This place provides awesome breakfast 🍳 and their pancakes 🥞 are really super. The seating area is small and it’s very crowded. The staff was charm and provided excellent service and the food came really fast.

Looking for a breakfast spot that wouldn't kill the wallet. My husband found this place and I am so glad he did! The food is excellent and priced VERY reasonable. I had the Capital Breakfast special with ham, eggs, pancakes, and hasbrowns. Those pancakes were so fluffy! Its a small spot but worth visiting for a quick breakfast/lunch.

Local, no frills spot. Basic food and coffee, but concerning sanitation standards. Everyone wears gloves, but no one changes them. Today for example, the cook, who I was told is also the owner, used the same gloves to clean surfaces around the kitchen, wash dishes, cook, and scratch his face (twice while I was there). He also picked off several pieces of bacon with his fingers to snack l on them while he also uses his had to flip eggs. My vegetarian omelette also 4 pieces of ham in it.

The spot is interesting and there are some characters working there, great location, but the coffee isn't good and the service is quite bad. The type of spot where you can order whatever you want for breakfast within reason and they will make it, but it will be mediocre. Not the worst place you could end up, still prefer this to a chain.

Clean establishment and polite employees. Great location across from Massachusetts State House. Delicious hot caramel latte; perfect for my walk as I went sightseeing.

This little place is nice. One way they could drastically improve is to put the food on real plates with real silverware. This is inside a building with a very cool history, it is across the street from the state house. I understand people try to save money, but for the people dining in, they need to have something of substance. I felt like I was camping using those cheap little plastic utensils.

This is a wonderful little spot, with great food and friendly staff. The atmosphere is nice on a quiet morning, though be prepared for disposable dishware/cutlery, that's charming too. It wasn't very busy around 7:30am, nice place to stop for a wonderful breakfast. The pancakes had a lovely texture, and the potatoes were crispy even if they might not look it!

Perfect place for breakfast. Super authentic including the old boys at the grill arguing with each other in a mix of Italian and English - but super polite and friendly to the customers - local or visitors. Pancakes are amazing and everything is reasonably priced. And for tourists, a great view of the State House.

Great little place right across the street from the State House. No frills (paper plates, etc) but good food at fair prices. We had breakfast which was very good. Someone seated near us had a sandwich that looked fabulous.

Beautiful architecture and showcase windows are classic. Especially the lettering above windows... gorgeous.

My wife and I were in town walking around looking for a place to have breakfast. We stumbled across this place and boy am I glad we did! We love Boston and we're big Red Sox fans in town for the Yankees series but we've only been to the more "touristy" places to eat. This place is straight up local! And man was the vibe cool! Simple breakfast food but it was really good and the hospitality was great and it was fun people watching and drinking in the local vibe.

Small place with single seating only. The omelet I ordered came with like 5 or 6 home fries, so I didn't like that. But the blueberry pancakes were awesome. I went back 3 or 4 days in a row for the pancakes. Plenty of blueberries, light and fluffy batter - just right. I got a ham and swiss(?) panini that was good, too. They seem like they have their regulars and they have a good relationship with them, but I personally didn't get that "welcome" vibe that I like when I go out. As I left I thanked them but didn't hear any response. That's not the kind of customer service I like, but hey, it's Boston, and it seems that's typical of my experience out here. I'm getting used to it a little more, but I still look for a little more friendliness. That goes a long way with me. The man who takes the orders seems to know the job pretty well, which is always helpful. I'm not putting these guys down, it's just my experience and my preference. The pancakes are definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a quick pop in before work or something. They'll take care of ya and you'll be happy with the order. I say check 'em out.

Super delicious coffee, the staff are nice and remember their regulars. I believe the food is priced extremely fair as well and it's a nice place to stop and get breakfast for a good price

Yesterday we had a great experience making our stop at the Capitol coffee house. The food was quick and yummy. My daughter loved the plain omelet. We loved the view and the warm company of the staff. We highly recommend this place. Thank you.

A relaxed/comfortable coffee shop with great Lattes next to the Capitol building. Very nice people behind the counter. The place has an old world feel.

Who knew there is a place that serves diner food near the capital during lunch hours?? Met up with a friend here. Wasn't too busy but they were efficient. Nothing fancy at all... Plastic utensils and paper plates. 😁 I got the plate with a couple eggs, bacon, home fries and pancakes. All the savory stuff I could have at home but the pancakes were the star of the show. A little bit crispy on the edges and the middle was fluffy. The prices were more than reasonable considering their location. I enjoy the simpleness. Can't wait to tell other folks about this place!

Nice place to have a quick American breakfast. The portions are just right and the price is not bad. Spent $24 for a ham&cheese omelet, pancakes, capuchino and a black coffee.

THE BEST VANILLA CHAI LATTE ever. Spiced with an aftertaste of a yummy oatmeal cookie. Came here for a bite after having court nearby. Very friendly people and my food came out quickly and was delicious! Skip the cookies on the counter, though, they’re kind of chalky. PS, not that it matters, but it was heartwarming to see an employee with a disability, very wholesome italianos!

Great spot for a traditional diner breakfast. This was our last stop in Boston on our way to the airport.
