When Chinese food brought up to a highest level. Food is phenomenal and service is exceptional. My server Trang helped me to choose my meal. I am sure everything you order there is perfect. But here’s what I had. I had an Edamame slaw which explode with different flavors in my mouth. Then I had mussels and they were the best I’ve ever tried. Their dumplings are fantastic. Order everything they have there. Definitely my place to go when I’m in Boston. Most importantly the warmth and attitude when you are there. I didn’t have a reservation and during pandemic it’s a no go. Despite that fact I have been greeted by a host with a smile and kindness.

Service was spot on and very friendly. Waiters were very helpful with the menu and allowed for spacing between meals. We had to visit this restaurant for the reviews on gluten-free menu choices. The choices were well provided, but really didn’t know they were family style meals until we arrived at the restaurant. Overall meals were very good, but maybe too spicy for one person in the party. Atmosphere recommended for dates or small groups. Recommend the braised pork buns as a appetizer and the fried chicken thighs.

One of the best Asian restaurants in Boston. Loved the Dan Dan noodles, Bao and the drinks. Desserts were too good. Cocktails are excellent. A very fancy fine dine restaurant. Reservations are recommended as there is always a long waiting list.

I visited Myers and Chang for weekend brunch. The outdoor seating was pleasant and service was quick. Food was delicious and flavors were on point. Being a vegetarian, I can comment on the menu that the weekend menu had small vegetarian selection but of top quality. In total, I'm pretty happy with the vegetarian variety and would highly recommend to visit here

We placed our order on the phone and then went to go pick it up in person about 40 minutes later. Despite arriving on time, we were told the food would take another 7 minutes. After sitting at the front of the restaurant for 10 minutes, we were able to grab our meals. The food here was phenomenal - the ribs were particularly memorable. The dan dan noodles were delicious. They were marked as spicy with 3 chili peppers (if I remember correctly) and it wasn't spicy at all - maybe a 2/10 in spiciness - despite my usual inability to eat spicy foods. I personally was happy with this because I would've otherwise needed to pair dinner with milk. The fried rice was also delicious and we loved the chunks of pineapple throughout! My friends were raving about this location and have marked it as a place to return to. ---- 2nd visit! This time we were able to eat inside the establishment because masking was no longer required for vaccinated individuals. The food was just as good as we remembered and the service was pretty fast. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time, particularly on the weekends.

Service here is one of the best. I came here for the tea smoked ribs per recommendation, but it came out a bit burnt and salty the first time. I expressed my disappointment, and our waitress insisted on replacing it with a new one. The second one tasted great. I was able to taste the tea favor with a pinch of spice and sweetness from the sauce. The meat was very tender and fell off from the bond immediately. The scallion pancakes was pretty good as well, especially with the sauce.

Got takeout since I was in Boston for my 2nd dose; the green papaya salad was SUPERLATIVE --an incredible mix of crunchy/tender/tart/funky/spicy/herbaceous, one of the best things I have eaten in recent memory. The dumplings were good but didn't live up to my expectations since I had heard so much hype; I think they may have been better if I had re-crisped them at home since they steamed a little bit in the takeout box and lost their crunch. The order was ready ahead of time and the price was very good for the amount & quality of food. I definitely will revisit to explore more of the menu next time I'm in the area.

Really cool place. Food is outstanding, I especially loved the Mama Chang Dumplings, the Crispy Tofu Buns, and the Mushroom Bowl. Service is attentive, friendly and fast. All that for a good price, it‘s hard to beat!

The Tiger's Tail cocktail was perfectly mixed. I don't usually drink whiskey, but this was great. Frank's Old School Egg Roll hit the spot as an appetizer, for sure. The dan dan noodles were spicy and sinus-clearing in a good way. Finally, the Sweet+Sour Brussels Sprouts acted as dessert. Amazing meal!

This place definitely has 5 star potential, but there were 2 huge knocks on it, which is why I gave it 3 stars. 1. Our service - maybe our server was having an off night, maybe this is just their personality. But they were quite curt and borderline standoffish. We had never been here before, and so we were looking for recommendations - they looked at us as if we had offended them somehow and didn't have time to give off their thoughts. And then, we had to remind them we ordered drinks after our food started coming out prior to the drinks (we ordered wine and sake, so even if the bar was backed up, it wasn't a complex order) 2. The tofu bao buns were not good. They tasted so bland. Additionally the market vegetable dish was just okay (not impressed) What I would highly suggest are the dan dan noodles, eggplant, and Korean chicken bao buns. This place has all the makings to be wonderful, just some hit and miss dishes and awful service.

Decent food but disappointing service. Located in an up-and-coming neighborhood in South End, Myers + Chang is known for their contemporary Chinese and Southeast Asian dishes. I recently had the chance to visit, but unfortunately, it was far below my expectations. With a lot of incoming delivery orders, their kitchen initially seemed more focused on making the food as fast as possible. We ordered in total of 8 dishes, and they all came out in less than 20 minutes. For a place that introduces itself as a tapas style restaurant, this was unprecedented. It almost felt like they were trying to rush us out of the restaurant, and it also undermined quality of some of the dishes. The deviled eggs, nasi goreng, and the tea smoked ribs were good, but the surf & tuft noodles, dan dan noodles, and the dumplings were unremarkable. The surf & turf noodles were especially unappetizing, and we ended up leaving most of it. Our server also didn’t showed up to our table after taking our order, and we barely got her attention when we were about to get our check. With the focus shifted to delivery orders, Myers + Chang wasn’t what I hoped for. There were some dishes like the tea smoked ribs that were worth trying, but I probably wouldn’t come back.

Every dish is a surprise. Some dishes are shockingly spicy! But you will never be bored of the number of dishes. If you are there on a Tuesday or Friday, ask for Noreen or David. They are absolutely amazing servers that enhance the Myers+Chang experience

Solid Asian fusion restaurant we would go back to. Portion sizes, food quality and price point are fair and the shared dining concept actually works well. Few critique points: some dishes are overly „sweet“ which if tuned down a bit would make the actual flavor pop more, out waiter was not the best in recommending items so we didn’t listen to him, tables are a bit small / the timing of food coming out should be monitored a bit better to work with the small tables. Dishes we liked most were the pork + chive dumplings (we actually had a good amount of pork in them) and the papaya salad which despite the three chilies on the menu isn’t too spicy for European taste.

Very popular place. Walked in on a Friday early evening around 5 and only counter tops left. Food is an interesting experience with slight twists on traditional Chinese street foods. Things need to be shared as portions are like Chinese dishes. Service is great.

Honestly the food was just okay and slightly overpriced. My salmon was under seasoned and overcooked. Tasted very blah... We had a nice waitress and we ate outside. Definitely not a fan. But may go back to try another dish on a different day. I've noticed that sometimes that makes a huge difference when dining at some places.

We went to this restaurant for dinner and overall it was a good experience. Food - We ordered the following food items from the menu. 1. Taiwanese Cool Dan Dan Noodles - The noodles have a strong peanut flavor, so I wouldn't recommend it if you are not a fan of peanuts. However, I liked it. 2. Edamame + Wasabi Dumplings - Didn't like it much, it tasted like spinach dumplings more than edamame and wasabi. 3. Crispy Marinated Tofu Bao - Generally they serve 2 per plate, but we asked them to make it 3. This created an issue at their end. The waitress reached halfway to our table and realized that we ordered for 3, so she went back to the kitchen and asked to do it 3. In the hurry chef didn't correctly cook the bun so it tasted like raw dough. Except for spiciness, it didn't have any other flavor. 4. **Wok-Charred Udon Noodles with Tofu + Bok Choy** It was their star dish. A must-try dish, packed with flavor. Quantity is small compared to its prices. It is a vegetarian friendly restaurant. Service - They looked short-staffed so keeping that thing in mind service was okay. Atmosphere - Good ambiance. Overall, it was a good experience, but not sure if I will come back again.

One of the best meals I've had in Boston! I loved the tapas aspect of eating here, and everything we had was extremely delicious. Get mama's dumplings, the fritters, and the surf and turf noodles you won't be disappointed! We sat at the counter where we got to watch them cook which was a cool experience. Make sure you make a reservation because they are busy! Thanks for the delicious meal!

Rating Reflection: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟“Myers+Chang turned a birthday celebration into an unforgettable evening, delivering an exceptional dining experience that resonated with warmth and culinary excellence.” Chic Decor: 🖼️🌆The ambiance of Myers+Chang sets the stage for the perfect date night. The tastefully dark lighting complements the modern yet inviting interior, creating an atmosphere that is both intimate and stylish. The well-crafted bar and beautiful wall art contribute to the restaurant’s contemporary charm. Exceptional Service: 🙋‍♂️🕯️Jack, our waiter, epitomized what exceptional service looks like. His attentiveness, coupled with his ability to make us feel at home, was unparalleled. His thoughtful gesture of adding a candle to the birthday cake added a sparkle to our celebration, reflecting the heartfelt service Myers+Chang is known for. Culinary Adventure: 🍤🍹The culinary journey at Myers+Chang was nothing short of sensational. The “bloodlust” margarita was a hit, setting the tone for a series of delightful dishes. The fresh tofu rolls were a refreshing start, followed by the savory pork and chive dumplings. While the miso root vegetables weren’t to our personal taste, the brussels sprouts stole the show, leaving a lasting impression. The coconut layer cake was the perfect sweet finale to our meal. The entire experience was surprisingly well-priced, adding even more value to our visit. In Retrospect: 🤔Myers+Chang isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a sanctuary for those who appreciate the finer aspects of dining – from ambiance to service to cuisine. Final Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - “Great”“Myers+Chang: Culinary Excellence Weaved with Heartfelt Hospitality.” For anyone looking to create special memories over exquisite food and drinks, Myers+Chang is a destination that promises and delivers an unparalleled dining experience. 🌟🍽️💖

Food was amazing. Our server Gabby was superb. Will have her serve us again! We had the black tea smoked wings, ramen, and bottle of wine. Delish. Everything came out hot and fresh. Sat at chefs table so even had a free show as part of this dining experience.

It is a little crowded inside and the table is small. But the service is fast and great. We ordered chive dumplings, old school egg rolls, shanghai surf+turf noodles and warm sichuan sliced beef as shown in my pics. They are not too spicy. I would recommend them all!

After reading so many positive reviews I thought of giving this place a shot. Was pretty disappointed with the food. Being an Asian myself, I love Asian food. I have been to so many better restaurants in and around Boston with less ratings than Myers+Chang and they had much better food. The food just had spices without any flavor. The Dan Dan noodles was filled with too much unnecessary spices. The Tofu Bao was too dry and tasteless. The food is overpriced as per the quality of the food. Mushroom Tofu noodles was the only dish which was bearable. I don’t think I’m going back there again.

Wok charred udan noodles with chicken was the best for the night. We also ordered spring rolls which were crispy and nicely stuffed but lacked taste. Pork dumplings didn’t live up to the hype. dumplings were not crispy and were cold. Overall good experience. Nice ambience and good atmosphere.

The service is prompt. All the fusion dishes are well done with proper seasoning and creative assembles. The cocktail selections are versatile. Nothing is bland nor boring. Fun time.

Fried whole blue fish is recommended. I got 2 lb. Of this plate as attached on this review pictures. The dessert is refreshing with parfait and vanilla ice cream & orange granita. The charred octopus is also yummy. I recommended to order with white rice to enjoy the condensed taste

I ordered take out so I’m mostly reviewing the food here, I can’t really speak to the atmosphere of the restaurant. As a take out order I was super pleased with my relatively quick experience, friendly staff, and my food was still warm when I got home. The star of the three dishes we tried was the scallion pancake. A crispier texture than ones I’ve had before but it was so good. The pork and chive dumplings were savory and flavorful. Great if you prefer a fried dumpling and the sauce was great too. Dan Dan noodles were spicy and delicious - great with the cucumber. I was only a little disappointed that you couldn’t give special instructions for ordering take out. I hate cilantro so picking that out of the Dan dan noodles was a little annoying. I also think things could be priced a bit lower, 6 dumplings for $16 is a bit much in my opinion. Overall, I would absolutely recommend all of these dishes and will come again to try eating in for a date night or more special occasion.

Myers+Change is absolutely delicious. They run a well-oiled machine, serving modern and sleek takes on traditional Chinese dishes. The cocktails were phenomenal as well, and the service was fast and friendly. In my opinion, the food options in Boston's Chinatown were slim, but this is a shining star in a cool part of town.

Different from the usual Asian food experience a good vibe, great service if you want A different type of Asian experience this is the place for you. My guests and I each ordered a item ,the Portions are small so it's difficult to share the fried rice had pineapples in it a little unusual, I never had that before. The egg plant was very spicy, Hot and sour soup was excellent , The ribs get an A+ approved by my cousin . I'll have to give it one more try before I make my final verdict as of today it's a five star . I would recommend a to visit try

Myers + Chang is one of my favorite restaurants, hands down. Anytime I’m in Boston I make a point to go there (if I lived there I’d probably go once a month). The service is great and the staff welcome you as soon as you walk in as if they’re happy to see you. My last trip to Beantown I had one night I could make it in. Dining solo there is easy and fun - the bar is fun to sit at (the chefs are happy to chat with you and answer questions) and the halvsies menu lets you eat tapas style and try ~5 dishes as a single person. Some dishes are better than others. The brussel sprouts are crispy and sugary with a fun sourness. The tea smoked short ribs are tingly and spicy with a complex smokey flavor. The pork belly bao is like a pillowy hug for your mouth - it has all the best parts of bacon with a umami softness that will make you want to mop up the last bits of the sauce from your plate. The eggplant is a little boring but comforting in its texture. The ginger and garlic fried rice was a little too spicy for me (it didn’t help that I don’t really like peas). They are extremely thoughtful about food allergies and helped me navigate the menu with an egg allergy. The drinks I’ve tried are all complex and interesting (and not overly sweet). They have good non alcoholic options as well with house made sodas. I love how vegetable forward the menu is - nothing feels heavy and you can leave feeling comfortable, entertained and hosted as if you were at a more intimate dinner party. Even the desserts are balanced. The vegan chocolate mousse (which they gave me just a small scoop of on request) paired its light sweetness with the bitterness of cocoa nibs and flakes of sea salt. The price point feels about right to me at around $60-70/head with a drink. It’s nice enough to feel special occasion but not so expensive that it feels out of reach. Note that they do include a 3% kitchen fee which you can opt out of on request.

Was recommended Myers+Chang by a friend and enjoyed my meal here. If you are looking to dine-in, definitely make a reservation in advance. Split the omnivores delight date night option with my friends and this option worked for my group of four. Date night option might be a little too much food for a group of two and slightly too little for group of four (depending on how hungry you are) but seems like it would be the perfect amount for a group of three. It also looks like the date night option is only available Monday to Wednesday. The only reason Myers+Chang is four stars is due to the service. The waiter seemed disappointed that we got the date night option and ignored us several times and took many tries to flag them down when paying for the food

Good food. However it was VERY crowded on a Monday night, also music was very very loud I had to shout to be able to talk to my friend who was seated in front of me. The service was slow. Let me tell you a funny story: after we were done eating our main entree (lemongrass mussels and some noodle dish) they served us the appetizer: scallions pancakes...imagine that! 😂 To be honest, I will not go back. My friend however, did really like the food and will go back.

Very eclectic asian fusion. Flavors were decent but felt a little muted in comparison to their authentic counterparts for e.g. the nuoc cham tasted a little watered down. As an Asian, would I recommend this place or eat here again? No.

  • 5/5 Brian A. 2 years ago on Google
We really liked braised porkbelly buns. Hugely accommodating to gluten free folks with red plates for GF. Spicy, if you dont like that just be careful. Ambience is casual but sophisticated.

Had a phenomenal time at Myers+Chang! Was able to try a wide variety of tasty food that they offered. Our server Chrissy was really helpful in figuring out what we should order for our first time there! She made our dining experience that much better! Thank you Myers+Chang for providing a wonderful dinner at a great price!

Myers+Chang has an interesting assortment of Asian-inspired dishes. It is best to go with a group and order a bunch of stuff to share. Tables can be hard to get so would recommend making a reservation. The highlights for me were the crispy marinated tofu bao, crispy tofu with Sriracha Aioli, cool dan dan noodles, and the nasi goreng. Would love to come back and try some of their other items

Loved my meal tonight at Myers and Chang. I am traveling solo and they had a “halfsies” menu that is perfect for one person. I was able to try multiple different plates, standouts were the eggplant, pork and chive dumplings, and surf and turf noodles. I had the peach and basil sangria as well as cold sake. The vibe was super fun, great music and service. I had a great time and would love to come back next time I’m in town!
