Really pretty place. Good vibes and decent food. Ambience : the inside was super pretty with brick pizza oven on display and great artwork. However the outside made me feel like I'm in a beautiful garden even though we were in the middle of the Hanover street. Food: the pizza was alright. We ordered a vegetarian pizza with cheese and requested for marinara sauce base. However, I think our server misheard so it was a plain base. Due to which the pizza was bland. We then requested marinara sauce which made all the difference. Service: apart from the small misunderstanding, the service was really good! Everything was served in a timely manner. Polite server! There were reasonable number of vegetarian options in the menu so I like to give it 3/5 veggie rating! All in all a good experience here!

I’m so impressed with the quality of food and service! Super friendly and helpful staff. We ordered here because we wanted wood fired pizza and this place exceeded our expectations! The pizza toppings were super flavorful and great quality.

I highly recommend them as the best Italian in Boston. Tomato, basil and mozzarella, each ingredient produced excellent flavor and also blended nicely. I rarely choose to go to Italian restaurants in general because they are typically so heavy and taste too strong (e.g salty, oily, too strong cheese…). Antico Forno is not. We had an excellent experience and we were very happy. This must be the true, southern Italian food!

Yummy food in North End! My son got the lobster ravioli and enjoyed it so much. I got the lasagna- homemade noodles and sauce was second only to my dishes in Italy! The atmosphere is busy, exciting, and a bit loud. The staff are knowledgeable and efficient. I recommend making reservations as it was very busy.

This restaurant IS Wonderful! The food is really and truly delicious. The staff and atmosphere were great. We ate in and came back later for take out. The pasta and sauce were fresh and decadent. The pizza was great when it was hot and the leftovers still good the next morning, cold. That's when you know it's good stuff!!

Rustic Italian dishes, delicious wines, tempting dessert menu await! Great selection of brick oven pizzas and pastas. Excellent entrees with variety for dietary preferences. Larger dinning room is good for groups in the North End. Reservations are recommended for weekends and busy evenings. A true classic!

I was looking for having dinner here and one friend recommended it to me but it was really disappointing. The food was mediocre: the pizza's ingredients tasted well but it was burnt, the pasta didn't taste as handmade. The price was average for an Italian restaurant in Boston I guess (around 40 usd per person with wine without dessert). Our waitress was not kind and gave us the recipe twice despite we told her that we hadn't finished our food.

It was fine. Nothing special 🤷🏼‍♀️ I got the dish with rigatoni and sausage and ricotta. I thought our waiter had told me that the rigatoni was made in-house but it definitely wasn’t. My husband’s bolognese was really yummy with homemade noodles.

We ordered pizza and pasta for take out. Pizzas were tasty with prosciutto and veggies, a classic margarita and an original pistachio pesto with sausage. Would order pizzas again! We also ordered a carbonara with huge chunks of lardons- wouldn’t recommend unless chewing on fat is what you’re after!

Went for a casual dinner on a Thursday night - service was slow and food was just okay. Got the white sangria and calamari to start, then a seafood risotto and a gnocchi dish. Very few pieces of seafood in the risotto and calamari was average. I've heard from others that they had a great experience here so maybe just an off night for us, but not sure we will try again.

Great food in the north end, pizzas were very good. Definitely not the very best we have ever had, but a great spot to check out! Would recommend if you are looking for nice Italian in the north end. The rolled eggplant ricotta was a star.

Wow wow wow. I almost always feel sick when I eat Alfredo but I love it so I still order it every once in a great while. This is the first time I’ve eaten Alfredo and not felt sick afterwards. Also the leftovers tasted just as good as fresh, which I thought was unusual for pasta. The chicken was so moist and fell apart easily with the fork. Highly recommend a stop here. The food is quality. The service is phenomenal. It’s very cozy and cute inside.

You have a LOT of choices to visit in this area. No doubt others will be a little better. However, the food was great, and decently priced. Wine was also at a good price point. $55 for Super Tuscan which is a favorite. Service was fast, despite it being constantly crowded. It never slows down. You will need a reservation for anywhere you want to go in the North End. The only thing was that it was very loud. Go for the food and experience, not the noise.

Went here because it's one of the few places in the North End with vegan options and I wanted to splurge for my birthday. Everything was quite delicious, even if the options were fairly small, the portions were good. I sat at the bar and the staff was polite and attentive. The atmosphere was quaint and warm, the crowd skewed older and/or families. I had the meatball starter (very yummy, the sauce is fresh tasting and not acidic, the fennel in the meatballs is a touch I love that a lot of places skip) Veggie Ravioli were very good, nice mix of veggies in and out of the pasta. Satisfying but not too heavy in that same delicious sauce. The one thing I really wish was that they rounded out the experience with vegan dessert & coffee options (no I don't mean gelato). Even if it was just one rotating cake selection and some oat milk for an after dinner cappuccino. I had to go searching the streets for something after (not easy as no one in the North End has ever heard of oat/soy milk in their life, you would think) would have been nice to stay in one place. Overall very good for a satiating special splurge (on my budget) or perfect spot for a date or family dinner out.

It is authentic Italian cuisine. Very tasty and excellent size. We have plenty of succulent and different tastes. We ate for three pers with pasta and pizza/ wine and beer for about 100$. We will come back without hesitation!! Atmosphere was busy in the evening with windows opened but that’s give us the opportunity to share food and have great discussion without the feeling of hurting someone at other tables. We were looking for an Italian restaurant and we found the best!

Pretty decent selection of clearly labeled vegan options for an Italian place. The spaghetti was super flavorful and I also enjoyed the vegan polpettes. However, even though I made a reservation on yelp, I’m not sure if it was honored as we waited at the bar for a very time long time before being sat down, though perhaps it was just because restaurant was very busy, as the place was packed and super loud.

I chose not to send the burnt lasagna primavera back to the kitchen. Whatever was edible was enough of a portion for dinner. I did ask the server to let the chef know. The chef was of and the sous chef related her apologies via the server. The lasagna Bolognese my partner ordered was delicious.

Outstanding. I am a vegan x 21 years - the food brought me back to my Sicilian grandmother’s cooking in Queens. The staff and the atmosphere are fantastically one of a kind.

We had a quick 3 day work trip. A lot of our employees were new to Boston and the North End. Antico Forno was the perfect spot for our 30 person group! We had a set menu that tailored to everyone. The dessert was magical, nutella pizza!

Y U M M Y !!!!! Top notch in Italian food. We enjoyed ourselves- great place for a date. The architecture was so pretty which make the place more magical. 💫 The restaurant was too crowded, but this is the only bad comment I have.

Our first visit into the city in a few years and really wanted a North Boston real Italian restaurant. We were directed to Antico Forno and it was crazy busy and very overcrowded. The food was excellent, service was not bad, but so loud that you couldn’t possibly have a conversation. Very difficult to even walk to the bathroom then stand in line to wait to use it. Kind of disappointing and not recommended if you’re looking for a quiet old school Italian experience. I had the lobster ravioli and it was fantastic. I don’t like sweet drinks and your only choice is to order exactly what’s on the drink menu without any changes due to their limited liquor license. I had a draft beer which was flat and stale. That was very disappointing.

The Antipasto Traditionale was amazing. The variety of Italian meats was excellent and they melted in my mouth. The Margherita Pizza was very good. The sauce was smooth and the crust was the right balance of crunch and chewiness. The Linguine al Frutti De Mare was filled with plenty of Calamari, Mussels, Shrimp and Clams. The Calamari was cooked perfectly. It was tender and not chewy. I would definitely visit here again.

We came to the North End to spend the whole day walking this beautiful area. This place offers excellent attention as well as authentic Italian pizza. We ordered the Calzone and Vesuvio and they were above expectations. Definitely recommended. Thank you!

Had the best dinner because of our server, Marco! Marco gave us some great advice on feed and Italian pairing wine, made our dinner so awesome! He is outstanding and always checking on us. The host and hostage are also very welcome when we walked in for a table. Highest recommendation for great service and great good. The mussels were so delicious, then the truffle pizza and seafood pasta!

Amazing. Everything we ate and drank was phenomenal. I had the risotto and my partner had linguine with seafood that was finished in a brick oven. Just all in all great meal

AMAZING FOOD. AMAZING SERVICE. Visited this place with family and we had a great experience. Really enjoyed the Lasagna Bolognese, the Arancini (spectacular), lobster ravioli, and the chicken Parm. Topped it off with a huge piece of Tiramisu. Our server, Dana, was the nicest!! Thank you for a wonderful evening. Next time we're in Boston we will visit again. Highly recommend!

Average Italian food. Not the best and not the worst. A bit on the pricey side. Fried calamari was perfect - perfectly lightly fried and not overdone. Lobster ravioli was good as well. Wife's shrimp were terribly dry. The drink menu needs a little work, staple things like Gray Goose vodka or Remy cognac were not available. And unfortunately only two bathrooms, which means you are likely to wait to get in in line as the place holds a lot of people. I would give this place four stars if the drink menu was improved and bathrooms were cleaner. I expect more at this price point. [Edit] the price point is actually not bad - I made a mistake on the original review because I looked at the check before it was split before two couples.

Came in for just pizza. Was craving a bite of pizza and this location was packed and smelled amazing. All the walls are brick and the location is fairly dark. The pizza came out pretty quickly, but unfortunately it was burned completely on one end. We had to leave the burned slices because they were terribly burned. The coffees were beautiful by presentation but not the best we've had in Boston. This rating is strictly on their pizza and espresso's that we ordered. If we ever visit Boston again we may consider returning for pasta dishes.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal on a special occasion for our family - and were made to feel part of THEIR family. Just a really special spot for incredible pizza (top 5 for me in my lifetime) in the middle of the North End. Fast, friendly service and a nice outdoor seating area perfect for a gorgeous summer evening. We will be back.

One of the best meals we’ve had in North End, Boston (Little Italy). Great food, amazing indoor and outdoor sitting area, drinks, and staff. Will definitely revisit.

Fresh, flavorful, authentic Italian food. My wife and I have been to Italy and this is as good or better than anything there. It is always a treat when we visit Boston. It deserves higher than five stars.

Top 10 Italian restaurant in the world? All the food we had lived up to that! Great outdoor seating in a quieter side street of Boston. Great appetizers, awesome drinks and delicious meals. Wood pizza oven made for some great pizza crust!
