If you're in the Omni Parker, you have to have a drink at the Last Hurrah. Over to the side of the hotel. Go there in the late evening when the sun's out and the lights are coming on. Great bar. The bartenders were nice when I was there. Made me some good, stiff drinks. Works for me! Kick back and enjoy yourself. The energy of the place is great. You should be able to enjoy the chatter while you sip your drink. Very nice, leather-bound chairs to lounge in. Price? Oh well, if you can afford a night at the Omni Parker - You can afford this bar! Cheers!

Fantastic, attentive waitstaff at one of the most famous bars in Boston! The Boston cream pie was good. The Brazilian drink was fantastic with a spicy kick to it. See the famous photos on the walls too. Famous people include: The Kennedy family, Mayor Curley, Amelia Earhart, and IKE too. Charles Dickens stayed at the hotel too. See the museum downstairs in the hotel too. Hidden gem!

My husband and I have always stayed at the Omni Parker House due to The Last Hurrah being a part of the hotel. Recently, however, our favorite spot in Boston has undergone some changes, which have made it less desirable. First, they removed the taps and replaced them with beer bottles, which are often skunked. Very short-sighted of them, and I’m guessing it’s probably a new managerial decision to save a little money. I don’t know if that’s working out for them or not because we now sit at other bars that do have beer on tap. Additionally, it is now close to impossible to get a table or a seat at the bar. We know they recently had their long time manager (Frank) retire. Getting a table or seat when Frank was there was never an issue. What is happening now is complete mayhem. They will not let you in, even if there are empty seats at the bar. We were informed the capacity is 65 but there are 71 seats so that is why there are empty seats that we can’t sit in. Where is the logic in that? As we were telling the new manager that there are several empty seats at the bar, two people left and we were still not allowed in. Thankfully, the bartender helped us secure a couple of seats. While we are there we watch person after person get turned away, but they’re told they can drink in the lobby. Some do, but most go up the street to Emmett’s Pub. The lobby eventually gets crowded and sloppy looking. There’s a line outside the door to the bar, plus people occupying all the lobby seats, and again there are empty seats in The Last Hurrah. Between the taps being gone, and needing to have some good luck to get a seat even though there are empty seats throughout the room, we will be bringing our business elsewhere. We’re looking into other hotels in the area with a nice bar attached. The reason I am giving The Last Hurrah three stars instead of one, is due to the exceptional staff they have. Ryan and Andrew are excellent bartenders, and always make our night out more enjoyable. The wait staff are all excellent as well, and very friendly. The new manager, however, has been making poor decisions and he’s treating this high end whiskey bar like a twenty-something’s club. While I’m sure he’s a hard worker, he’s clearly very young and inexperienced, and in over his head.

Absolutely horrible experience. When I arrived I ordered a water while I looked over the menus, then I ordered the clam chowder, French dip and boston cream pie, with a cocktail. Soup arrived quickly, but was luke warm at best. Cocktail arrived shortly after, no water in sight, I have a swallowing disorder I require water with every meal to prevent choking. I request my water for the second time. While eating the soup, the French dip arrives, no napkins or cutlery and a small condiment container of dip. Still no water, I request it a third time, along with more dip and a napkin. Water arrives by the time I finish my soup. Still no extra dip or napkins, so I request them again. 30 minutes later I've had neither, but my hands are dirty from attempting to dip the sandwich in the tiny container so I have to clean them off, while I'm washing my hands the busboy trys to take my food and the table next to me has to stop them. When I return I requested to box my sandwich and to have my pie served on a plate so I can eat it and leave. Pie arrives boxed along with my bill. 0/5 stars

Last Night we had dinner at the Last Hurrah in the Omni Parker House. We had to try the Original Boston Cream Pie. It was the best. When the Parker House opened in 1855, chocolate was mainly consumed at home as a beverage or in puddings. There was no lack of chocolate in Boston, since America's first chocolate mill had opened in neighboring Dorchester in 1765. Since colonial times, New Englanders have enjoyed a dessert called American "Pudding-cake pie," but when Parker House's own Chef Anezin and his bake staff drizzled chocolate icing onto sponge cake filled with vanilla custard, something new and sensational was born. Originally dubbed "Parker House Chocolate Cream Pie," Boston Cream Pie became an immediate and perennial hit. The original Parker House recipe for the pie (which is technically a cake) was so popular that in 1958 it became a Betty Crocker boxed mix. On December 12, 1996, thanks in part to a local high school civics class that sponsored the bill, Boston Cream Pie was proclaimed the official Massachusetts State Dessert despite stiff competition from the Toll House Cookie, the Fig Newton and Indian Pudding.

Great place for before or after dinner cocktails in the Parker House. Lots of history in this place and hotel. Staff was very attentive, specifically Peggy. Try the Harvard Cocktail or the Boston Creme Pie dessert drink as something special. Spent most nights in this place for a few days.

What once was a sophisticated historical bar has become Chucky Cheese. Due to the upstairs Parker Bar being closed after COVID, the Last Hurrah bar is the only restaurant currently open in the Omni Parker House Hotel. As a result, slick tables for two are now stuffed with families, surly teens on phones, wandering toddlers and screaming babies. Often the bar, which never used to serve food on Saturday nights in order to keep the atmosphere romantic and upscale, is now just another hamburger joint for tourists. Often, the Last Hurrah is even closed to non-hotel guests. Let’s just hope that the hotel can staff up and reopen the other two closed restaurants so that the Last Hurrah bar becomes adult friendly again.

Drinks were very well made. The atmosphere is classic - like an old bar from the 1930s. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Boston cream pie was excellent. Will absolutely be returning next time we are in Boston!

Great atmosphere with a wonderful selection of food in the heart of Boston. I tried one of their salads and cubana sandwich. The flavor was unique and tasty.

This was one of the bars/clubs in our hotel--The Boston Omni Parker House Hotel, during a quick trip to Boston. Shortly after check in, we headed down for a drink before we headed out for the evening. While there we enjoyed the street view and architecture of buildings outside, and the manager was the loveliest man--while my boyfriend was on a call, here came over and asked me how I was enjoying the wine and when I said it was the loveliest I had had in a while, he discussed and suggested several other wines I might enjoy once I arrived home as well. Very impressed with not just the atmosphere of the establishment but all those who work there as well.

The Omni parkers house has the original Boston cream pie! Very different from the one we ate in my country. The cream is not too sweet and the cake is just perfect! Definitely the MUST-TO-EAT place in Boston! The Boston cream pie is $10 each. Their juice is also nice!

Best clam chowder, hands down. Been in town for a few weeks and come here several times, and I can't get enough. Wonderful vibe, wonderful servers, amusing rotating clientele of tourists and folks here for hotel events. Drinks are fantastic, too - I've stuck to the old school cocktails and particularly recommend the Old Fashioned and the Hemingway. Peggy is a gem. I wish I was local to enjoy this place with more regularity.

Tasty food in gorgeous hotel. Take time to go to lower level of Omni Hotel where restaurant is located. Fast, friendly and attentive service. Had pot pie and beef stew. Both delicious. Topped off with Original Boston Cream Pie (shared one).

Fabulous drinks and great food. Love the fact that bartenders can make old fashioned drinks and they taste wonderful. Not many places can make old style cocktails.

If you only go for a drink, you might have a good time. The bar and seating area are poorly maintained. Chairs and benches are falling apart, paint is clearly chipping off the walls and other furnishings are overlooked. The food tastes like it was pulled from the freezer and microwaved. Portions are tiny for the price. $19 for a French dip sandwich which has 2 slices of meat with an uninspired salty brine for "dip". The famous Boston Creme was clearly store-bought. They were giving them away for free, likely for a reason. Although it's connected to the Omni, it's likely not affiliated given the embarrassing food and upkeep. Stay away.

The pretzel bites were a little tough to chew. But everything else about this restaurant was fantastic. The food The martini's and especially the service. I'm gonna eat here again the next time I come to town.

Stopped in for lunch. The service was friendly. The food was delicious, presented beautifully, and had large portions, all accompanied by an ocean view. Many items are market price, so if budgeting is an issue, it may be a bit of a challenge. That being said, we are glad we went, and if we had time, we would go again.

We wanted to try Boston Cream Pie, which this restaurant invented decades ago. The service was terrific but the pie was just okay. They need to either make the cake more moist, or add some cream inside. Or both! I did enjoy a local craft beer. Good service!

Came on a Thursday evening - the place was very calm and quiet. Espresso martinis were tasty & the Boston cream pie was good, different. Maybe not the best I’ve had, but good.

Stopped in for a late dinner. The chicken parm was really good and the shrimp Cesar salad was also really good. The Boston cream pie was a must try…but it’s a cake not a pie. Staff was great, atmosphere was what you expect at a nice bar.

Love the atmosphere. One of the classier, easy to get to bars in Boston. There was no wait when a friend and I visited on a weekend night. The waiter made us feel like valued customers and made our drinks in front of us, at our table. Favorite part is their low armchair seating, which added to the whole experience.

Classic, clubby atmosphere in the Parker House hotel. Extensive cocktail list - and a cracking scotch list - with bartenders pouring drinks chair side for those in the lounge. I had a fabulous Aviation that was one of the best ones I've had yet. I look forward to returning when I'm next in Boston.

Very nice atmosphere and decent prices, however when it comes to getting what you want be warned... twice I ordered a whiskey neat here and both times I didnt get what I had ordered. 1st time I ordered a whiskey I had yet tried before, but seeing the bar tender pour something different and seeing that poured drink come to my table confirmed it was not that whiskey I had ordered however still decent whiskey. Still, not acceptable. I ordered a 2nd different whiskey to see where this would go. I observed the waitress search for what I had ordered and after she couldnt locate it another employee (manager?) Say "just give him the xxxxx" whatever it was they didnt have either so I got the 3rd suggestion all without being consulted. Luckily I overheard and observed everything and clarified what i was getting. I enjoy all those whiskeys so I didnt complain much, but still very bad practice for any establishment.
