Milkweed was absolutely incredible! It was my first dining experience on my trip to Boston and man was it awesome! Milkweed had a large and diverse menu. The people at my table got a buffalo chicken burrito, a breakfast platter, a salad, and a muffin! Everything was exceptional! They were extremely busy but the service was great and so was the food! If you go, you must try Holly’s muffin! They feature a different muffin all the time and it is GRILLED!!! It was so delicious! I would return just for the muffin!

I love this place! The only reason I am giving them 4 stars is the wait-time they have . They don't have an option to reserve table earlier, you need to add yourself to waitlist but the waitlist time is not accurate, it keeps changing very frequently and there might be times your table will be ready 20mins earlier or it might take more 30 mins. But they are pretty fast in serving dishes once you are seated. I must tell you, their Falafel shakshuka is yummilicious. We also had their strawberry Nutella French toast and that was good but I have had better ones at other places. I would definitely recommend this place and would go again.

Definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to get a nice affordable meal in this area. My family and I was there the other day, we had a five star experience. The place was clean and had a very nice decor. Also the food was very good. The portions were not take home and save for later, it was just enough to eat and finish at the restaurant. The buffalo chicken mac cheese was delicious!! My squash ravioli was very good, I could of used a little more salt. Our little one loved her fish and chips. The chocolate chip cookie was delicious, it could have had more ice cream for how big the cookie was but I was still very pleased with it. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to any interested and I will be back.

We arrived before 9 am on Friday, and luckily there was no wait. We had a great experience with the good quality food and friendly service! It must have been a super cozy place where everyone hoped to stay longer, however, soon it got so busy and crowded after 10 am that made us feel like we had to leave.. I'll come back earlier next time! *I love the pancake ; ) but everything is good here.

Was positively surprised by the variety of options on the breakfast menu. Everything I got was fresh and well-presented. Highly recommend the shakshouka. We came at a busy hour so it took a little time to be served, but it was worth it.

Large portions, reasonable or low prices! We had the omelette with goat cheese, french toast and scrambled eggs. All tasted really good. Service was prompt. Dividers between tables and outdoor seating too.

Came here for a nice short breakfast and it didn’t disappoint!! The service was great, the food coming out super fast and it was warm and delicious too. I got the chocolate chip pancakes and not only were the three pancakes warm and fresh, they perked me up for my day!

Went for the morning madness and corn beef hash. What a blast! Drink is ok but Food is great. The catch is the long wait. If you want to skip the crazy line, make it a takeout and eat from the park across the street. Skipped almost 2 hours of waiting where you can enjoy the morning, the food and the company.

LOVE milkweed. I live close by and have gone like twice a month ever since discovering. My boyfriend and I love going on brunch dates here - we have never gotten anything we didn’t like. Will def be coming back again and again and again!

Overall I would have to say this place wasn't bad. The food was good (some additional salt was needed) but overall I left full and happy. The only thing I would say the only thing I found annoying was service, seeing by the time my party was seated the restaurant was pretty much empty. Would I go back? Yes it was a chill neighborhood spot.

Food is good. Went twice, once for dinner and ordered a thai salmon, which was good. Breakfast was better. Ordered fruit loaded pancakes. Cannot say it was loaded with fruits but overall it tasted good.

The brunch here is unbeatable. Best French toast and the special Dutch pancake, highly recommend the power bowl. The long line is extremely annoying, but if you can manage ti get a table, the food and the prices are unmatched.

This is a hidden gem about 20 minutes west of downtown. The staff are all super friendly, the food is unique and their coffee was good too. The breakfast greens bowl was really good, but I had high expectations for the lucky charms pancake and it just tasted like a normal pancake with the exception of about 6 little charm mallows. The iced coffee (black) was quite good and comes in a to-go cup just in case you can't finish it during breakfast. When in the mission hill area this is a solid breakfast/brunch place, but I'd recommend getting there earlier (8-9 am) than later because the small space and patio fills up quickly.

This place was terrific! It is one of the best, if not the best, breakfast places I have been to in the Boston area. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the morning madness and it did not disappoint. You may have to skip lunch with such an enormous breakfast option. The potatoes were cooked to crispy perfection and the french toast was deliciously prepared on a thick slice of brioche bread. You could not ask for more. My co-worker got the shakshuka and it was also quite a big portion and very delicious. I would definitely go again and have already recommended the place.

Went for an earlier Saturday breakfast (8:30/9) and when I walked in there were MANY tables open however the host seemed to not want to seat me until all members of my party had arrived. Ultimately he did seat me and the rest of the experience was solid and the good was good. I thought could use a tad bit more seasoning but I would come again.

Be prepared to wait for a table. This restaurant is always packed and for a good reason! The food is absolutely delicious. However, the servers aren’t the friendliest and they often do not check in on you in a timely manner. There is only paid street parking available on the main road. In the inner blocks it’s permit parking only. I highly recommend this restaurant for brunch.

Came on a Thursday morning for breakfast- no wait, got seated immediately. Food came out incredibly fast, wife got the French toast 7 out of 10. I got the morning madness, 7 out of 10. Service was good, friendly staff. Nothing to write home about.

A great selection of food options. I've been here 5 or 6 times now and everything we've tried has been delicious. They also have excellent mixed drinks, beer and wine. Had a mango mojito (see pic) last time and it was so good. A really nice cozy place to enjoy a meal. The service is usually quick and attentive, but otherwise straight to the point and lacking in personality. Definitely worth checking out.

Quaint breakfast and lunch spot with something for everyone. Burgers was juicy and tasty. The salad was fresh and full of goodies from quinoa, beets, guac, carrots and more. Really good. The side of fruits were also fresh and good.

We made reservations and got there for that time. however, when we arrived we were told it would be an additional 40 min due to 5 other parties checking in before us. Once we were finally able told our table was ready the host at the door sat a different party at our table. I will say, beside the initial frustration regarding our reservation and seating the food was good, it presented well and the portion sizes was adequate. We all ordered pomegranate mimosas and each of them looked and tasted differently.

Really nice little restaurant. Cozy atmosphere, delicious food, nice staff. Would definitely go back. I had been craving chocolate chip pancakes and they had them on the menu...so good!

My chicken caesar salad was delicious. I loved the line cilantro grilled chicken and the dressing was tasty. Lettuce was fresh, however the brioche croutons were a little soggy. I’ll be coming back!

This is a top-notch brunch spot: great food, good coffee, good (and usually fast) service, affordable, and with a sweet cafe vibe. I’ve been back several times and tried about half the menu, and everything is good! You can’t go wrong. The french toast and power bowl stand out as favorites.

I came during the middle of the week and it was still a hour or so wait. Which is fine, it was a sunny breezy spring day but I wish I knew prior lol I was hungry. Aesthetically it’s cozy/tight and bright. The menu options is vast, drinks were decent. Food was good the give plenty, staff were attentive as they could be given the busyness.

I came here with a friend in the morning for breakfast. The service was quick and the staff were super nice. It has plenty of good options for breakfast and the side dishes are portioned perfectly. I highly recommend this place for a great breakfast stop and I will go back.

It was a surprisingly nice place. We came here for dinner, they had a breakfast menu, a lunch menu that was available until they close in the evening and a dinner menu. We ordered a loaded tater tots (it had a different name, I don't remember), and I chose the fried chicken sandwich (at this point I'm on a mission to find the best fried chicken sandwich in Boston, I eat it wherever I can) from the lunch menu, my husband eat a shakshuka. We really liked everything: the tots with chicken were amazing; the chicken sandwich had apples, and the sauce tasted really nice, it wasn't dry at all; and the shakshuka was nice too. We will definitely go back for breakfast.

The food here is so great. The French toast is awesome but I like a plate with a little of everything. Hidden little gem.

Great presentation and interesting concept but flavor a bit lacking. I ordered the salmon cakes and it was a bit bland other than the tiny dollop of sauce. The morning glory? breakfast plate tasted better but more standard fare. All in all a nice place to have brunch with friends but not worth it if you have to wait 2 hours for a table.

Highly popular among locals and visitors alike, for good reason. One of the best brunch locations in Boston for sure. No reservations for brunch, only a waitlist system. Pro tip - Milkweed uses a Yelp waitlist, so check the wait time on the Yelp app and join waitlist ahead of time. They had converted the parking lot into outdoor seating, but we were able to find places for parking on the street a couple minutes away. Seating indoor was cozy. Despite the weekend brunch rush, service was good, and the food was delicious. The “morning madness” is very popular, and it was great.

Fantastic food and great service. Brunch here is quite popular. We had zeroed in on having brunch here and didn’t know that it would be so crowded. Had to wait 40 minutes to get a table. The place is quite small so when it is packed to the brim, you will have to speak loudly if you want to talk to your friends. You’ll find college kids more than any other demographic. It would have been better if they asked those waiting outside to have their masks on. We had to walk between a crowd full of kids who were least interested in wearing their masks.

This was our first stop upon arriving in Boston. We ordered an iced coffee and a spiked strawberry lemonade as our drinks. For lunch, we got a salmon burger and a fried chicken sandwich. The food was delicious but the service was insanely slow. Other tables around us were complaining that they hadn’t gotten their food or drinks yet. We did wait a while for the food, and our server forgot to bring out our waters despite asking twice. Kinda found it odd that they don’t have tap water, only bottled. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the food and the ambience!

fantastic breakfasts! We had the special and the salmon cakes. both were just great. Lots of food, reasonable price, great service and so tasty. Easiest 5 star ever!
