Mama Maria’s is a MUST go! We had reservations here last night and left with no regrets. Started off with the most delicious baked oysters and grilled octopus. The Pasta con Sugo had a hearty ragu with homemade pasta. Ended dinner with Flourless Chocolate Cake drizzled in raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream. A very thicc cake, definitely need something to wash it down with. We got limoncellos to help with this haha. Totally recommend this place! The ambiance and food put you in the mood for a relaxing, Italian evening in the North End 💋

"Buono! Mamma Maria has it All: Elegant Ambiance and Exceptional Signature Offerings" Stephaine, the friendly hostess, greeted us outdoors in the patio courtyard; we did change our reservation to an earlier time with no problems. We were seated upstairs at a corner table in the middle of two windows. The views were the courtyard and a side street. The room itself is beautiful with paintings and upgraded decorating. This place knows elegant dining with white linen table cloths and gorgeous Royal Dalton China yellow plates! Our attentive waiter, Fabrico, explained the menu and noted the specialties. The menu is full of northern Italian specialties that change daily; their signature dishes are a constant. The bread service is fabulous as well, with olive oil, hand-grated parmesan cheese, and mixed olives. We ordered the warm crab salad as an appetizer; the presentation was beautiful, with grilled asparagus, frisée, and a poached egg. Large enough to share! We ordered the Lobster Agnolotti Pasta for the main courses, which consisted of Maine lobster, asparagus, wild mushrooms, and crumbled guanciale (a cured meat similar to prosciutto). Absolutely heavenly, the tri-colored pasta was cooked a tad bit softer than al dente, with wonderful bursting flavors and a light sauce pairing. I've never eaten such an unusual lobster pasta dish, and it was "one of a kind" and outstanding! The Osso Buco with veal and risotto was also a hit! The best my husband has ever tasted, with the presentation a stand-out, (see photo). Over all, we didn't feel rushed, we were made to feel relaxed, and pampered. The dinner experience was incredible.

Got reservation here a head of time. Started out with delicious scallops and meat balls. Both were fantastic. I got the risotto woth bone marrow and I believe this was veal. It was full of flavor and just melts in the mouth. The ravioli was delicious as well along with the fish halibut. Desert was a lemon cake with lady fingers. All in all would recommend this place again and will probably go here next month

The best place to go for a proposal. The setting is stunning: quaint, quiet, aesthetically pleasing, warm and welcoming. The entire staff couldn't be more friendly and welcoming. We were given complimentary champagne, and the food was delicious and appropriately priced. Loved the octopus pasta and the meatballs were not surprisingly fabulous. Huge wine menu. Instantly became our go-to for further anniversaries and romantic celebrations.

Mamma Maria is a Must Go place. Michelin Star Restaurant Experience. The food is so delicious, every dish was just awesome. 🥰 The best part is, we went around 8:30 and the restaurant closes at 9:30 PM EST but still no Server has forced us to leave instead they served what all we need even after 9:30PM. This gesture is unforgettable. The Server is so welcoming. The best Italian food ever I had in Boston. If you are in Boston, you have to visit this place for sure.

The food was incredible here, but that's the only reason I would give it a second chance. The service was extremely slow for what seemed like not even a busy night. The waiter was very kind but we never seen him. For what you are paying, you would expect top quality service. I really enjoyed all of the dishes and staff was friendly but very frantic and chaotic at times. Maybe understaffed?

Had a great time on Saturday 6/11/22 for dinner. There were five of us and we were seated promptly (we had reservations). I ordered the scallops, lobster pasta and the beef dish. It was excellent. The beef was cooked perfectly and the pasta was al dente. The service was outstanding our waiter, Ivan, was helpful and attentive without being intrusive. The whole table loved their dishes including the rabbit pasta. I highly recommend!

Absolutely delightful experience. I’m not one to write reviews but going to this restaurant was by far one of my most memorable experiences of my trip to Boston. Raphael, our server… was extremely professional, knowledgeable, cultured, witty and very sophisticated but without sacrificing charm and humor! The food was outstanding and the ingredients fresh and authentic, The atmosphere is immaculate and straight out of a movie. If you’re looking for an authentic Boston-Italian experience, look no further than Mamma Maria! Thank you for the Bday dessert Raphael!

Went 7/29/23. Must make reservations, the chances of you getting in without reservations is very slim, the place was packed. I also made these reservations a like almost 2 months in advance. Food The food was fabulous. I was very impressed, the food was fresh, seasoned and good size portions for a fine dine type place. Also, the food took a while to come out but it was delicious! The scallops were the best scallops I have ever had. My lobster ravioli, was so flavorful and tasty! They did not skimp on the lobster it was fresh, seasoned and filled in the ravioli. My fiance also really enjoyed her meal as well. Dessert It was ok. Drinks We didn't order any Space Inside is VERY tight, you sit so close to others. The bathroom was super clean, and their paper towels were 5 stars. Service 5 outta 5, very kind and was always a step away if you need them. Getting there is crazy, there is no parking, the street is super narrow and crowded and valet is $30, just uber.

Mamma Maria was absolutely fantastic. We were in Boston for the last day of our honeymoon and we wanted to go out for good Italian food, and Mamma Maria did not disappoint. The menu is updated daily, and everything on the menu had a curated palate that would make any foodie grin with excitement. Everything was so flavorful, and each dish had its own life and personality. Our server was very knowledgeable of everything on the menu, and helped us to create our ideal dinner when we weren't sure what we wanted. Everything was sublime, and I'm only sad we don't live in Boston so that we can visit more often!

The food, the dining experience, the service...it all was top notch. You will be hard pressed to find a better Italian restaurant in the city/state. The dining room is dimly lit and creates a wonderful ambiance. The venison two ways was wonderful and perfectly cooked to a light medium rare. This has become my default "go to" North End experience for people out of town etc. I really can't speak highly enough of this restaurant. The parking is rough but that's the north end .

I lived in Boston in the early 2000's and I used to come to Mama Maria's on dates with my now husband! It was surreal to come back and eat here, and this time we brought our kids. This restaurant used to be so tiny inside and their tables were so close together, but it was still amazing food and excellent service so we kept coming back. Now- they have tables set up outside in North square! It was the perfect way to bring our family to dine here without feeling bad about kids in a small intimate inside area. The food was amazing as ever, service was impeccable - they didn't make us feel bad for the kids, and we were able to enjoy ourselves. Kids were able to get any pasta with sauce if their choice. The squash ravioli with mushrooms was melt in your mouth! My husband got the Cornish game hen that was fall off the bone and popping with flavor! They brought over a blueberry pannacotta for me for a birthday dessert. I don't ever order this, but it was silky and Delicious. Such an amazing night!

Went here two times and were absolutely pleased both times. The food is amazing. I love the diver scallops appetizer, it was cooked to perfection. We got the veal for entree, it was so beautiful plated that the diners next two us couldn’t stop looking over. The only complaint I have is that I felt quite unwelcome by the host/hostess. Our server and busser were respectful and attentive, though.

I spent anniversary with my husband and satisfied so much. Their oysters are something that I never experienced before. The Veal Cotolleta was super great. I love the crispy powder covered the meat and it never got tough even though we ate really slow. Great service is not to even mention.

Amazing food!! Impeccable service, everyone from hostess to the bus boy. Must mention Yvonne, Dulcet and Raluca for their special attention. Beautiful place. Overall great place for pasta. I apologize but i didnt get the name of the dishes because we dove right into them. My favorite was the one with creamy white sauce, topped with truffles.

This place is a gem. Beautiful inside and out. Great food at a good price. Worth taking a look at the cocktails as well. We enjoyed the Meat sauce, burrata, and a few drinks for a work celebration. We loved it. Worth a visit for sure and the homemade pasta is unreal. Menu changes daily. Service was great!

This place exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing, home made and better than anything I’ve had in a while. Raluca was our waitress and she was phenomal. So sweet, and had great recommendations. The tuna tartare was by far the best I’ve ever had, along with the truffle pasta I ordered. I would come back to Boston JUST to come back to this place 10/10

We originally had reservations at Florintine Cafe, but they stuck us back in a terrible spot and did not even acknowledge us for 5 min. Needless to say we walked out. We went around the corner to Momma Maria's just to see if we could make a reservation for the next night. The maitre de was kind enough to seat us, even though they were booked for the night. They seated us outside and in a wonderful spot. The wait staff was very attentive and professional. We had cocktails that were mixed perfectly, and I ordered a Negroni straight up and that was how I got it! We had the roasted pear and prosciutto salad. It was such a fantastic blend of sweet and savory flavors. For our entree we shared the lobster ravioli. The lobster was tender and sweet, the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was light and perfectly flavored the ravioli. We capped of our dining experience with the apple tart. My wife said it was one of the best deserts she ever had. Overall this was a very enjoyable evening spent with Momma Maria.

Beautiful location in a plaza with white table cloths and lots of waiters. Our waiter was very efficient but would not crack a smile for nothing. The burrata was good but the endives were very bitter. The bread was super chewy. It came with delicious pesto and olives. The pasta dishes, the rabbit and the summer ravioli were very good. Overall a very nice experience.

Had one of the best culinary experiences in my life at Mamma Maria's this past weekend. Sat at the bar with my girlfriend as everywhere else was reserved. The two bartenders, Anderson and Achilles, really went above and beyond to make the whole dinner adventure absolutely fantastic. The drinks were perfect and the food was ridiculously good.

PERFECTION Four out of Four Stars (Google Suppresses 5 Star reviews) In North Square, located in Boston's North End across from Paul Revere's house, sits Mamma Maria's Ristorante This beautiful restaurant is in a converted 19th Century Row House, with five beautiful dining rooms, and is executing fabulous Italian-inspired cuisine. 🦞 My personal favorite was the Lobster Agnolotti Pasta filled with fresh Maine lobster. These three tri colored pastas were huge, absolutely made with fresh pasta, and stuffed with sweet lobster. 🦪 The stuffed Duxbury, MA Oysters baked with prosecco zabaglione were delicious and we wish we knew how large they were before ordering, make sure to save room accordingly because the prosecco zabaglione is delicious. Polpetti, Chickering Farm, Westmoreland, NH pork and veal meatballs, baked on a skewer, with mint yogurt, sage pesto, and roasted tomatoes Beef Tenderloin, Grilled Black Angus beef tenderloin with Hudson Valley foie gras, roasted sweet bell peppers and baked fusilli pasta carbonara, The mozzarella and roasted tomato's were something straight out of a Tuscan kitchen. We finished with desserts of Tiramisu and Tea Cup Cannoli, but wanted to try so many more.

We started with winter salad followed by bass, cornish hen, and ravioli, and ended with a scrumptious apple dessert. The extensive wine list was bypassed, alas we had children in tow. Our taste palettes were rewarded with flavorful offerings and our sense of propriety was upheld with superb service and attention to our comfort and satisfaction. A malleable setting, Mamma Maria could just as easily accommodate a small business dinner as it could a romantic interlude. Strongly recommend reservations and leaving room for dessert. Mamma Maria made our dinner celebrating our engagement so, so special. The restaurant has such an incredibly intimate, romantic ambience. The wine was fantastic and the food was exceptional. We will be back, and we’ll certainly remember our experience forever.

Beautiful, relaxing ambiance with tons of outdoor seating. The menu changes to mirror the seasons. All of the food that we ordered was fresh and well prepared, but the stand outs were the Polpette as an appetizer and the Lamb Three Ways as a main course. Service is short but timely. Overall would recommend, but isn’t incredible.

We went for my boyfriend’s birthday, I booked a table online and was really happy with my choice of place. I made some notes while I was making the reservation. The restaurant did everything I asked for. The service was wonderful and food was amazing. The price was reasonable too. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. Thank you for the lovely evening and unforgettable memories. I fell in love with the place and got a good vibe from being there. We will back definitely.

What an amazing experience! The menu of the day was so unique we wanted to try them all. So, we each ordered something different and shared samples. Our palates were satisfied so much we didn't have room for desert. Also, a beautiful night in downtown Boston made the outside dining in the plaza really a bonus!

Second time here, I love this place. Fine dining on the North End, lovely seasonal menu changes regularly. Superb food, service and wines. Emer and Rafael our professional servers looked after us wonderfully, in splendid romantic decor with amazing dishes. Try the lamb three ways or the angry seafood pasta - you won’t be disappointed!
