absolutely delicious. the food took a bit to come out but the wait was well worth it. the menu is huge and accommodating to all diet types (many types of GF pasta, vegetarian options, etc.). we got the charcuterie board which was a nice appetizer to share with the table. you could mix and match sauces with a variety of pasta shapes. the gnocchi with marinara was out of this world.

This is hands down our favorite dinner restaurant in Boston. When we've visit, this is our go to place. This time we were on the second floor near a window and it was nice. Our server was fantastic and actually family member of the owners he said. Pro Tip: Order one dish for two people. If you really want to try two dishes, order both to be served but half of each dish to be put to go. The wine selection is superb here! Save room for dessert because their vanilla custard cannoli is amazing and better than any bakery in the area. You can skip appetizers and simply eat the breads because of the portions of the entrees. We have such a great time every time we visit this restaurant and recommend it to EVERYONE who asks us where they should eat dinner when in the area. Ready to return here anytime!

Food was good, quantities were good as well. But be aware, they have a per plate policy in which they count everyone in the party, including kids and excluding small babies. Which means you have to order 7 plates appetizer/entree/pizza(counted 2)/dessert if there are 7 kids/adult in the party. They have space for bigger groups.

This is a very busy, popular Italian Ristorante. The place is alive with action, the vocal volume can get way up there. Customers are well dressed and affluent. Our service was handled by a solid team of Lead, Assist and Busser. It was attentive, informative but most of all unobtrusive. Except when explaining the menu and specials then it was full blown Italian demonstrative!! The Food was classic, with delicious sauces and pasta. The portions were large and sides served separately. I enjoyed every minute and our guests had a great evening. Thank you, a place I suggest you make reservations in order not to be seated for a while.

Do yourselves a favor and come here! The portions are HUGE, you get your money’s worth in my opinion. The food is DELICIOUS, literally, if we could go back we would. Pizza was delicious. The pasta was good. The GF bread is actually just a cheese pizza(not like we cared we love pizza). It was very safe in my opinion, the staff was knowledgeable because I asked for clarification on some dishes and they thoroughly explained. Would go again for sure.

Kind of a harsh review, but I’ll start with the good: service, atmosphere, and the quality of the pasta itself. Servers were attentive, food came quickly, everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was very cute. La Famiglia Giorgio’s gets 3 stars from me though because the pasta dishes themselves were…not great. Flavors were kind of bland, the Little Al’s vodka sauce had a consistency more like Velveeta and the flavor of Queso than any vodka sauce I’ve encountered. The carbonara had no pepper, no identifiable egg or cheese, and was runny - cream was certainly used instead of richer traditional ingredients, and the ham was cubed and thick rather than crunchy and thin. Portions were absolutely enormous, which in some cases is a positive, but when you’re compelled to finish your food, there’s no chance you leave feeling good. Prices were on the higher side in my opinion, which is justified in portion size only, not in quality.

With all the Italian choices, it took me a while to narrow it down and decide on this restaurant. I was not disappointed! Called day off to see if they were taking reservations, they were not. But we were able to walk in at 5pm on a Sunday (in January) and get a table for 2! I am gluten free, they had gluten free cheesey garlic bread! The GF pasta was SO GOOD. The prices are also reasonable and the food portions are a good size.

Shrimp cocktail was simply boring. The bread was stale and hard. Pasta had generous portions, however, the overall experience was mediocre, at best.

They were full on Saturday night - thankfully we had made reservations 4 weeks ahead. Huge portions, good food. I wish they didn’t have a policy to order one entree per person- as we aren’t big eaters. Overall a good experience.

Went here tonight due to their fresh pasta and sauce — I know you can’t throw a rock in the North End without hitting an Italian restaurant, but go here. Please go here. The food was OUTSTANDING. Fresh bread and oil, fresh pastas and sauces. Great atmosphere, and we even got the table by the window. On a Friday night. No reservations and only a 15 min wait. You’ll be happy you went.

AMAZING pizza and great salads! We went here recently for the first time and will definitely be going back. We enjoyed the tomato and mozzarella salad as well as the salad with bleu cheese and walnuts. Very generous portion size on the bleu cheese salad. For pizza, we got a pepperoni pizza and a meatball pizza with some type of cheese. The pepperoni was delicious, but the meatball was truly excellent. That one was the better of the two.

La Famiglia Giorgio’s Italian Restaurant located at 112 Salem St, Boston, MA 02113 is a great Italian Restaurant in Boston. Very welcoming and friendly staff/servers who try really hard to make it a great meal experience. The food is superb! Tomato Sauce that is so delicious - freshly made. And they are extremely generous with the sauce. I got the chicken Parm which was 2 huge pieces of breaded chicken covered by cheese and sauce. Comes with Pasta. Their Pizza is also great! This wasn’t my first time here, nor will be my last. I flew in today and this was my Dinner in Boston.

Great food and portions. It's reasonably priced for what you get. There are a lot of vegan sauce options if you don't get the homemade pasta or breaded eggplant. They were kind enough to advise on what had cheese/eggs.

Absolutely amazing fresh, the best Italian restaurant I have been to in a long time. After flying in from Europe to Boston we had dinner at La Famiglia in Bostons North End, The staff treats you like family and the service is the best! La Famiglia goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy and have a wonderful dining experience. We even had a guest whom was gluten-free and the gluten-free free pasta was incredible! I don't have enough words to express how happy we are were with the food and service! Bravo! La Famiglia, we will be back 🙌🏻❤️🇮🇹🇮🇹

Absolutely fantastic! The food, the service and the ambiance immediately transports you to Italy. The portions were enormous. Had enough leftovers for two extra meals at home. The fresh, tricolored tortellini, meatballs and spicy marinara were as good as they come. Thank you for a great experience!!!

The food is FANTASTIC! The bread they bring to the table is so fresh. The marinara sauce might be the BEST I’ve ever tasted. The servings are huge, so you’ll definitely have leftovers. Who doesn’t love leftovers? The eggplant parmigiana was so darn good. If I could give a higher rating, I would. This is a must have if you love good food.

So many gluten free options!! We came here for dinner on a Saturday night-- highly recommend reservations as the wait was an hour at 6pm. We had a wonderful bottle of sauvignon blanc from Italy for $40. Also a gluten free flatbread before dinner. Note that the restaurant is family style and the portions are HUGE! My friend and I wished we had split an entree even with the $7 split plate fee. Overall,a wonderfully experience. We loved the ambience of the upstairs room

My hubby and I stumbled on this place in 2015 when we were dating. In 2016, he took me here after he proposed to me. In 2017, before our wedding, he brought all his friends who had traveled down to enjoy dinner before the event. It has been a part of our most beautiful memories. The portions are beyond generous, and delectable!!! I’m also gluten-free, and there are so many delicious options. I also highly suggest the gluten-free garlic bread dipped in the olive oil mix, it’s divine!! They can be a little cheeky if you show up before they open. Even 5 min before they open. They know they’re good and can do that lol. But once inside, the service and food is well worth the wait. From our family to yours, thank you La Famiglia! Until next time.

Cozy Italian restaurant in North End. Portion sizes are really large. Service wasn’t bad and bread w extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) was delicious. Fried Calamari: the breading was light and not too salty. Perfect appetizer! Chicken Primavera w/ Pesto Alfredo Sauce and Tri color Tortellini: pasta was amazing. Highly recommend the Matriciana Sauce—it was fresh, savory with a slight spiciness to it that made it very yummy.

The food was amazing! Big portions, so we happily could take leftovers home which we are all excited to eat tomorrow for lunch. Very nice staff! Our waitress Michelle was great and Justin is just lovely! We will soon return. Lovely greetings, Dani/Kenna/Jasmin

So freaking good; the food, the bread, the flavored olive oil. Large portions so definitely not for people with small stomachs. I don't remember how much bread I ate but it was a lot and it was delicious and I don't regret it at all, especially with that olive oil. Perfection. Great service as well!

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food here. The prices were among the best in the North End but the quality didn’t suffer. Huge portions! I strongly recommend getting one of there house made pastas with your dish for just a few dollars more. The staff and service were great. We really enjoyed this restaurant.

Overall experience was good but there are better restaurants in the Italian district in Boston. Much better. When we came in the building it smelled like a wet rag… The restaurant wasn’t that busy but we waited about 30 minutes to place and order. After that everything went smoothly and quickly. The fried calamaris were amazing and it was a really big portion, a full meal! We had The Big Fig pizza which was really good, definitely sweet and there was a lot of honey and scallops. The Pink Vodka sauce Pasta was okay, it was plain sauce that you could say was homemade and good but something was missing in the taste.

Had the BEST experience here a month ago. Every dish that we ordered was some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. Our waiter was the best and it’s such a nice calm atmosphere. We had the best time, the best food, and got so full on amazing appetizers we could barely touch our main 😅 the watermelon feta salad was a special but quite literally the best dish I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommend the lasagna with bolognese or the gnocchi in pink sauce (I can’t remember the name but it was someone’s special or favorite on the menu…mikes? Idk lol) this tiramisu was the BEST I’ve ever had. Strongly recommend ordering.

favorite place in the north end. a gluten free person’s dream restaurant i promise you. sauces are made from scratch so you can tailor everything to your dietary needs. menu is so expansive and i’ve tried different dishes and can’t get bored. i usually come for lunch on a weekend or an early dinner to avoid the potential 2-hour wait for regular dinner time. but if you have the time then come put your name down and just chill in the north end til they call you. so worth it.

This place was incredible, homemade pasta was delicious. Chicken was a bit tougher than I prefer. However, I don’t appreciate being nickel & dimed… they charge for soda water and extra for pasta. I dislike things where you have no choice or there’s no notification ahead of time for something that should be built in the price or free?

I have a gluten allergy, and this is genuinely the happiest I’ve ever been eating anything before my allergy developed. This restaurant is so authentic and almost everything on the menu can be made gluten free. Michelle (our server) took great care of us from the start. They make gluten free pasta in house. My pasta was the most delicious meal I’ve had in years. This is an absolute must for anyone with a gluten allergy. I will be returning as soon as possible.

Good Italian restaurant with decent food and big portions. Be wary of reservations as they won't accept your party unless everyone is present and there's only a ten minute grace period if people are late. Fortunately, they were able to take us in a bit later due to some folks showing up late in our party of 7.

LFG has an amazing homey atmosphere that feels welcoming and warm. The staff are friendly and the food is unbeatable for the flavor, price, and quantity. Seriously, you will struggle to eat a full plate of the Chicken Parm or Lil-Al's Favorite, but the food tastes so good that it is almost impossible to stop eating at the same time. (Highly recommend anything with their gnocchi).

Wow we loved this place wow! Amazing service and amazing food. The haddock margarita was perfect and went well the the fresh fettuccini. My wife got the tri-colored tortellini with grilled calamari and what a great tasting dish. The Caesar side salad was the best I have ever had with leaves so tender and delicious. We will always eat here when we are in Boston. It was very very good. Thank you to all who work here for a great evening.

My wife and I have been on a North End rip. We try a different place every week. We are 10 restaurants into it and this place is on top by far. We had crostini (toasted points with burrata, priscuito tomato, n balsamic), lobster ravioli app (6) and mozzarella moons for apps. My wife n I got the bambino with different sauces and it was Awsome. Deserts also great chocolate lava cake.

An Italian family restaurant in the north side of Boston. We were lucky enough to get a table. The service was prompt and courteous. The food was prepared as if for royalty. Portion sizes were more than adequate. I didn't think I was hungry enough to eat it all, but my mouth was joyful with every bite. As we left, there was a line out the door waiting to get in. On a Monday night! Just go out of your way to find this place and enjoy it.

Holy cannoli this place is amazing! What a superb meal. Pumpkin ravioli for apps. Veal parmigiano combo (eggplant and veal together) for me and veal piccata for hubby, cheesecake and Italian coffee for dessert. A. Ma. Zing. Wait staff and the owner were very friendly. We would love to come back some day!
