First time in Boston and I was recommended this place by a local. Came to the Beacon Hill location. Staff was friendly. Good and baked goods were amazing. I had a cappuccino and a smoked salmon and avocado tartine. One of the most flavorful smoked salmon I have ever had. It is busy and seating can be limited. If you’re in a hurry, order online for pick up. Such a cute place and definitely put it on your list as you visit this historic area of Boston

First time eating here. Located in Beacon Hill, on Charles St. While there was a long line to place our order, moved quickly and was well worth the wait. Staff was friendly and quick. We enjoyed The BRAT-turkey sandwich and the Mozzarella, tomato, arugula sandwich. Both made with fresh ingredients and big portions. The vanilla iced chai was delicious as well. Although, we were tempted to purchase a sweet from their abundant bakery selection, we passed. There was definitely enough to choose from.

Fabulous selection of pastries and offering breakfast & lunch all day! I wanted to order just 3 eggs and they wouldn’t make it- they have eggs on the menu dressed up in all kinds of things -but I just wanted plain old eggs… I don’t get it.

Love Tatte in general but the experience at this outlet was miserable. Because it is a smaller branch, it doesn’t offer the full menu like the other outlets. When I visited on a Sat late afternoon, it was packed, stuffy, humid and hot. Ventilation is poor and it definitely doesn’t help that the kitchen space is not isolated from the rest of the cafe. Clean cutlery wasn’t readily available and it was hard to find seats. I found it odd that there was an empty area right next to the drinks counter where they could have easily fitted a sizeable table. Food was also very salty and my quiche was served burnt. Doubt I’ll return to this outlet again.

We recently visited this cafe twice, but unfortunately I have to say the experience is not pleasant. The cafe was incredibly crowded, which made it difficult to find a comfortable spot to enjoy my meal and coffee. The lack of space and constant noise took away from the overall ambiance I was hoping for. Moreover, the food we ordered failed to meet our expectations. Mine was acceptable but my boyfriend ordered shakshouka and got very upset. Even the coffee fell short of my expectations. The taste was average, lacking the rich and distinctive flavors I typically enjoy in a good cup of coffee. Dessert was not bad. Despite these disappointments, I do want to acknowledge the hardworking staff at the cafe. They were putting in their best efforts to cater to the high volume of customers, even in such a crowded environment. Their work deserves appreciation. Overall, I don’t recommend this place if you’re seeking for a relaxing breakfast spot and don’t want to get stressed out.

We walked down to this coffee shop from our Airbnb. Our local friend highly recommended this place. So we were very curious about how everything goes on. The first scene to show up is their pastry case. Full of the good stuff. Looks very fresh and delicious. All different kinds of pastries. We picked up a few of them. The guy who had very strong Boston accent served us. Very cool and nice. The coffee is very fresh and very perfect to have with the good pastries. I’m not a sweet fan but the pear tart is so good! The crust is not too hard but firm enough and pear is just simply soft and slightly and naturally sweet. Perfect to end the morning coffee time.

Very cute cafe that has many locations, but the one here gets extremely busy due to the location. The shakshuka and pain au chocolate were good, but it wasn't amazing. Service was friendly, food came out fast, plenty of gluten free options, and prices are reasonable. I'd come back to try their other menu items.

It is a chain, but the SHORT RIB GRILLED CHEESE OMG. (It comes with beets, and I usually order it without them). It is absolutely delicious. I have tried a ton of things on the menu, pastries, and drinks, and they are all fairly good. The pastries run a little pricey, but the menu feels fairly priced.

Such a wide range of choices with so much attention to detail. In addition to the pastries (lemon drizzle cake was perfect, even though I didn't get to try the icing), the two menu items we tried were great (bowl of muesli had so much flavor with a great tang, and the prosciutto, parmesan, scrambled eggs on sourdough). Every team member was friendly even though it was super busy. They know what they're doing over there.

Love this place for breakfast. We got soup of the day, the breakfast croissants, salmon tartine, baguette and meringue. I love everything except the meringue, that one wasn't so interesting. The soup was well flavored (tomato soup), the croissants here's really really good. There were many people though even early morning and because of the construction outside it was really hard to get a table.

A bakery to die for! Fresh fresh fresh! I might just move in. See menu photos. Also impressed with efficiency with highrise shelving for online orders (last photo).

Great pastry, great shakshuka (spicy 🥵) great tartiness, excellent deserts, and more and more. Everything as good very good but the ordering process very very very unorganized, only one cashier that take the orders that make such a long waiting time. I assume every weekend are like this, they have to improve this. But at the end everything is so tasty that after eating you forget all.

Very beautiful interior that maintains that Boston charm. My servers and order takers were incredibly kind. They even spoke my mother tongue with me, Español. Los amo!!! Gracias

I recommend you the House Latte. Good Tarte house Latte! The strawberries turnover was delicious. The morning bun was good. It's like a crossover of a butter croissant and a Spanish churro. We e played around $17 for 2 large coffees and 2 pastries. Coffee 4/5 Pastries 4/5 Service ok Place 3/5 ( we went on a super raining day and you have to exit the building to order and then go out again and pick up on the other side .)

Came to Boston for the weekend to enjoy the city and see a concert. We parked on Charles Street to make our way down to kayak in the harbor, and had a quick bite here. MAAANNNN AM I HAPPY WE DID. Everything they make there is platinum, such a pure European flavor and definitely craftsmanship in their food that has been used for centuries from the old country. Bravo I will be back for more!

Honestly, my primary choice was not here but somewhere recommended by a lot of others and since I am a tourist, I went there first. But there was way too much people waiting. So, I choose this place instead. One of the most wise and lucky decisions I made in this year!!! Drip coffee is delicious. Croissant sandwich is an absolute classic! Tomatoes, avocado, arugula, and medium rare egg, all together create an awesome croissant sandwich. Each bit is full of flavor, fresh veg, and crispy croissant! Cannot wait to try other pastries.

Little gem in Beacon Hill. We couldn’t have chosen a better place for brunch. Food was delicious. 5 star service, staff was so charming. The open concept kitchen is a great idea. The breakfast sandwich was amazing!!!

Very pleasant service — fast and friendly. Especially we want to recognize Matt. The coffee is good, the honey apple cake too. (Some reviews point out that the place may be too crowded — it was not on the Monday afternoon, when most patisseries are closed. And being crowded is also a sign of quality:) )

Vi and I got the matcha latte, chai latte, and tiramisu 🧃the store is so cozy and the staff is super sweet. The drinks have strong taste and good price. We stayed until after the store closed journaling and reflecting about the year.

I just randomly stopped in as I had an extra hour before a meeting. I ordered the salmon, avocado, and egg sandwich, which was surprisingly awesome. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had and the coffee was great as well.

The items I got were delicious! I wanted a slice of the cinnamon walnut pound cake but there was a gnat flying around landing on every item in that section. Other than that the items I tried were amazing! I’d definitely go back!

My wife and I had heard about this bakery and it did not disappoint! It checked all the boxes of a small neighborhood bakery. We ordered the Shakshouka, which is a soup/stew with origins in Northern Africa of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, olive oil, peppers, onion and garlic, commonly spiced with cumin, paprika and cayenne pepper. It was delicious! We also ordered a chocolate popover and a slice of apple pie. We will definitely be back whenever we are in the area! Don’t miss this place!

If you live in Boston, you know about Tatte! I’ve reviewed a few of their other locations and all of them are consistent in both quality, taste, and portion size. Tatte has a great menu with something for everyone! The food is all made fresh on site. They have a solid selection of all-day breakfast. Breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit, and scrambles. On the weekends, they do offer a “brunch” menu. Their cold brews and espresso are also phenomenal and pair perfectly with their breakfast offerings and pastries. I’m a huge fan of their Croissant Breakfast Sandwich. It’s filled with eggs- your way, juicy tomato, baby arugula, Vermont cheddar, & avocado. It is a great size portion, you certainly won’t leave here hungry! For those looking for lunch options, you won’t be disappointed! They have a solid selection of fresh and unique sandwiches, tartines, fresh salads, soup, flatbreads, and a wide variety of plates. My personal go-to for lunch or an early, light dinner is the Fresh Mozzarella Sandwich- add prosciutto! It’s made with fresh mozz, juicy tomato, crisp baby arugula, & pine nut pesto. The prosciutto is a small up charge, well worth it! Their pastry and bakery selection is truly massive. They have a plethora of fresh breads, tarts, brownies, cookies, scones, monkey bread, cakes, loafs, buns, croissants, tiramisu, donuts, and cookies! Everything is baked and made fresh on-site, nothing is stale or old. The commitment to quality here is very apparent. If you dine in, be prepared for a bit of a line. They move it quickly and are incredibly efficient. Table service is excellent if you dine in. They happily bring the food to your table. They also have a nice outdoor patio. We stopped in for “Brunch” today. It was extremely busy, but the staff was like a well-oiled machine. Don’t let the line discourage you, it moves quickly! Be sure to snag a table inside or on the patio, as they are constantly busy. We dined inside as the patio was completely full, no big deal. We expected a crowd given the holiday weekend. Service was top-notch and the food came out piping hot and fresh. Everything is made to order. I ordered my usual: The Croissant Breakfast Sandwich. The Croissant is phenomenal, flaky yet soft inside. It held up great to the scrambled eggs, cheese, tomato, arugula, and avocado. The croissant is one of the best I have had! The guest with me ordered the Avocado Tartine. Sourdough bread piled high with fresh baby arugula, dill, radish, avocado, and poached eggs. I’m not a fan of sourdough, but it looked incredible. The eggs were done perfectly! We decided to split a small mixed-berry fruit cup. The fruit was fresh and delicious, no mushy fruit cup here! We both got an order of monkey bread to go. You have to grab a sweet treat to enjoy for later! If you’re looking for a reliable, consistent, fresh, and delicious Bakery-Cafe in Boston, you must give Tatte a try! It’ll be one of your new go-to spots. I know it is one of mine! They do have multiple locations in and around Boston. It’s always been consistent and fresh, no matter what location you visit!

Delicious brunch but terrible management. Tables with people on their computer without coffee or food and people with their foods waiting for seat. If you don’t get a coffee or food why you spend 2/3 hours here? We order and after 45 min waiting with our food we decide to leave. Not a good experience. 3 star be use the food it’s really good

The baked goods were beyond count. The service was quick and friendly. The only problem is this place and the other bakery, Mikes, are swamped almost all the time. They both can have lines out the door. The food was the best.

Long lines, staff is a little slow. Fun outdoor seating, the cinnamon pecan rise was delish but the coffee was like warm

I love French Toast and I try to get them whenever I can and I was very pleased with Tatte's version. Every bite was an explosion of flavor and the fruit and cheese definitely took them to new level of delicious. The rest of the pastries were to die for. I truly believe everyone must try this bakery.

I love this chain overall - great bread, sandwiches, and tea. I loved the B.L.A.T. I got at this location. I just want to warn people there is only outside seating at this location, and there isn't much of it. This location was incredibly crowded the two times I visited; I ended up carrying my food to the park instead.

Great coffee and pastries. Very busy I recommend to order online and pick up in 20 min. Always a long line for a reason . They have killer fresh pastries and great coffee and juices. Also great sandwiches. Not your usual Starbucks.

My fourth time in Boston and my second time to this Tatte. Always clean with a friendly staff . My order comes out hot and quick on order. The location is by far my favorite.
