Phenomenal contemporary Italian restaurant with impeccable food and service. My friend and I took a visit here about a month ago to enjoy innovative Venetian dishes. Known for their cicchetti, SRV seemed like a perfect place to try a good variety of small plates. We were intrigued by some of their cicchetti and decided to try six, and each cicchetto was light and not overly flavorful. Our favorites were the pistachio meringue and the baked mussels, and both were certainly great introductions to our meal. Out of the appetizers, we loved the porchetta which was extremely tender and flavorful. Fried sprouts gave it a nice contrasting texture, and its seasoning and the purée made an interesting flavor profile. While the lobster risotto wasn’t as impressive as the other plates, spinach corzetti was fantastic. The portions were quite big, so I would recommend getting one entrée if you’re sharing a lot of cicchetti. SRV changes its menus quite frequently, so some of these descriptions may become irrelevant soon. Nevertheless, they seem to excel in creating sophisticated flavors. Overall, our experience at SRV was beyond our expectations, and I would highly recommend trying as much cicchetti if possible.

SRV was AMAZING, the service was great and the food was even better. We had just left Fenway after my wives first game (we broke the losing streak, you’re welcome). After an afternoon of Fenway franks, this was a welcome change of pace! Cannot recommend the cocktails enough!

Really enjoyed the tasting menu! Great value and the food kept coming. There were a couple questionable items like the duck liver and beet salad but overall we enjoyed and will be back. The pasta dishes were our favorite!

WOW! This place exceeded the already high expectations I had. The service was phenomenal and the food was exceptional. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, patient, and knowledgable. We ordered the seeded rye crostino, sea trout (which is one of the best things I have ever eaten), tortelli, and crab risotto. I suspect that you can't go wrong with anything on the menu based on the caliber of these dishes. The dessert was good as well - cheesecake, affogato, and the bigne. The americano was also one of the best cups of coffee I've had. Cannot recommend this place enough. Only disappointment is that I've lived in Boston for 5 years and have just discovered this restaurant.

Food was fresh and beautiful, but honestly tasted a bit better the last few times I was there. However, my server Danny was phenomenal. Incredibly accommodating for my son's nut allergies. Chef made him a delicious snap pea side with his scrumptious pasta and meatballs. Tasting menu was the perfect portions as well.

Ordered the baked mussels and the zucchini blossoms from the cicchetti menu. Very small bites, but such unique flavors. Great, but small Italian wine list by the glass. The agnolotti pasta with peaches, red onion, and walnuts was memorable. I would love to try to make something similar at home. Would definitely go back and try more small bites and sit on the back patio.

Absolute gas. No complaints. One of my favorite dining experiences in Boston thus far. The ambiance of the outdoor back patio and the attentiveness of the wait staff go unmatched.

I attended a wedding here and the service was sincerely excellent. The staff were all attentive, friendly and smart. The food was delicious and unique. We enjoyed several pasta dishes, pork loin, cod and everything was plated gorgeously and accompanied by tasteful sauces. The cocktails and drinks were amazing too! What a lovely wedding!

Thank you for having us yesterday night. We tried the tasting menu called "Arsenale menu" and it was the best thing ever. A full course till desert. The plates kept coming and were delicious. We did not like two of the dishes, surprisingly they replaced them by other ones. Great ambiance, very clean and nice spot, top notch staff, efficient and courteous service, clean bathrooms. One of the best place in Boston. We will definitely come back.

Impeccable! Don't miss this magical food art exhibition. Be amazed by the level of chef. and services. If I needed to choose a restaurant to celebrate anything I would choose this place without hesitation. Will undoubtedly come back a second time!!!

Great place Size of the portions is a bit odd. The waitress said she was going to leave us alone so me and my friends could catch up and then she continued to stop by every 5 min Overall lovely dinner

Couldn't ask for a better spot to photograph a wedding. Amazing food, incredible staff and the perfect intimate setting for a wedding. I've always felt so welcomed walking through the doors and if you're considering SRV for your wedding day, you won't find a better spot in the city.

Classy Italian spot in the South End! Plenty of tapas-style dishes to share, plus your own pasta to end off the meal. For smaller appetizers or cichetti, we got Marinated Olives (with orange, bay leaf, chilli flake), Fingerling al Forno (potatoes with hazelnut, Asiago cheese, apple), Buckwheat Biscuit (Gorgonzola, quince, soppressata), Arancini (parmigiano-reggiano, mascarpone, roasted garlic), my favourite of which was the Buckwheat Biscuit. For the slightly larger appetizer dishes or piatti, we got the Honeynut Squash (prosciutto, sage, currants, sesame) and Halibut (celery root, squid ink, black garlic). Both were amazing, very well executed, with aromatic flavours! And finally, for my main, I tried the Paccheri (with miso, eel, scallion). It is a very unique dish, with Japanese Asian flavours. It is a bit stronger on the eel/fish taste, so maybe not for everyone, but I appreciated the innovative take on this pasta dish. Highly recommend this place, and cannot wait to go back to try other pastas!

Today was the first time we visited SRV for Sunday funday brunch! We’ve passed by the restaurant plenty of times, but this time thought we’d celebrate the day since we haven’t really dined out since the pandemic. First and most importantly, customer service here is excellent from the front door all the way to the back of the house. We were greeted with a smile upon entry. The restaurant was clean and decor was cozy, modern, and eclectic. It’s nice and spacious, unlike many Boston Proper eateries. We were so hungry and couldn’t wait to try everything. Tony, one of the managers, took great care of us and made sure that we were having a great dining experience. She was very accommodating and demonstrated excellent customer service, which is priority for me. Our waitress was very friendly and personable as well. We look forward to dining there for dinner, and of course saying hello to our friend Tony at SRV!

If I could give SRV 1 million stars I would. I brought family/clients for dinner and the staff went above and BEYOND with (my) allergies and other flavor requests. A HUGE shout out to Sam and our other servers who were absolutely STELLAR in their menu suggestions and wine reccomendations. I also reccomend going to the bar for a post dinner cocktail, ESPECIALLY the Espresso Martinis! I've always been an SRV fan, and you should be too!!!

SRV is one of the best restaurants in Boston. The space is beautiful especially when the front doors are open. The service is always exceptional. But the real reason to go there is the food. On my last visit I really enjoyed squash blossoms, fried quail, and corn torta. Every time I go I'm reminded that I don't go often enough.

We had an interesting experience at SRV we tried the testing manu because it sounded great and the waiter said it was delicious. The testing in our opinion was not great. The food was extremely eclectic definitely not for everyone. I would recommend you order off the menu.

Wife and I took the route of the Arsenale menu so everything was off menu and picked by the kitchen. So I can’t speak to their menu but the off menu pairing were perfect. We had several expensive meals during our stay in Boston to compare the food against. The food complimented each pairing very well, the timing of the meal was very quick but not too fast or too slow. Each course (8 total) complimented the previous. Against other restaurants it was cheaper and had exceptionally better flavors. The atmosphere was great and it was clear the team works very well together often covering each others tables to ensure that every patron was taken care of. Also a note there is a tip for the kitchen staff on the bill (I’m fine with that but fair warning to those who prefer tip sharing). Only negative for the atmosphere is the view was a bit lackluster, if it was on top of a building it would hands down be 5s across the board. I cannot recommend or state enough that SRV wins my choice for best bang for your buck in Boston.

I met a friend for a drink here on a gloomy Winter evening, and SRV provided the perfect cozy ambiance. We sat at the bar and inquired about their wines by the glass. Our bartender asked us about our preferences and then generously created a mini tasting for us between three reds before we choose which we would like. Lovely experience and generous staff. Also loved that the sparkling water was complimentary.

We had high expectations for SRV, but our experience didn't quite meet them. Opting for the tasting menu turned out to be a misstep. The portions were surprisingly small, more akin to amuse-bouches, and one of the two 'main' dishes—a mix of fusili noodles and beef hash—was notably underwhelming. Observing other diners, it seemed that choices from the standard menu were more appealing. The ambiance of SRV is a plus, with its pleasant, casual vibe and an inviting outdoor seating area. A unique touch is the complimentary 'carbonated' tap water. The key takeaway would be to skip the tasting menu at SRV and maybe explore the regular menu for a potentially better experience. If you want a fantastic tasting menu instead, spend a bit more and try Zuma.

If you are looking for Italian-inspired cuisine in Boston, this is a must go. SRV is located in the South End and the restaurant features an extremely cool back patio. The service was excellent, and the bar can conveniently transfer your tab directly to the table, so you don’t have to rush to close the tab when your table is ready. The Prosciutto and Marinated Olives are to die for. We basically tried the entire Cicchetti menu, and all of them were amazing. The plates were small tapa size so if you go there with your significant other or a friend, I would recommend trying them all. For main dishes, we got some raw fish, Conchiglie, and Agnolotti. Agnolotti was flavorful and fresh; yet the Conchiglie and Trout were not on the same level as the other dishes. Last but not least, the service we received was great and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcome and gave us an amazing experience. PS. Their Caffé Corretto was a generous amount. MUST TRY, if you like your grappa

I had a phenomenal experience at SRV. I have Celiac Disease and have to adhere to a strict gluten free diet. The team at SRV went above and beyond to accommodate me from clarifying my needs to carefully outlining the gluten free options on the menu and reiterating with every dish what was safe. We had the chefs tasting menu and every bite was divine. Can't wait to go back!

This place is such a delight! The service here is impeccable. Our waiter was warm and approachable, knowledgeable, attentive but not hovering. The tasting menu was great. It was more food than we could eat, absolutely delicious, and felt like such a good value. The eggplant, tomato tartar situation, and a seafood gnocchi were standouts for me. And the polenta cake, wow!!

Wow, it's been so long since I felt so pampered and ate such delicious and beautiful food! The outdoor patio seating is incredible, it's behind the restaurant, secluded from traffic, and with heaters, such great vibes! The service was fantastic, they suggested how much of everything to get, and each of our courses arrived with impeccable timing. My favorites were the black bass in parsnip yoghurt, the ham and focaccia appetizer, and the semifreddo dessert (you know it's good if I passed up tiramisu for it!). The girelle pasta dish was very interesting and tasty- it was like a lasagna but way more intricate. The quail came with a delicious stuffing and a side of freekah with rhubarb, which tasted so refreshing! Next time, we're going to try the set menu, everything here is amazing!

Our meal at SRV was the best many of us had ever had in Boston. The outdoor patio has a lovely ambiance, and the wait staff is very kind and attentive. One server even went out of his was to recommend a mushroom forager to me. We opted for the tasting menu and were not disappointed. The have a vegetarian version of their entire tasting menu which is AMAZING. The favorites included: the aranchini, roasted squash, beef lasagna. We already can’t wait to be back.

I had such a lovely experience at SRV. We started at the bar and was welcomed by Ryan. Ryan was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and encouraged us to adventure around new food items. The food was foremost beautiful and flavorful. The menu and cocktail menus were thoughtfully curated and dazzled the pallet. It was truly one of my top 5 all time dining experiences. In time we were seated in the main dining room and the spirit of hospitality oozed out of the entire staff. Everyone was engaged, moved with purpose, and frequently checked in of us. I would highly recommend. Also aestically the restaurant was gorgeous. The main pull up doors were open which gave the illusion of an wide indoor outdoor feel.

Went for dinner on a Tuesday, comfortably busy. Amazing food, good choice for pescatarians and vegetarians, honestly my photos do not do it justice 😂. Plus great wine and service. It was a bit pricey though.

All the staff were amazing! However the food was so flat. Not horrible, but nothing amazing or wow. for being known for risotto, they sure don’t know how to cook it. The shrimp pasta dish was okay but it lacked sauce and was flavorless. The small plates were the only decent meals on the menu.

One of the best dining experiences you can have in Boston. I was incredibly impressed 1) High quality food - each dish is well though through and crafted 2) Phenomenal tasting menu - many dishes, reasonable price, delicious. I generally worry with tasting menus that I’m going to leave hungry but we were incredibly full after this one 3) Phenomenal service - each dish came in a streamlined quick fashion. Service was just right - check ins, good conversations. 4) Thoughtful staff - We had a 830 reservation. They had us wait ten minutes for our reservation because it was a busy Friday. We didn’t mind but in exchange they gave us two fancy cocktails on the house - incredibly unexpected and not needed but helped enhance the experience 5) Accommodate vegetarians well - we were worried but they were able to convert the tasting menu completely to a vegetarian experience 6) Phenomenal drinks Feels like your getting a Michelin star experience

We all got the tasting menu and it was AMAZING. The staff was great and happy to accommodate one of our party who is pregnant and has some food restrictions. A great night: great food, atmosphere and staff. A well-run operation through and through. Highly recommend!

Celebrated a close friend's micro wedding here, and SRV did a great job helping things stay safe and distant, while also feeling social and enjoyable. The staff was friendly and helpful, working with us to make the event great. The drinks were very good and unique. The dishes were flavorful and fresh. We had a great time and really appreciated SRV making the event special.
