This was great! We went on the freedom trail tour with Isaiah Thomas last weekend. My husband and I actually missed the first tour we were trying to attend and went to the next one with Isaiah and we are happy we did! He was a great guide and so funny. It was our first time in Boston and this tour was a great way to get to learn the history of Boston. This was a fun and entertaining 90min tour. This was throughly enjoyed.

Went on a walking tour with our guide "Nathaniel Hutchins" AKA Matthew. He was informative, friendly, and funny. Well worth the price of admission. The walk was not long at all but packed in a ton of information for the 1.5 hour tour.

My brother and I enjoyed the FT tour with Issaiah Thomas this afternoon! It was windy and cold but he kept us entertained and absorbed in Boston history the whole time! We were sad for it to end but grateful we decided to spend the 16 dollars on this wonderful trip through time!

Ben Soloway as Dr. Byles led an amazing tour on the Freedom Trail. He was engaging and the history stories were interesting. Thank you for a fun morning! Our kids ages 12 and 14 also enjoyed it. Our 12 year old was fresh out of the required American History class so the timing was perfect.

We had an exceptional tour with Isaiah Thomas. His narration was informative, interesting, and very entertaining. Remarkable details and really gave you a sense of the city and the people who populated it. Highly recommended.

Amazing! It is worth it! Imagine walking in the streets that some of the most famous Americans once walked and seeing the same places that they saw!

This was absolutely fantastic. The guide "SAMUEL PRESCOTT" was funny and very informative and was great with kids. I would do this again in a heartbeat. Make sure to go have a cold Samuel Adams (beer) while looking at a cold Samuel Adams (grave)! (GROAN)

Wear comfortable shoes!! I can not stress this enough. You will ne doing a lot of walking and be able to see so much a historic downtown Boston. It takes you right through little Italy to get to Paul Revere's home. If you are into history. This something to do while in Boston!

The best option to explore the city by its own. You can take a map in any Tourist Information point and follow Red or Blue line! Be sure that you will not miss any important sightseengs. Very smart idea!!!

If you are going to Boston, this tour should be at the top of your list. We liked it so much on our first trip, we did it again on our second and I am sure we will do it again. There is just so much information and it is so interesting. I highly recommend this tour.

This was very cool! We downloaded the Action Tour guide app and it gave an audio guide via GPS as we walked along. We actually did the walk over 2 days- the first day starting at Boston commons to the old north church. The second day we started at the USS Constitution Bunker Hill and worked backwards. That way we were never too far from the vehicle.

Enjoyable walk through Boston. Freedom Trail is marked with a red brick line on the sidewalk. Easy to follow.

Do yourself a favor and make sure you take a tour from "Phillis Wheatley." She is knowledgeable about history from the standpoint of someone who actually studied American History in grad school, and isn't regurgitating the dumbed-down, largely misleading, "history" taught in grade school. She is intelligent, witty, and doesn't shy away from commentary that challenges the status quo. She is the most engaging and knowledgeable tour guide I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. She is hysterical, and makes American History accessible for people who don't fit the "white conservative male" mold--you know, the people our history books were written for.

We did a tour booked with other people from the public. About an hour and a half of guided tour. Our guide was Michael S dressed in a revolutionary war red coat uniform. He was excellent! He was informative and funny and made good connections. Worth the money. Most of the tour was in the shade. If you are looking at seeing specific sites in detail you will have to do that on your own.

I took the Walk into History Tour that started at the Boston Common Visitor's Center, and am so glad I did! Our guide John from Salem was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and brought all of the historic sites to life. I was sad when it was over! He was able to answer every question that was asked, and was willing to offer advice and assistance for the rest of our day at the end of the tour. You would be hard-pressed to get as much out of just walking the Freedom Trail on your own. This was my first trip to Boston, and this was the perfect tour to introduce me to the city. I loved it so much that I will take the tour again the next time I visit!!!

Our tour guide, Dr. Joseph Warren was FANTASTIC! He kept the tour engaging and was not boring at all, which is really important since the tour is about 90 mins long. He was very informative and cracked a lot of jokes. He answered all our questions and brought the history to life! Highly recommend going on tour w him if you can!

We had an excellent tour guide that made the tour enjoyable, informative, and engaging. The Marquis de Lafayette (aka Miles) did a superb job shepherding our group around the city, imparting interesting historical tidbits of wisdom throughout. Highly recommend.

We walked the entire trail and had the best time. Can't wait to do again. We could have gone to a Sunday morning service at the old north church. Will do it next time.

We had a great walking tour today with Hannah Mather Crocker (Katie). She was loud for all to hear, funny, entertaining and skillful about her subject. Even my 12 year old found this walk interesting, and we learned a lot of American history during the 90 minutes it lasted. Highly recommended!

Great tour! Our group did a private tour with Thomas Hutchinson (aka Mark) and we all agreed that he was one of the best tour guides we have had anywhere. The tour is really interesting and absolutely worth the money to get the most out of the experience. We would all highly recommend both the tour and Mark. Thanks for a great afternoon

Our tour guide Lizzie Short (Mercy Otis Warren) was a superb tour guide who gave us a very thorough and enthusiastic guide despite the strong winds and cold weather. Injected with her own style of jokes and tons of rich, interesting stories (from Boston Massacre to building of the Kings Chapel to the Boston Tea Party, with a great amount of detail) studded with exact dates, we had a great informative tour that made me appreciate the places I walk past much more. Great guided tour!

Greetings! My family & I attended the Freedom Trail tour today with Jeremiah Poope. He was an excellent tour guide who displayed not only his knowledge of historic Boston but also some well-needed humor to boot! He kept his audience engaged the entire 1 1/2 hours. As a history & English buff myself, I truly appreciated his depth of wisdom on the history of this nation. Thank you Jeremiah!

So the trail is worth following for many reasons. The history. The current neighborhoods. Different POV of Boston. Sometimes the path is blocked due to construction or church closures. Othertimes the markings disappear- keeps you on your toes. Ends with a climb up the monument at Bunker Hill. Wow. The worst thing about this trail is all the fabulous outdoor eateries along the way especially little Italy. Just do it please. We have much to learn from our past.

My mom and I went on the Public Lantern Tour the weekend before Halloween. "Nathaniel Hutchins" aka Matthew was our tour guide. We didn't really know what to expect going in to the tour, but we had a BLAST. Matthew did a great job getting the crowd fired up about historical events and navigated the big city distractions very well. Plus, he was really funny. I learned way more than I thought I would and we left feeling excited to learn more about the city. I would recommend it to anyone. It's well worth it.

Probably one of the BEST tour guides you'll have in Boston, Emma [AKA Lydia Mulliken] hit it out of the park. Emma engaged children and adults with funny stories, recaps of history and inspirational participation. It was a great start to my short stay in Boston and I was encouraged to see more historical sites. Highly recommend the Freedom Trail walking tours for family, friends and students.

We did the Walk into History tour with Ryan as our guide. He did a great job adjusting to tough circumstances—the Bernie rally was the same day and it was very cold out. He was very funny engaging and knowledgeable.

Follow the tour guides to find out so many historical tidbits that you would not have found yourself if you had read up on Boston and its state. Moving along in a random group or planning a private tour will be as pleasurable since they have so much to tell you, you barely feel like asking questions.

Isaiah Thomas was my class’ tour guide and he was PHENOMENAL (says the words of my teacher and me as well) he was hilarious and as students we learned a lot about the history of Boston!

Went as part of a university group, and was pleased by the intimate nature of the tour. Isaiah Thomas was an excellent and knowledgeable guide and provided great insight into events both current and historical. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city for the first time!

I suggest downloading an app and doing the tour in this way. We started in Boston Common with our app tour and it was an amazing afternoon to stop and grab a lobster roll or a cannoli while continuing on our history tour. This was the highlight of our trip!

My wife and I really enjoyed the Freedom Trail. It is a great way to experience Boston, visit historic sites, and find great places to eat. It is extremely easy to follow the trail.

Freedom Trail is an approximately 2 mile walk through the heart of Boston. For the history buff, there's a lot to take in. For everyone else, enjoy the beautiful buildings an architecture. I would highly recommend doing some pre homework on the sites so that you have a better idea of what you're looking at as the descriptor plates don't offer a lot of information. I would also suggest downloading one of the many free apps available. Most of these offer a trial session and require a small payment of maybe $4 or so to access the full application.

Last week I was in Boston and one day I visited Freedom Trail. It is a very exciting route. If you cross this route at night, you will see the charm of Italian restaurants. Other beauties can be seen better during the day. We visited this route in two times of the day and night. The fruit and vegetable market is very exciting in this path.Be sure to visit the Peace Garden and Church.
