OVERALL - FOOD is aesthetically plated and made to order (right temperature), but mostly mediocre in both taste and texture. Not great for sharing as small portions. We left our table with about 50% untouched - VIBE is barn / farmhouse / school room. Classic, weathered wood with glass plate ware and glasses. Little noise from outside the restaurant and pleasant background tunes. - VENUE is naturally lit large dining room with soothing profile and green/white/wood color way. Great for groups, dates, and outdoor seating - SERVICE lacks cultural competency for our table which was interested in eating family style and sharing all items. Server also asked us to hand back one menu (which we kept for ordering more food and drinks) when we were already closing out the check. Why didn’t the server wait a couple more minutes to take it with the clean up when the restaurant was at less than 50% capacity? HIGHLIGHTS - cheddar onion biscuit (we ordered a second) - smoked pork belly (great side!) - ceramic ware and plate ware were nice LOWLIGHTS - calamari is heavily battered and fried past golden - ricotta toast is difficult to share (/eat) because the knives can’t cut through the toast - duck confit is flavorless - poached eggs are overly runny eggs (whites were pooling) - served our four-top with two tea kettles and only two cups despite awareness that we were sharing - forgot to bring us share plates

We stopped for a bite before we drove up to Provincetown, very nice outdoor space with a section that is covered and the tables are spaced nicely for social distancing. The staff was quite friendly and efficient. I had the spicy chicken sandwich which I wasn’t crazy about but it was OK and my husband had the lobster roll, which was lacking on the lobster (at $30!). The fresh potato chips were pretty tasty though. Overall, meh.

Great first experience at Loyal Nine. Cool vibes with the outdoor space and our serve was awesome! We started with the calamari which was really quite good. The pastrami sandwich was pretty good but was very heavy. The salad we had ordered was large but lacking enough dressing.

Excellent brunch in the patio. We enjoyed the oats (get this with the egg and pork belly). The sourdough spaetzle was also tasty. They also have great coffee. Highly recommend.

We went in for brunch on Sunday around 11:15 AM. Reservations were made beforehand Wasn't too busy whike we were there - about 60-70% capacity. The location is quaint and quirky. The servers were very active and engaging and were happy to provide suggestions when we asked. - The prices are in line with expectations for cambridge brunches but our party felt that the service was relatively slow given the volume of customers in the restaurant. - The food was decent. 7/10 but not memorable. I had the spicy chicken sandwich with and the paprika flavoring on the chicken was on point.

A little drive from the more touristy downtown Boston area but we had a great time enjoying the more tapas style dishes. It's a little on the pricey side if you're ordering enough plates to have a full meal, but theyal tastes superb. The server was kind and brought me a new glass of wine after noticing a decent amount of sediment free of charge!

My friends and I had a wonderful brunch at Loyal Nine. The food was great and the outside seating with the string lights was very homey. My only criticism is that I think the prices are little high for the amount of food you get. Despite that I see myself coming back to try other dishes.

The shared supper was unique in that the plates are different per table and that some of the items weren't even on the menu. Some of the tastes were overpowering but overall everything was very well prepared and the wine pairings went very well with the food. The presentation was good and the service was great - the wait staff very knowledgeable and when they didn't know then they would follow up to get the right information. Fun and casual for a group of friends.

**EDIT 10/17: Went there again and the service was much better. Food was again amazing*** Let’s start with the goods- food quality and big menu with so many great options. Definitely one of the best places we went to for brunch in the North East. We found it hard to choose which dish to get and we ended up sharing the French toast and the Smoked Broccoli Crock Madame and the Fried Calamari. Each of them was amazingly cooked and seasoned. The only reason I didn’t give this restaurant 5 stars was the service. Even though we got a reservation, it was not clear from the website that the restaurant does not have full service due to Covid. After we ordered the food we waited to be seated and the waiters seemed overwhelmed and unprofessional. Even though the restaurant was not even full and some tables were still empty. We were waiting for our drinks and had to remind them after we almost finished our meal. I understand that Covid changed ways restaurants operate but it’s been a while now, and other restaurants didn’t make it as confusing. Something doesn’t work. Overall- amazing food, will be back and hopefully will have a better experience in terms of the service.

I was visiting my best friend and I discovered this place through bon appetites guide to Boston. My best friend will only eat meat that is humanely raised and it was the perfect choice. We ended up choosing the supper option for dinner which consisted of 9-10 courses from the menu for $55. You are able to let them know anything you wouldn’t be interested in or if you have any restrictions. I ordered the pain killer which was amazing. We also ordered the bread and the spreads, the bean spread was amazing. Every single thing we had was BEYOND amazing and the staff was so delightful/helpful. The amount of food we had for the price was absolutely insane. We obviously didn’t need all the bread either. I left completely stuffed. The supper is totally worth it if you are visiting for the first time, it’s totally a deal.

Hearty yet creative American food with some French influence. The cafe menu is a step above what you might expect from a cafe, brunch is really satisfying (bacon is otherworldly), and their coffee is very good. Still, the star is the supper tasting menu. So many wonderful dishes there for a very reasonable price. This is my favorite restaurant in the Boston area, and I've been to a lot. The beer selection is not huge but quality, and cocktails are good.
