There are not enough adjectives for me to describe this park. It was so beautiful, breathtaking stunning. I had no plans to even go through the park, but on my walking path it had me I got lost in there for easily an hour. It’s amazing how it can be right in the middle of the city and cut everything out. It is so meticulously maintained. every plant is so beautiful. Every tree is so properly pruned. If you’re looking for an escape, I would highly recommend walking through the park. It is so peaceful a great spot for a picnic afternoon lunch

If you're a sculptures fan and you're in Boston, might as well go check this one one. It's in the Boston Common. Plenty of history all around. The Common provides a terrific picnic spot and peaceful environs to stroll through. The ideal time to visit would be Spring or Fall. Spring - To enjoy the sun without getting sun burnt. Fall - To enjoy the many colors of the leaves!

We walked around the Boston Public Gardens enjoying the crisp air, birds and beautiful statues. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall the Gardens are always a wonderful place. To me it is such a gift to have green space in the middle of a thriving city.

The equestrian George Washington statue that greets visitors to the Public Garden was created by sculptor Thomas Ball at the “Piano Factory” in nearby Roxbury just off Massachusetts Avenue. Also in the Public Garden is the statue of Charles Sumner along the gallery that follows Boylston Street

This statue and the park is great. I envy the locals who can come here everyday. Lots of benches, trees around for shade. And park is well maintained.

Captain Ahab of Ahab's Adventures adding another Washington statue to his photo collection. The fact that you can enjoy this one from so many great sitting spots in the park is a huge bonus!

One of the interesting things to see at the Boston Public Gardens is the Equestrian Statue of George Washington seen facing the Arlington Street Entrance. This statue was created by local sculptor Thomas Ball and unveiled to the public in 1869. It is an equestrian figure of the American first president in military attire, placed upon a pedestal. It is a nice image of Washington, fairly typical of 19th century statues of military and political leaders. Have a quick look before making your way to other interesting monument in the gardens such as the attractive Ether Fountain and the Making Your Way for the Ducks statues northeast of the garden lake.

The Public Garden caretakers regularly swap out seasonal plants so there's almost always something flourishing in the near vicinity to the Washington statue, making it really picturesque. It's proximity to the Commonwealth Avenue promenade makes it the starting point of a long line of statuary, definitely worth a saunter through the Back Bay to enjoy.

Don’t go in February/March. They drain the ponds and there is no snow. Much better to go in dead of summer or dead of winter.

Solid 5/5. It's a statue of George Washington. I once saw someone filming a conspiracy video in front of it and acting like George was on their side. I guess I didn't hear George deny any of it so maybe he was in on it. I dunno. I'll give him a free pass for now. Anyway, it's part of the public gardens. So give the whole place a visit.

Beautiful place, it and the Boston Common and burying ground. I think I prefer our hatless Washington on horseback statue in Union Square New York City but a great statue nonetheless.

Sunday evening at this place could never go wrong, free parking nearby and one of the good places to click the sunset with city-view in Boston. A stroll in the Public Garden will get you going for the next week hustle.
