My
husband
and
I
have
always
stayed
at
the
Omni
Parker
House
due
to
The
Last
Hurrah
being
a
part
of
the
hotel.
Recently,
however,
our
favorite
spot
in
Boston
has
undergone
some
changes,
which
have
made
it
less
desirable.
First,
they
removed
the
taps
and
replaced
them
with
beer
bottles,
which
are
often
skunked.
Very
short-sighted
of
them,
and
I’m
guessing
it’s
probably
a
new
managerial
decision
to
save
a
little
money.
I
don’t
know
if
that’s
working
out
for
them
or
not
because
we
now
sit
at
other
bars
that
do
have
beer
on
tap.
Additionally,
it
is
now
close
to
impossible
to
get
a
table
or
a
seat
at
the
bar.
We
know
they
recently
had
their
long
time
manager
(Frank)
retire.
Getting
a
table
or
seat
when
Frank
was
there
was
never
an
issue.
What
is
happening
now
is
complete
mayhem.
They
will
not
let
you
in,
even
if
there
are
empty
seats
at
the
bar.
We
were
informed
the
capacity
is
65
but
there
are
71
seats
so
that
is
why
there
are
empty
seats
that
we
can’t
sit
in.
Where
is
the
logic
in
that?
As
we
were
telling
the
new
manager
that
there
are
several
empty
seats
at
the
bar,
two
people
left
and
we
were
still
not
allowed
in.
Thankfully,
the
bartender
helped
us
secure
a
couple
of
seats.
While
we
are
there
we
watch
person
after
person
get
turned
away,
but
they’re
told
they
can
drink
in
the
lobby.
Some
do,
but
most
go
up
the
street
to
Emmett’s
Pub.
The
lobby
eventually
gets
crowded
and
sloppy
looking.
There’s
a
line
outside
the
door
to
the
bar,
plus
people
occupying
all
the
lobby
seats,
and
again
there
are
empty
seats
in
The
Last
Hurrah.
Between
the
taps
being
gone,
and
needing
to
have
some
good
luck
to
get
a
seat
even
though
there
are
empty
seats
throughout
the
room,
we
will
be
bringing
our
business
elsewhere.
We’re
looking
into
other
hotels
in
the
area
with
a
nice
bar
attached.
The
reason
I
am
giving
The
Last
Hurrah
three
stars
instead
of
one,
is
due
to
the
exceptional
staff
they
have.
Ryan
and
Andrew
are
excellent
bartenders,
and
always
make
our
night
out
more
enjoyable.
The
wait
staff
are
all
excellent
as
well,
and
very
friendly.
The
new
manager,
however,
has
been
making
poor
decisions
and
he’s
treating
this
high
end
whiskey
bar
like
a
twenty-something’s
club.
While
I’m
sure
he’s
a
hard
worker,
he’s
clearly
very
young
and
inexperienced,
and
in
over
his
head.
