and it was delicious! Felt very safe, it was clean, tables were spaced well and staff were all wearing masks. 10/10

Very good energy, the bartenders can tell when you just need a glass of water and a few minutes to breathe and I love that

Corner Tavern was my neighborhood spot for 6 years when I lived at the corner of Marlborough and Mass Ave. You can’t beat a spot like this in Back Bay. It recalls some of the long forgotten charm that used to characterize the nexus of Back Bay and Kenmore. Super down to earth and authentically Boston. Beverages are always great, especially the crispness of Allagash White on tap. And the food is excellent. There isn’t a huge variety, but it’s standard pub fare which is more Boston to me than the seafood everyone claims to come to the city to experience. Try the Bacon and Pepperjack grilled cheese or come for Taco Thursdays. Whenever I’m at the Corner Tavern it feels like home. I’ll miss it and wish CT all the success going forward and hope it remains an anchor for the neighborhood.

You just never know who will walk in the door at the corner tavern. Truly awesome place. When you need food at 1:45 am, where do you want to be? The corner tavern for sure!!!

An absolute beauty of a bar. Not far from Fenway...only downside being a brit on holiday and a red sox fan....I had to watch the london series in 2019 from here. Thats not a bad thing as the staff were brilliant, great atmosphere and some lovely food and beer watching the game.

its small and the night there are a lot people, there are a few tables, don't need a reservation but you need a identification if you want to drink alcohol (passport in case for tourist)

The best neighborhood hangout is right here. Excellent food and service. Listed as one of Boston's top dives on Phantom Gourmet. Nothing on the menu can be wrong. Excellent drink menu, beer selection, excellent bartenders. This place has a lot of beauty and history. Long-standing pub that once served as a favorite hangout for Whitey and the Winter Hill Gang. Fantastic atmosphere! More importantly, when I come here, I feel like family. I would give this location six stars if I could. The back bay's best wings and bar. Definitely give them a try if you haven't already! Particularly on Thursdays when it's taco night! Thank you, Adam and Corner Tavern staff.

It's been 20+ years since I stepped into this place, little has changed other than the dart board which now has a TV in its place and the staff. It is still a great place to hang out and enjoy a few drinks, and the food looks quite good as well. Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. Just being there makes me want to live in Boston again.

Good deviled eggs. That's all I ate. Friendly service. The music being played sucked but I could have put money in the jukebox and changed it but I didn't.

Neat location, but that was about it. One of their signature drinks tasted like dirty mop water. We sat near the window, and no one ever came to take our order. The bar staff only focused on those patrons sitting at the bar. I ordered cheese tator tots. They were dry and burnt (see photo). The space was dim and dated. The counter tops were dirty and sticky. The bar could use some updates and customer service training.

Had a drink here on the way to the North End for dinner. Service was prompt and fantastic and the outdoor seating was exactly what we needed. I didn't order any food since we were on our way to another location for dinner but I enjoyed hanging out here.

Very cozy place with a good vibe. Staff was very friendly. Wings were the best I think I have ever had. Meat just falling off the bone. Great flavor and not over powering heat. I like the heat but my wife doesn’t. Felt like a good balance for us.

The Corner Tavern is like stepping back in time to when a local corner pub would serve all your purposes and you would have a great experience a great time and make new friends. The corner Tavern is located on the corner of Marlborough Street and Mass Ave. Parking is almost impossible, but you may get lucky on Mass Ave and get a meter. If you're lucky enough the time limit is two hours. Luckily this is enough time to enjoy some of the hearty food and grab a drink. My buddy and I stopped in here and we utilized that two hours to the fullest. As we walked down into the basement you know you were in a Bostonian bar it looks as if the bar has been there for at least 50 or 100 years great wood detail old photos of Boston exposed brick everything you want for a Boston bar experience. The venue is not large but they do have about 15 seats at the bar and an array of tables. We opted for the bar seating. They have about six or seven beers on tap they come out ice cold. They have a great selection on the menu we decided to grab a few grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato bisque. This was a great decision you can mix-and-match about four or five cheese selections, multiple bread selections and the sandwiches are grilled to perfection. The bisque was the right texture and the right amount to go with a sandwich for dipping and tasted fantastic!! I'll definitely go back again just to grab a grilled cheese. Hope you make it to the corner tavern and good luck with the parking.

I love this place. The best staff, the coldest beer, and the most scrumptious wings I’ve ever had. Get the bbq dry rub. Hope you open back up soon!

Service from the host is terrible, but the bartender is very nice. I walked in and stood in the doorway for a couple of minutes (it was not busy inside). Noticing no one, I decided to just take a seat. Then, the host appeared and rudely yelled from across the bar that I was not allowed to sit myself, and proceeded to ask if I had a reservation...there were about 13 people in the entire bar. Drinks are a bit expensive and food is pretty bland.

Great small tavern/pub, hidden gem. The wings were great and the staff was super friendly and fast. They have wonderful salads too, it would seem like pub food, but it's quite dressed up and so reasonably priced too!

If I went to bars enough to warrant being a regular at one, I would want to be a regular at Corner Tavern (or as we call it, CT). I've come to CT several times for drinks with friends and it never disappoints. You can always count on friendly service, good food, and friendly vibes. It has exposed brick and low ceilings so it feels very intimate and a great place to share a drink with close friends or grab a meal alone at the bar. FOOD: I've only eaten there once and some friends and I shared the pretzels with queso. I'm not much of queso fan but this stuff tasted fresh, the kind of queso that is homemade and not from a can. And every other thing I've seen others get has looked good as well. Will definitely be back to CT again and again.
