The whole concept of Aqua Pazza was very similar to that of Mare Oyster Bar which is only a block away. Since they are operated under the same ownership, this was expected, so we decided to go for dishes that seemed more unique. We started off with a dozen oysters and salmon crudo which were all fantastic. Oysters were on par with what you would get at other North End restaurants, and I also enjoyed the touch of scallions on the crudo. For the entrées, we had the aqua pazza, orata, and the lobster pillows. As expected from a contemporary Italian restaurant, seasoning was kept to a minimum, and ingredients on the side only existed to highlight the flavors of the seafood in its respective dish. Aqua pazza was similar to cioppino but without the tomatoes. The white fish in it had an extremely buttery texture, but the dish overall wasn’t too interesting. On the other hand, the combination of grapefruit, artichoke, and the orata was particularly memorable. The only disappointment was that they kept all the windows open during a hot day with high pollen levels. For people who are allergic to pollens, this may be one of the worst place to dine in during the spring. The inside temperature also ended up being higher than the outside due to the heat from the kitchen. Otherwise, it was a great experience overall, and I would recommend checking them out.

Great seafood, okay prices, and mediocre service. Got the shellfish tower which was definitely the highlight of the meal. Delicious, fresh seafood and worth every dollar. Price for the shellfish tower is 100% worth it. Other dishes were pretty good, though pasta dish portions were small. Service was lacking. We were pushed into the corner of the room (one person in our party was stuck between the table and the wine rack), with the server coming only occasionally, food taking a long time, and a generally non-attentive wait staff.

Exceptional experience here at aqua pazza. The best thing about this place has to be the food, which was phenomenal. Below are the subcategories of the review. Food - 18/20. Some of the best food I have had in the area. Burger was awesome, the lemon salmon appetizer was the best I have had (even better than some sushi places) Service - 7/10. Very attentive with refilling water, patient and kind . Atmosphere - 5/10. Very hard to get truly nice atmosphere given its space and location. The inside looked super cramped and a bit claustrophobic. The outside was actually super enjoyable. Overall score - 30/40 (Great experience - you definitely need to go) Favorite dish - Lemon Salmon

Great food and great service! This resturant is part of Mare and Assaggio and you can not go wrong coming here for dinner. Outside seating area available. Cozy small bar inside… great cocktails (good espresso martini and spritz). Food was delicious and first time in Boston I found the Orata fish (Mediterranean fish) … very good! Risotto with fish was special of the nite … good portion and tasty.

Mind blowingly bad experience. My wife and I were celebrating a good week and thought we should treat ourselves and found this place online. Once we were seated, it took 10 minutes to be greeted by a server. No problem, busy Friday nights mean we all have to wait for water. Once the server was able to take our drink order, he informed us they cannot make martinis because the only alcohol they serve is flavored citrus and that we must order pre-designed drinks. So I ordered a “margarita”. After waiting 15 minutes to get the “margarita I tasted nothing but sugar water. Zero alcohol content. We orders oysters which were sloppily served at an angle that allowed for all oyster juice to drain into the small ice tray they were served on. I asked for hot sauce and cracked pepper and the server looked like he had never heard of these things. Once those things arrived 15 minutes later, the oysters with which those things were going to accompany had already been eaten. Entrees: I was served cold manicotti with tomato sauce that had zero seasoning, not even salt.and my wife was served cold and sticky fettuccini. When I brought this up my dish was taken from me and returned without being heated. Buyer beware. The food and drink quality here is pathetic.

The pasta is good, but not for the price that they charge. We ordered their 2 best pasta dishes/most expensive and they are very small and do not taste great. Instead of going here go to Il Panino which is from the same group and it is totally worth it. More reviews in Instagram @pa.babear

Great atmosphere in the north end off of Hanover Street. Food and drinks were delicious! They have both indoor and outdoor seating available now,, we chose indoors due to the crazy hot weather. We tried a little bit of everything and you could not go wrong. For Appetizers we had: meat and cheese board- the prosciutto and truffle oil cheese were amazing,Grilled octopus with burrata which was made perfectly and the Italian meatballs, which is made and tasted as it should with lots of sauce and cheese. We also got some oysters, crab legs and huge shrimp cocktail from the raw bar and all were amazing. For entrees I had the cracked pepper fettuccine and my wife had the seafood risotto both of which were amazing. The drinks were amazing from the bellini, espresso and homemade lemoncello!

Wow! Just WOW! I had the manicotti, which is entirely homemade, and husband had the short ribs. Both were the best we'd ever had of that dish. The service was incredible, Enrica was our server and she was knowledgeable about the menu and very charming. We will definitely be back. Oh and don't be fooled, an Italian restaurant can most definitely make an awesome margarita.

Amazing option in North End! Great vibe, manages to be cozy & modern all at the same time. The food & service is incredible — The pasta sampler special was a *can’t miss* IMO & the GM, Matt, goes above and beyond to make sure you’re experience is top notch.

Came in without a reservation for dinner and grabbed 2 seats at the bar. Service was excellent as was the pasta and wine selection. The espresso martini was also good.

What an awesome find during our visit to Boston! From the staff to the food, everything was amazing! The food was among some of the freshest I've ever had! And the staff beyond helpful and kind. A must stop while in Boston!

The food was excellent overall. I enjoyed my spaghetti and meatballs. My family got some fish dishes which they also enjoyed. For appetizers, the caesar salad was good but the arancini didn’t have a red sauce so it felt like it was missing something. The biggest issue was the service. We were sitting at the table for over 10 minutes and had to flag someone over to take our order. Nobody ever checked on us, refilled water, or brought Parmesan cheese over. Every time we wanted something, we had to work to get a server’s attention. The food was great, but we would maybe get takeout next time or come when it’s less busy. Also, the pesto with the bread was amazing, but they barely even gave a teaspoon of it.

This is a jewel. The servers, the owner and the staff are amazing. The food and drinks are next level. The chicken Parmesan is huge. I couldn’t eat half of it. The staff promised to give it to a person in need. ❤️ These are great humans!!! Please visit this restaurant if you are in Boston.

Stumbled across the little gem and so glad we did. Ivan, our server provided exceptional service making great suggestions and very attentive. The braised octopus was outstanding and the 7 Spice brick chicken was one of the most moist and tender dishes I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this cozy and inviting restaurant.

Without a doubt, the best Italian food and dining experience I’ve ever had. For starters, we had a bigger group. Aquapazza is a smaller restaurant and they were more than happy to accommodate our big group. THE FOOD- Absolutely delicious. Everything came out hot and fresh. From the pasta and the gnocchi, to the deconstructed tiramisu, all homemade and delicious! Our favorites were the chicken parmesan and cacio de Pepe. THE SERVICE- Without a question, THE BEST SERVICE I’VE EVER HAD. I have never met a group of employees that care about their customers more than they do at this restaurant. Our server, Allen, provided amazing table side service. He was Incredibly professional and personable. The manager, Giovanni, made sure we were all well taken care of and asked us multiple times if we had everything we needed. Lastly, the host, Bethany, was super awesome!! She talked to us for 20-30 min about some of the history in the area as well as more information about the restaurant in general. Overall, if you want to have great food with employees that go above and beyond for their customers, this is the place. Aquapazza is a must when visiting Boston!!

This place is great. Came here on a date after work because another oyster spot was packed. So we came here and sat at the bar , me and the boyfriend got the half seafood tower and it was delicious and the price is justified. The lobster and king crab were sweet with seafood flavor. The oysters were clean and sweet as well the typical sauces were good as well and very clean. We ordered another dozen oysters and got the short ribs and polenta and was very good, meat was seasoned to the center. Also got the deconstructed tiramisu and that was great as well. For the service, we sat at the bar and the bar tender was nice . The food didn’t come out wicked fast like a fast food joint, but came out at the right time and was great. After a long day at work I don’t mind a little time and space to chit chat with my company. We had a great two hour meal and didn’t feel rushed at all. It was also a busy summer night in Boston which is due to tourists so don’t expect empty restaurants. But overall a great place I’d highly recommend.

Stopped here for lunch one random day in May. It was so good. The ricotta here is so light and delicious, and the pasta is really well made. It didn't take too long- but there also wasn't really anybody else there. Since we went in May we sat outside and it was just generally a great place. A little pricey but worth it.

The food was amazing. The Raw bar, beef carpaccio, Halibut everything 5 stars. Service was 1-star at best. Everything felt very rushed, and felt like they packed wayy too many tables into a small room.

Ordered lots of appetizers, all of which were delicious. For entrees, we had the fresh arata, seafood risotto, meatballs, and broccoli rabe. Delicious as well. We sat outside. The night was beautiful.

Update Oct 2021 Went back for their charcuterie board and it did not disappoint Also the chocolate mouse was delicious (my preference over the constructed tiramisu) Definitely on the more pricy end in the North End You do get white table cloth if that is what you are looking for I had dinner with a friend and we split an appetizer a main and a dessert and is was more than enough Starter charcuterie board Main pasta with ragout (picture is only half size portion) Dessert tiramisu

I went here for my anniversary dinner a couple months ago, and I still couldn’t forget how much I love their clam pasta. You will be surprised that not many places in the north end actually serve clam pasta, not to mention that not all of the places have good ones. I was sad because they crossed temporary in the beginning of this year… but it’s back to business and I can’t wait to visit again.

Great place with even better service. Oyster bar had a nice variety and mix that with authentic Italian and it was great. Would definitely recommend.

Small restaurant nice & cozy. We got the 1/2 Seafood tower it was pretty fresh; their signature dish Aqua Pazza was not so impressive; Wagyu burger worth a try!

Delicious Italian food and great service! We came with a party of 5 when we accidentally booked it for 2 but they were accommodating. I appreciate it! I recommend everything on the menu as we each ordered different entrees and all of them were amazingly good. If ever I’m in Boston again, I would come back. Highly recommend this place!
