My friend and I had dinner at the Boston location. We asked for a table at the bar. I mentioned to our server that it was my friend’s birthday. We shared a few different dishes. The kitchen was so nice and served the shared dishes split up already. They accommodated my gluten allergy. We had great quality food and fantastic wine. When we asked for the check our waitress surprised us with a couple of small desserts on a decorated plate wishing happy birthday to my friend! It was so thoughtful! I highly recommend the Capital Grill! One of the best place to go in Boston!

Wow, what an experience. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is some of the BEST I’ve ever had. For a pricey restaurant, you get what you are paying for. The bone in rib eye (68$) was incredible, and my buddy got the roasted chicken breast and risotto ($38) which was also fantastic. The service is great and even the bread basket was awesome. Absolutely recommend this place for a special occasion!

Celebrated my anniversary here and I was truly impressed. We were 30 minutes late and didn’t expect to still be seated. They were able to still seat us, even with a convention going on next door. The table was decorated nicely with heart shaped confetti and a handwritten anniversary card. Our server was amazing. Very attentive, knowledgeable on the menus, and pleasant. We were given celebratory champagne and dessert. The meal was delicious. I’ve never been disappointed with a steak from Capital Grille. Looking forward to my next visit.

Fantastic waitstaff and service at this steakhouse. Our waiter was very personable, witty, and knowledgeable about the types of steaks. My friend got the rib eye. I am watching my cholesterol so I got the Sea Bass. The asparagus were OK. I like the larger ones. The tuna tartar was amazing too! The sea bass was cool to perfection too. I will return this Spring.

Top Notch between the food and the service. Our sirloin and ribeye steaks were cooked to perfection. Potatoes were amazing along with the asparagus. The manager Kevin gave us a complimentary calamari while we waited for our table to open up. Great guy, amazing with the guest, great personality. It’s people like him the reason we come back. Our server Nicholas was amazing as well! We were celebrating an anniversary they gave us a little sampler dessert dish. So cute! We will be back soon.

It's a nice place

I have been here a few times over the past 10 years or so and I have never been disappointed. Wear a nice sport jacket when you you come in guys because it is a bit of an upscale place. The porterhouse steaks are some of the best in the city. Prices are what you would expect from an upscale restaurant, but the service and food can't be beat. I always tip the waitresses at least 25%. They work hard and do a fabulous job. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic dinner there tonight. Our waitress Venessa was extremely nice and welcoming. We ordered the bone in rib eye and seared tenderloin with poached lobster tail. Both were fantastic. We also got the French onion soup and lobster Mac and cheese. The onion soup was ok but the Mac and cheese was way better than expected. Highly recommend.

Decided to try this place during the restaurant week and got their tenderloin sandwich, truffle fries, and the clam chowder. Since this was a steak place, I didn't expect much from the chowder, but it went along well with the complimentary breads they provided. Truffle fries were good as I anticipated, and the tenderloin sandwich had the steak cooked to perfection. However, it would've been better if they focused more on the presentation and the overall balance - there were too few mushrooms and the butter was not evenly spread over the buns.

I went there with my husband for our 3rd year anniversary. We usually go to the one in NY. Long Island to be exact. We have always loved capital grille. However, the service we received at this location was INCREDIBLE. If we are ever in Boston again, we will make time to go back to this location. The food was great, the service was great, the atmosphere was great.

Fine dining at its best! Our waiter was nice, our steaks were of the best quality. I had filet mignon and it melted in my mouth. I def will return here when I come back to Boston. We were very happy we came here.

Complementary pickles were ok. Wings were good but the burger lacked flavor.. it’s an ok restaurant I wouldn’t recommend or come again to it.

My wife and I came to celebrate our twelfth anniversary and we were fully blown away! Incredibly professional staff with decades of experience within this one establishment! (almost completely unheard of longevity in the restaurant industry) The service was second to none. Prompt, attentive, and consistently available to top off drinks or get the next part of our order. The food was outstanding. The steak portions were enormous but cooked to perfection. Even with the solid amount of beef in front of us we both felt satisfied with feeling like we were carrying around a lead balloon. We now have every intention of adding the Capital Grille as part of our anniversary tradition!

Lunch at the Capital Grille is an elegant experience with top food and service at an affordable price. The mini tenderloin burgers with truffle fries, clam chowder, and creme brulee were all amazing. There were only a few people dining during that time period, so I got to enjoy the beautiful dining room mostly to myself.

Amazing grille/steakhouse in Back Bay. It was packed when my group arrived for our reservation, which did not surprise us at all. If you are planning to go here, a reservation is definitely the way to go. All the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. From the time we sat down, complementary bread and butter was provided. Even the bread options were tasted amazing. The cocktails were amazing as well. For the food, the waitstaff were incredibly kind and answered all of our questions. We had a vegetarian in our group and he spoke to her one-on-one to figure out the best options for her. The lamb rib chops were incredibly tender and the sauce was amazing as well. Everybody at my table had good things to say about their dishes. Things were a little pricey but understandably so. Overall an amazing experience

I love this place, it's one of my favorites 👌 ! I attended last year on my birthday 🎂 with my family and this year again on my birthday 🎂 again with my family 👪! This place is sooo nice, the staff are very very very nice, extremely professional, great energy and they take very well care of you! I promise you will not be disappointed! The 😭 food man! 😋 OH man!!! Sooo mouth-watering and soul-snatching! Overall, I enjoyed this place, even though it was my second time, and this place was great. I appreciate the service that was provided and as well the wonderful meal. Can't wait for the next time I'll attending. You'll love it!

Brothers bachelor party dinner. Solid steaks. A5, gorgonzola dry aged strip, coffee rubbed bone in ribeye, surf and turf. Mushrooms, cream corn, asparagus, double cut smoked bacon, lobster bisque, oysters, wedges. Some awesome cocktails too. Great dinner.

I don’t know where to begin with this place. It had very high ratings so we were excited to go and we booked a dinner reservation for our 2-year anniversary. For appetizers we got the bacon wrapped mozzarella and the tuna tartare. They both tasted good but nothing exceptional. We each got a steak: 14oz NY strip and the 22oz bone-in ribeye. The flavor of the NY strip was amazing but I feel like there should be a smaller option than 14oz because it was too big; they should have an 8oz option. Also, the plate looked very poor because it only had the steak and a small sad herb bundle. The rib-eye was VERY salty and almost unenjoyable. We also ordered fries on the side but they were too hot, oily and tasted like metal/tin. Since it was our anniversary, the restaurant was kind enough to offer us a free dessert and it was a small selection of desserts on a plate: there was a small chocolate cake (dark) with whipped cream on the side and a cheesecake with fresh berries on the side. Both tasted bad and we did not go second bites. We paid around 125$ per person and honestly it was not worth it. We would have had a much better experience in one of the other upscale restaurants that we already tried in Boston. As for the atmosphere, it felt a bit dull; felt like an old country club that only older adults would frequent.

Always love this place, the service is always impeccable, the food quality is always consistent, the ambiance is so luxurious and cozy. Best of all it’s value for money! We had Lobster Bisque, Garden Salad, Steak, and Grilled Salmon. The have a lunch does oak menu and it’s really good value. I was celebrating my birthday and they really made me feel special from the moment I stepped into the restaurant. Our table were decorated with glitters, and the also gave me a birthday desert which happened to be my favorites Crème Brûlée Cheese Cake and Chocolate Lava cake. Highly recommended5/5

Most amazing experience one could ever wish for in a steak house. And Andrew, our waiter made it exceptional! Congratulations on having such staff members! I had porterhouse steak (specials) and it was amazing, so were the cocktails, the Caesar salad, the cheesecake and everything else. I so recommend this place !

The food and service was delicious! I had the Oysters to start, the black salt margarita, and the aged steak with mash potatoes and garlic Spinach. I definitely recommend this place and will return at some point.

I have to say the capital grill in Boston is our favorite we’ve been to Ruth Chris ect all the major restaurants but capital grill is still the best. We even had our wedding reception there. That being said we just went for our anniversary and although the food and drinks and service are spectacular the people there are not. There is supposedly a dress code but half the people around us wore gym sweatpants and ripped up jeans hanging half down their legs. Guys were wearing baseball hats and hoodies laying down on the seats. I’m sorry I spend over 400 dollars usually for our dinner and drinks we take the time to dress nice because that’s part of the whole evening then we saw that and it took a lot away from our nite. If I wanted to see people acting like that I would have went to chucky cheese or dave and busters. Sorry but you Capital Grill should stop being afraid to say to someone their dress and attire are not appropriate.

Still the best steak in town. This place holds special memories for me, as it is where my aunt would take all of us who worked for her and other people in our industry in town to Christmas dinner. She'd send everyone a limo... it was fun. She had the best taste... so if this was the restaurant she chose, you can bet on it. And I still do.

The place offers a vast variety of delicious food. I enjoyed dining here. The employees are always very nice, prices are reasonable and the spot is always neat.

My wife and I have always enjoyed the Capital Grille. The food and service are always excellent. Tonight was better than usual. Our server tonight was Abdel and he was quite possibly the best waiter we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Appreciate the ginger ale, thank you! My family will remember the experience.

Went here for restaurant week. It was packed and for good reason. The menu was outstanding and the staff was very helpful. John the bartender was very professional and the 16oz NY strip steak I had was cooked to perfection. Black and blue. The filter was outstanding. And everything in-between was presented well and delicious. Even the butter had salt crystals on top.

I had to take a client out for a second birthday dinner because of the awful service at a high-end steak place 300 yards from this. The service was spot on. The food was fabulous. Once light mistake occurred and a small portion of my steak was tossed out that was asked to go. They offered to cook me a second bone in fillet for me to take home. Absolute amazing experience service was flawless. Food timing was perfect. Would recommend this 100% if you want an absolute amazing steak experience.

Quality of the food is always good and consistent every time you go. Nice atmosphere not too noisy. Service is not at the level it should be in such place and wine availability is not great (order 2 different bottles and they both run out ).

I had an incredible experience at Capital Grille on Friday night thanks to the server Catherine. She was so patient explaining the menu to us and a true joy to interact with. She made our celebration very special and we’ll be back for her! We took all of her suggestions and had a truly wonderful meal. Thank you Cathy and Capital for a memorable night.

The Capital Grille = My family and I absolutely enjoyed our experience here. They have fantastic selection of items with affordable prices for what u get. I genuinely have no words that can possibly explain how amazing the items that I got were. Staff are super pleasant and service is really swift. Definitely recommending to others.

It was pretty good

It’s a capitol grill so it’s going to be good. This location is pretty good-dress attire varies wildly even on a Saturday night. Had the “just rolled in Sox fans” from a 1pm game and the suit people all in the same place. Food was excellent as always ( went with the Tomahawk special) and the bar was well staffed and attentive. Valet was good so it was easy in and out.

I called in and placed an order for 2 Kona steaks and their lobster mac and cheese. I asked them if they could substitute the lobster for chicken and they did. I went to go pick it up, and when I arrived, they only had one steak, and one order of mac. They quickly resolved it, with just a little wait, I received my second order. They were also so kind enough to give me a chocolate cake and cheesecake. Thank you so much TCG!

The cheesesteaks are so great!! We always get them with fried onions, peppers, and more peppers on the side. Our go to cheese is the provolone, but we've had American too.

I’ve received emails from Capital Grille since 2016 after I cancelled a reservation in Washington. I’ve been waiting to sample the mouthwatering menu for some time and when I came to Boston I immediately booked a spot. Service was delightful and food was fabulous. Ambience was clubbish and really sang comfort and intimacy. Fillet steak cooked to perfection and a lovely smooth lobster bisque. Would recommend wholeheartedly. .

Best Capital Grille I have visited. was there for Thanksgiving dinner, and it was a True Steakhouse Experience start to finish. Steaks and our meals were amazing .. yea I know it was Thanksgiving....but heck ... you go to a Steakhouse you have to have steak. The staff went above and beyond my expectations . Being a Holiday, I was truly appreciative of how the Capital Grille was on top of their game This was my first time at this location, but they were awesome. Would come back to this location again when in Boston.

Fantastic ambiance and service. Appetizers were varied. The meal sides were improperly cooked, the asparagus was still extremely crunchy. Otherwise everything was fantastic.

quality meals, yeah, so fresh. Visited on Fri I believe. The staff was helpful and kind. The prices are well within reason for the quality. They have a lot of good reviews for a reason.

we ordered almost every pasta dish this place has, and every single one was off the charts! The only reason i would say 4/5 rather than 5/5 is because this place tried to charge me $9 for tap water. When you go in, make sure you specify that you're drinking soda.

Thanksgiving lunch was amazing!

Stopped in for a small birthday celebration that consisted of my husband and I. It was a somewhat busier night especially during COVID. The service was immaculate, best service I have ever gotten at a restaurant. They decorated our table with a birthday card for my S.O and it was signed by all the employees which was a heartwarming touch! The steak was amazing. I gave the leftover to my mother who said it was the best steak she had ever had!! Lobster was tender and juicy, my husband loved it. His favorite was the cream spinach, he still talks about it to this day. We got complimentary dessert which was very yummy, and it also said happy birthday on the plate. Interior design was amazing.

My Boyfriend took me here for our 1 year anniversary and my 29th birthday. The staff went above and beyond. The food was exquisited. I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you to the wonderful staff the service was exceptional. This will be definitely a place we return to.

They were so nice, and delicious food

Excellent staff combined with Dine Out Boston made for a fantastic dining experience. The atmosphere is dim and intimate. For Dine Out Boston they offered the chefs selection of courses for a 3 course meal with the option to be accompanied by the Generous Pour wine tasting. I had a salad followed by a bone in strip steak and finished off with a flourless chocolate espresso cake. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium and the cake was a savory delight. I also had the wine tasting and progressed from white to red throughout the meal before sticking with a full bodied and balanced cab to finish of the night. The only downside was that capital grille's menu can be a bit dull if you've been to their other locations and is more expensive than comparable websites nearby.

Exactly what you expect from such a well known place. Best steak I’ve had in years, tender, and perfectly cooked. 10/10

First off I must say karim was so sweet to me and my hubby!! It was my husband birthday 12/14 and I made the reservation in November. I received a phone call letting us know because of COVID there is restrictions, which we didn’t mind because of the situation. First off let me say the two young ladies at the door were very respectful and polite. We waited literally 30 seconds to be seated and was greeted by karim. We wanted a nice bottle of red and I mentioned a specific wine to him but they didn’t have it, karim recommended something similar and he didn’t disappoint at all. The food was delicious!! I don’t have any pictures because I really dislike taking pictures of food (lol) . Our waiter Dominic was the bestttt. He suggested some really delicious options and it didn’t disappoint. We will be back for our 10 year wedding anniversary on Valentine’s Day. Amazing place!!

Friendly staff good food

Very nice ambiance and friendly staffs. I took my family there for lunch and was running late, I called the hostess a few minutes before our reservation and she told us to take our time and will hold the table for us. Alex Gaviria was our server and he did an amazing job!

We've been here before, only for appetizers, but I really wanted a good steak. A good steak is hard to find. I asked the questions from our waiter, Khalid, about the pepper steak and ordered a plain steak with sauce. Great choice. The steak was outstanding, her shrimp cocktail and her tuna tartar and avocado appetizer (for dinner) was fresh and great. We were really pleased with everything in our visit to Capital Grill, and we surely will return soon.

It was cool for what it was.. the lobster Mac n cheese for 22.00 was not WORTH it.. literally 3 pieces of chopped claw meat Salmon was good just not worth 40.00 bucks

Where to begin. The food, the wine, the service. Always on point. The cocktails are always fantastic. If you want to have one of the best steak in the city this is the place to go.
