My Indian bf really liked the butter chicken they served. Their service was really good. Server was very attentive and helpful. I had a good time there.

TL;DR: That bar lady needs customer facing training and the chef needs research into the cuisine he/she is cooking. If you're a brit, go elsewhere bruv. X I'll start with the fact that I was crazy-excited to go to this pub because it offered Sunday roast is almost impossible to find in the US and I horribly miss my home and its cuisine! So elephant and castle seemed like it'd be a lovely place to try! The inside looks lovely and almost like a British pub. The sunday roast, we were notified, is not served until after 11. Fair enough, we thought and sat at the bar to get some drinks whilst waiting. The lady at the bar gave me the worst attitude I've seen (I'm not sure if it's the same one in another review, but sounds similar!). I'm not asking anyone to dance for me, not no need to be so dismissive! On top of that the Sunday roast - if you are British, don't. Just don't. First, as the name suggests, it's all supposed to roasted - please do your research about this fairly simple dish. Secondly, lady at the counter gave me a nasty look and told me to just read the menu when I asked her what is in the roast and whether they offer nutroast (instead of beef), again, do your research please. Lastly after seeing the roast and the "yorkshire pudding" and having tried it - I refused to pay for it - not a single thing was even close to Sunday roast. And when I asked that same lady take it off the bill, she told me to go see the manager. I asked her - well can you get him here please? she refused to move herself and told me to go around and go see him. The manager was a lovely gent and is the only reason that I left some tip and giving this place 2 stars.

First time ordering from this restaurant and now I will have to visit in person. I ordered two meals, the fish and chips and the Cheesy Leek Potato Pie with mash. Whilst the fist was good, the chips were exceptional well seasoned and crisp. However, the Cheesy Leek and Potato pie and mash were awesome. I haven't had that good of a leek and potato pie since England. The crust crisp and the mash ALMOST colcannon. The delivery was fast and the food still warm. What more can you ask?

Great bar.. never that crowded... nice ambience.. if you are staying in Club Quarters it's just in the lobby. Off street parking and few outside seating but it's a bit inside street and not in the main road. Looks like nothing really happening here. Good place for parties and it's open till late. Downstairs has more room for private parties. Good place for hanging out after work. Entrance is on both ends too.

Visited Boston with my daughter and friends on family vacation. We came across this restaurant on a google search. At first glance this establishment appeared inviting. I cannot speak of the hotel accommodations, but as for the restaurant,,… sub par at best! We had a travel group of six, 3 adults and 3 teenagers. The teens ordered pizza. The adults ordered a salad and 2 orders of “Wee pie”. Our choice consisted of about 2 tablespoons of 4 different pie fillings in a foil mini tin for $14. Sure would have been nice to have a better description from our waiter before ordering the appetizer disguised as an entree. Upon finishing our meal the manager approached our table to correct a miscalculation on our bill. He corrected the bill as we prepared to leave. Before leaving I ventured to the bathroom. I was met by the manager who was carrying two entrees to a table. He rudely exclaimed “could you please put on your mask!?”. If only he had put that much attention into the detail of managing a restaurant. Awful!!!

Stopped in for lunch. Very cool atmosphere and a great place to have a drink, some food and relax. The staff was friendly and attentive. They have a full bar with a good selection of beers. Our food was really good. Easy to get to.

Excellent Irish Pub. I had their traditional English breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly including the beans and vegetables. Their bloody mary is one of the best I ever had. Excellent hangover spot.

Really nice place, and the food was really good. The sweet potato fries were not greasy at all and flavorful. The cheese toastie sandwich was delicious. If I could say something negative, I could say a little bit more panceta. But for the rest, the sauce the sandwich has gives a kick to the sandwich. And the Bee's Knees is the drinks of the moment. The server, Alyssa super attentive. I really recommend this place.

Our waitress was horrible but the food and drinks were good. After bringing our drinks and taking our order, we never saw our waitress again until she asked if we wanted the check. Really we wanted to order more drinks but we were afraid we’d never see her again so we just took the check. The Curry Chicken Poutine was delicious and was really big, enough to have as a meal! Fish tacos and shepherds pie were also good.

Nice place to stop by, especially if you’re staying in the Club Quarters. We went for lunch and then for dinner. The waitresses were friendly and the food is in a good price.

Great way to take a short trip to the UK while still visiting Boston. Soccer matches on all the televisions and ice cold beer at the taps. My favorite is smithwicks and they always have it available. Stopped for lunch and had the fish and chips, as well as the pie sampler. Both were done to perfection but the fish and chips was the star. The haddock was absolutely moist flaky and perfect inside and crispy as can be on the outside. Washed down with my Smithwicks beer and I was in UK when I close my eyes. #stevensleavin

During a break from touring Boston, we decided to stop for early dinner. We chose this spot due to their name & British style. We started our meal with their fried pickles. They were sandwich sliced pickles lightly battered with a delicious sauce on the side. Good portion for the two of us. We chose to cut them into bite-sized pieces after we pulled the pickle out with our bites. I got the Shepard pie and was pleased. It had a nice mixture of meat, potatoes, and vegetables. It came with a tiny gravy boat with delicious gravy. The side salad was lightly drizzled with dressing. My partner got the standard burger with onion rings. He was also pleased with how his onion rings were lightly fried and his juicy burger.

The Steak and Mushroom Pie is really good! Cool pub in South Boston, good for a drink/food.

This place was full of people dressed in colonial regalia. The Regulars are coming...not the British...the colonist were British! So...We were seated at high tables booths in the back. We had 10 at that point in our party. We ordered drinks. There was Strongbow, Guinness, Belhaven Scottish Ale, Fullers...I had Belhaven...it was so good. It was Carmel tasting with really light fruity mouth feel. The wings here were typical wings...maybe a solid B+. They weren't crisp or really meaty. We had a bag of homemade crisps and dips. The curry ketchup dipping sauce was voted the best. We had fried pickles. Really nice batter. Not to crunchy. We also tried the hummus plate. It was a way for us to justify our unhealthy eating habits up to this point. I did dip some of the homemade chips into the hummus. Really good selection...would go back as the bangers and mash looked great!

A perfect Pub & Restaurant, highly recommended if you want to watch the Premier League OR local NFL football games. Great food, wonderful people and an all round winner. It’s been a pleasure, thank you :-)

We were there for two nights and loved this place. Prices are nominal and service is good. Will go there again in 2024.

This restaurant was a good option for us as we were seeing a play nearby and needed to make a last minute reservation. The restaurant has plenty of seating so if you’re in a pinch, they most likely will have a table available. The staff was very friendly and accommodating of our large group. We ordered many different appetizer, entree, and cocktails from their menu. Overall the food is decent, nothing we ordered was above and beyond. That being said their Irish Maiden cocktail was very tasty, and I like the novelty of their Pie Flight. That’s right, four different meat and veggie mini pies that were quite tasty. Definitely an easy going spot and family friendly.

Enjoyed the good selection of draft beer, and atmosphere was fun and energetic for a Wednesday night. The server was detailed, kind, attentive and communicative. The food was at a good value and portion for downtown Boston and provided a nice new option of well-made traditional English dishes like pies, puff pastires, curry chicken, sandwiches. With the prices and service, I thought I was in the suburbs. Well done and will stop by soon for some comfort food!

A true hidden gem. The food is actually amazing here and I was not expecting it at all. I HIGHLY recommend any Shepard's pie dish. The chicken tenders are also top tier. Very surprised by how good the chicken is and the breading. The price is also right here. I will come back to this spot any time in in Boston!

Excellent place, nice atmosphere but the elderly lady server in the morning is very unprofessional and rude for the second time already. Poor service skills. Beside that, food is good and the place would have five stars if it wasn’t for that. Other servers are highly polite and friendly.

Drinks were strong but food was good. Loved my shepherd's pie. Disappointed my wee pie flight was unavailable. Will have to try next time. My daughter loved her fish and chips. Ate all of it. Not a fan of their tartar sauce, which was very vinegar. My husband had the deluxe burger and he liked it. Service was very good. Ran out of milk so went and got it for my daughter.

The place is beautiful and the service was great..but my dinner was disappointing. I had the pot pie sampler of their 4 signature pies. It's a great idea but not worth the $14. I thought it would come with some sort of side, such as fries or cole slaw or side salad. The other meals our party got were very large portions and more satisfying. I'll go again but definitely not order the same thing.

Delightful gem with nice, original cocktails that are worth the price. We only ordered appetizers but they were fantastic! Service was great, polite, and well-masked, and bathrooms were very clean.

Decided to try this restaurant as we had just arrived in Boston and it was attached to our hotel Honestly was just expecting ‘pub food’, but it was so much better! The steak and mushroom pie was so delicious! My friend had the chicken pot pie and loved it, plus said the old fashioned was the best she’d ever had. Very casual laid back atmosphere with great food and great service!

Authentic English Pub food…very delicious food, sports bar atmosphere, friendly staff…if you are handicapped and need a restroom…they are downstairs and I didn’t see an elevator…but there were also other areas I didn’t see that may allow handicap access.

While this place does have some charm. It is far from an English pub. The fish was very greasy. And the "Sunday Roast" was laughable. Who wants a well done piece of roast beef???. Lol. The full English breakfast looks like it may hold a candle to the wind.. Over all. Just meh. Another place not putting in any effort. Probably wont go back.

Recently visited this place to watch the Champions league final. Liked how they installed a massive screen in the middle but their audio quality needed some improvement. The bar was almost full but the noise level wasn't too bad. In terms of food, their fish and chips was quite impressive - fish (haddock) was perfectly crispy and I liked how they chose to go with subtle seasoning level. Fries on the other hand, was just okay. They also had limited selection of draught beer, and it was disappointing to know that they were out of Heineken on the day I visited.

We decided to check out this restaurant for a quick dinner bite and drinks upon checking into our hotel for the night. It was pouring rain, so this made the most logical choice for us. We're glad that we did because our server, Sarah, was fantastic! She was slammed by still gave great service. We decided upon the Pimm's Cup drinks, which were delicious! My spouse was recommended the chicken pot pie and he said it exceeded his expectations. As a chef himself, that's a pretty high compliment. I tried the tomatoes and whipped feta and substituted a gluten free hamburger bun for the baguette. It was also surprisingly delicious. If you're in the area, this is definitely a place to check out!
