Currently hospitalized I’m pregnant with Hyperemesis Gravidurum. Bleeding and throwing up they wanted to send me home I refused because I felt weak and extremely dizzy. They decided to keep me upon transport I was vomiting violently. When I got upstairs entire staff was men. They were awesome. Upon shift change they’ve been ok till I realized how the nurses are making fun of patients my room is dark w no tv because everything makes me vomit. Well I close my eyes to avoid brightness and I hear them saying she’s just sleeping moaning complaining when we ask how she’s doing but she’s sleeping they all laughed. Now I’m hearing them call another patient crazy. These people are no good. No compassionate care hopefully they are never on the other side and experience such trauma. Mind you I waited 4 hours to be seen swimming in a bloody diaper

If you’re over 15 minutes late they make you cancel your appointment, no exceptions (even if a truck overturned on the highway on your way up and it took you 2 hours). I find this to be such hypocrisy - you often have to wait 30-45 minutes past your appt time to get in to see a doctor. I was 5 minutes past the cutoff and was told I had to come back.

If I create this as a zero I would I been waiting for three hours with my two-year-old son in the emergency room and when I was finally placed in a nice comfortable room the nurse came in and told me they needed to swap my son out because somebody else needed this room and they put me in a small closet room that has lab waste in I’m convinced it is because we are African-American because there is no reason why I waited three hours for my son to rightfully be somewhere and you decide that he’s not important enough and put us in a room like this disgusting worst hospital ever mind this also the room they have been using for triage

Unfortunately, I've had to visit many hospitals in the last twenty years. This hospital is a very good place, with professional and knowledgeable Doctors. It's very clean and easy to find where you need to go. There are many staff as you enter ready to help you with any questions. Highly recommend!

Horrible Experience. Anyone seeking a neurologist at the Headache Center run as fast as you can in the opposite DIRECTION!!!!! This department is beyond horrible ever since the pandemic and remote work started. I would have never imagined that this department would LITERALLY give me a headache!!!!!!!! I should note the neurologist are great but the Prior Authorization team is a nightmare and needs to be hold accountable for mistakes made. Because I’m the end the patients will suffer. I have been 4 months without being medicated because of the prior authorization department. Update: I was able to see a New Neurologist in October 2021 I got my medication that requires a Prior Authorization within ONE WEEK. This allegedly proves either they are intentionally not doing their job correctly to force patients to go into the office and undergo Botox treatment for migraines instead of taking calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) medications you inject yourself with monthly. Or they simply are incompetent in doing their job. I complained reach out to patient support numerous times and know one seems to care so please save yourself the headache and migraine and go to another facility!!!!!???

I had a surgery on the 12 Sep in this hospital done by Dr. James Greenberg . Dr. James Greenberg is so experienced and knowledgeable, he did go through everything that I should know about the surgery, great personality and a positive attitude, his a mission is to provide a care and attention to each person walked to his office I was treated with incredible care and skill by the nursing staff. Nurses Kersi-Ann Morse and Rachel , Ashely and Cheryl , the beautiful Rachelle Jacques that made me laugh:) and the wonderful team of Bernie and Marietta that they helped me take a shower when I couldn't do it by my self and made me smile and finally, The angel Lindsay Bandazian ( NP) very warm and carry person, sweet and nice, she will have a conversation with you every morning about how do you feel and make sure that everything goes well, she is not in rush, she will give you the time needed to answer all your question. This hospital have the right people in the right position. Thank you to Dr. James Greenberg and to all the nurses and their assistances.

Because it’s smaller than Dana Farber and not as current, I was a little hesitant to have the surgeries done here. But my experience was great. The staff was extremely kind and dedicated to treating me well. I took a star because the facility itself needs updating and the parking garage is small.

I usually don’t write reviews but I can’t just don’t share my visit to the ER. After about 4 hours of wait (which I totally understand due to the current situation) when I get to the room, that happened to be right in front to the place the staff do the paperwork, I could literally hear the staff basically making fun of my reasons to seek medical help, loud and clear. I was so uncomfortable that I asked to leave, since my pain and concerns were being invalidated anyway, and than someone told me that I “shouldn’t be there if I didn’t want”, as I was wasting their time, which didn’t make sense since the only reason that made me want to leave was because it was very upset about the situation. I heard comments about me about three times and in all occasions it as I didn’t had a valid reason to be there. It was the worst hospital experience that I ever had, I felt so humiliated and couldn’t stop crying. It is just crazy to see how health professionals can treat patients so unprofessionally, I’m mortified with the experience and I would never go back to this hospital again.

Faulkner ruined Brigham for me. Completely and utterly mind blown by the way these health care professionals treat their patients. It should be a crime. I’m not sure how they can stay in business with the way they conduct the ER. The administration needs to be evaluated and fired because this horrific service ultimately is their responsibility. Just absolutely sickening..

Went to the ER with my partner, waited 8 hours. YES, 8 HOURS. We got there at 5:30 ish, didn't get seem until 11PM. Waited again for the result. We didn't leave until 1AM ish. I give 4 stars because all the staff there are super nice and professional. It is really not their fault that the wait time is so long, they are simply understaffed. We watched the way they call patients and they do their best to prioritize patients with more urgent needs. The receptionist was so patient with everyone. The staff deserve more credit for their hard work.

Spent 24 hours and counting in the ED for an issue that needs an inpatient bed to be treated. Doctor spoke to me ONCE for about 5 minutes, refused to speak to me again for my whole stay, and lied to me about communicating with my family. The staff accidentally did not give me my daily medication and they also did not inform me of my rights. The list goes on… stay FAR AWAY. I’ve had the misfortune of seeing a fair share of emergency rooms up close and this is BY FAR the worst I’ve ever seen

I went to Faulkner neurology for two years for help with daily chronic migraines. I stopped going due to continued rude office staff and the fact that I only saw a non fellow one time out of my eight or so total office visits. I did like Melissa for whatever it’s worth. The other crazy thing was that after I cancelled one appointment (because insurance tried charging me 4,000$ they tried booking me out three months later)(the office staff seemed to enjoy the power trip) and when I paged my doctor I never got call backs (or at least I didn’t three times that I tried paging them). I hate to leave negative reviews but I also mentioned these issues to them several times and they never addressed them. I just want future patients to know what they are getting into because migraines are no joke. My new doctor at MGH is also asking me multiple questions that my Faulkner doctor never asked me (like literally TEN) things about diet, family history, medication dosage etc etc that are helping me tremendously. They are just a thousand times better all around.

I went to the ER with severe upper back pain and tingling in my hand. I'm in the process of moving, so I figured it was a soft-tissue/bone issue. My blood pressure was a bit elevated, so they did a 5 hour cardiac work up. Apparently no one at Faulkner is aware that pain increases blood pressure. They told me my aorta wasn't ruptured and sent me home. I didn't even wait for the discharge papers. At least I was able to get out of the filth that is the hospital. No call button in the room. Pillows with no pillow cases (eeeewww) a used tissue on the floor, and staff members coming in to throw their garbage in the can. And then there were the finger/toenail clippings all over the floor. As far as the bathroom, it appeared have been hosed down with several gallons of urine, and had never been cleaned. A day later, the pain is worse, and has spread. The staff were all very nice. It's a shame they have to work in such a cesspool. Do yourself a favor and avoid Faulkner. It's filthy, disgusting, and unable to provide medical care.

Emergency department is full of racist nurses and doctors. Did you speak with a slight accent they make fun of the way you talk, don't take your complaints seriously, and dismiss you without treatment. And even if you don't have an accent, having the wrong last name or the wrong skin color will end up with you getting poor treatment at this facility. Avoid it if you value your health! If you read through all the reviews on his Google page you'll notice that all of the bad reviews come from people with Hispanic last names, and that's not a coincidence because they are being treated terribly. These Healthcare Providers need to be ejected and held accountable for their actions!

I’m very grateful for the care given to my sister during her back surgery in 7south. The staff was very patiently, compassionate and amazing despite that my sister 1st language wasn’t english but their effort to make her comfortable and their understanding was beyond my expectations. Thanks specially to Ms Sheila the RN who took care of her for the first 2 days . Thanks very much for the job well done 👍👍

Nurses and cnas where Great and some doctors as well but the main doctor on the 6th floor unit was horrible . She could not communicate well and blatenly lied about what she was saying about my care. Basically she say my breathing was bad then the next day it was good so she would get me out door. The day before she told I had a pulimary embolism " I have to talk with cardiology and hrs went by into the next shift and where doctors and nurses apologized for her actions. I told her I've been dizzy and was noxious. Her reply was I didnt know anything about this I wouldn't be sending you home. But the nurses document this in my chart. I told her that I shouldn't be having problems with my breathing and balance. The nurse just tested my oxygen by walking me u.p the hallway and it read 88. The care I received from her was horrible. Following day at home I got dizzy and loss my balance and my oxygen went down. I felt like I was going to pass out. If it wasn't for my wife stepping in and worrying about me falling and she was practically arguing with ther to prescribe oxygen for home I would be worse off. This doctor should be fired.

The nurse was great. The doctors have no time for patients and they don't listen to anyone. Most frustrating is how they disregard patients concerned and with pain. It's a shame that for a 31 second doctor visit I got charged over $12000. I didn't even get a motrin. Honestly disgusting.

The neurology department at this hospital is a joke, specifically the women's headache center. There's lack of communication between staff, lack of effort from doctors so much so that its negligent. It should not take 3 plus months to fill a prescription, or 3 plus weeks to hear back from the doctor. The non effectiveness of this department has caused so much physical and emotional distress, and disruption to my household. Not only because of LACK OF DUE TREATMENT but because of their negligence that its now caused a loss of health insurance and disruption to our everyday lives. I have never seen such disorganization at a medical facility. These are people's lives they're dealing with and they're blatantly failing their patients. I have a very sick family member at home WHICH would have never happened and could have been avoided had the staff had just done their jobs. All this department has done is twiddle their thumbs and pass notes back and forth with a huge attitude. This department should be investigated by the medical board and staff should be replaced or at the very least be put on probation.

I was admitted to this hospital after being in the ER of Brigham and Women's hospital on 75 Francis St. It has been a very bad experience from the start. I am a quadriplegic which makes me susceptible to skin problems. I was put on a bed for 3 days that was not a pressure relief bed which was available in the hallway charging. I asked the staff to put me in the bed because there is electricity in my room also. I was then told there was a lack of staff to do this. Finally after 3 days with numerous requests and complaints I was put in the bed. I will also add that after two days of being in a hospital I could not get washed up. Only until I complained about that it was done. The nursing aid staff in most cases have 13 patients which is unreasonable. The nursing staff is overworked. This is an administrative issue so all folks beware of the care at BWH.

They thought my boy friend had mental problems even tho he passed all the test, they were keeping him there against his will. We haven’t ate fro two days, just waiting for them to do more tests on him to let him go home make sure he wasn’t crazy even tho he was completely fine no mental problems but they just thoughts so cuz he is black assuming we gonna hurt them or something like if we are dangerous, I hate this hospital is the worst. They have to do better they can’t just do that.

Dr. Krieger is Amazing! She is the first doctor that actually took her time to listen to me and try and help. The 4 stars is because of the front desk staff…some of them need an attitude adjustment. It’s sad that the great ones have to suffer with/for the others. Lack of accountability and respect can really bring down morale.

I have had a great experience with a partial left knee surgery. Dr. Shaw was personal and professional always explaining everything. Susan my nurse in pre-op was tremendous. Smart and funny. My nurse Kevin on the night shift was tremendously helpful and responsive. The PCA’s Meghan and Steph were terrific keeping my needs at the forefront. The PT and NP Laurie made a tough experience very good. I would recommend Brigham and Faulkner to anyone looking for top notch professional care. Thank you all for the job you do.

Hi. I’m a new patient here since December 2020. I must say, I went in to see Dr Amy Lo, for gastro. And she was amazing! She listened to my concerns and she acted upon my request.. one month later I was in and got my colonoscopy and it was all done by her! She was great and I had a great experience. I have also been coming here for all my MRI, CT scans and Labs and I can’t complain! I love it!!! Thank you please, keep providing excellent service!

Very nice people when you get in for appointment but since this covid stuff them working from home it's incredibly hard to speak to someone live, I called for over a week strait to get an appointment that it took almost two weeks for a call back, by this time my stitches grew into my skin 2.5 weeks late on removal , I hope they find away to make communicating with patients a lot easier instead of asking us not to leave multiple messages because it will clog up the system but sometimes you don't have a choice when you got to get things done and nobody's calling you back this last time the person I spoke to when I finally got through which was pure luck couldn't say sorry enough he does did not know how it was missed but I'm sure I wasn't the only one cuz no one answers the phones and I've called three times today already and I still can't get through

Today I had a total knee replacement surgery. I can tell you that this hospital, staff including nurses, physical therapists, and doctors were all fantastic. The surgery went very well, and it was one of the happiest days of my life! I cannot thank Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hosptial enough! I consider them “A Best in World Class Organization”.

The beginning of The ER Visit was good. Then this became a scary and Threatening Experience. The Room my Son and I was put in had Outdated equipment that didn't work Including two Nurse Call Buttons which they kept replacing and didn't work. Then they mentioned putting my son on a Cardiac Monitor and they didn't not have electricity to make it work. My son had no monitor . My son and I had diagnosis of Covid 19 and we're very sick. The Hospital 🏥 Faulkner Brigham refused to give us any Antecdote to cure us. I feel like this Is depraved Indifference and Criminal Negligence. I would never use this antiquated Hospital 🏥 ever again.

It has been a truly shocking experience with this hospital. I went for a new patient ENT office visit with Dr. Roditi at this hospital last year (Nov 15, 2021) and had a relatively decent appt where Dr. Roditi asked me about my sinuses, etc. due to my complaints. She then asked if she had consent to look up my nose, which I consented to. She looked at my nose with this tube thing briefly. Several months later, unbeknownst to me, I receive a bill charging me $856 for a nasal endoscopy (which was just a slightly longer tube than a normal doctor's office looking up my nose for about half a minute) over the approx $693 they charged that my excellent insurance PPO would cover. I now have sent messages back and forth with them for months explaining that I am a grad student who cannot afford these extraorbitant rates (which I didn't agree to and was not informed of prior). Their argument against me is that I "consented" to this procedure -- which was looking up my nose -- and I was not told that it would be filed as a highly expensive procedure not covered by insurance. After months and months of correspondence back and forth and not even once being given any consideration, this has really made me afraid to even go and get check ups here at my normal PCP here because of their practices.

I would defiantly recommend this hospital! I have only had to deal with the ICU wing and staff and I have to say hands down they are the most amazing people I have met at a hospital. My boyfriend was admitted to the ICU and was in a medically induced coma for almost a week but once taken off the meds to induce that he still wouldn't wake up for almost 4 days after and the staff was very compassionate with myself and his family in regards to this, I was there everyday for hours on end sitting with him and they never once got annoyed or aggravated with me about anything. On top of that I would call 2-3 times a day throughout the day when I was at work or couldn't make it to see him right away and they answered all the questions I had even if nothing about his status had changed. I will point out a couple specific people who were nurses and his Dr named Bry, Beth and Jackie, They were ALL so attentive to him and so understanding and amazing with myself and his family. I had been up there one day from 4:30 till about 8:30 ( visiting hours are only 11-8) and they didn't give me any hard time about being there after visiting hours and didn't even tell me to leave or anything along those lines. I have such respect for this staff due to the severity of the patients that they deal with and I cant say enough amazing things about them. They literally saved my boyfriends life and were able to bring him back to us after we thought all hope was gone. THEY DO NOT GIVE UP ON THEIR PAITENTS AT ALL!

Went to ER because I couldn't stop puking. I'm a baby when I feel really sick and weak and I become really anxious. Everyone was very kind and comforting and the doctor showed me how the IV works so I would be less afraid of it. Appreciate him going above and beyond to help me with that! I would definitely recommend going here if you need ever a hospital.

HORRIBLE. My friend had a severe bunion surgery at this hospital and in recovery, it was impossible for her to get any nurse's attention to go to the bathroom and she ended up wetting herself! A nurse eventually came over and just gave her a mini flimsy plastic bed pan and left!

I called the main number and dialed to speak with an operator from the hospital. The first operator sounded like she was rushing and quickly transferred me to the wrong department, which was also unavailable. I didn’t think it was a big deal. I just knew to let the next operator know that I needed to be transferred somewhere else. So, I called back. I wish I didn’t. The second operator was extremely rude! Oh my goodness. Customer Service is not fit for her attitude. She picked up the call. I let her know that an operator just transferred me to a certain department that is closed/unavailable and that it would be best if I not be transferred back to that unavailable department but rather to a different one. Listen, before I could say much else she quickly snapped and replied, “Well, I didn’t speak to you in the first place.” I replied back and said, “I didn’t say you did.” At that very moment she transferred me right back to the department I told her was unavailable. Lol. I just had to laugh because she was so unprofessional and ridiculous. Thank goodness it wasn’t an emergency. I was taken aback by the experience because I thought BWFH was better than that. I guess not. From that experience, which I had earlier this morning, I simply concluded that it was best for me to seek healthcare elsewhere because if the customer service is this bad in the morning- I’m not even interested to know what it’s like in the afternoon! Lol. No thanks. I’ll pass.

I visited the ER at 4am and have truly never received more thoughtful medical care in my life. I was in a room and seen by a nurse, physicians assistant, and doctor within the first 30 minutes of arriving. Everyone was so kind and eager to go the extra mile to make sure I was well cared for during a scary experience. I will never go anywhere else in an emergency (location dependent of course.)

This was a top #1 hospital until today. I called ER for an extreme pain and I asked the ER reception couple questions and she don't anser anything but make inapropiate comments like " i cannot advice You or i Will be FIRED" I don't asked her any medical questions because I know ALL OTHER HOSPITALS. Then after she heard ( i Guess) my Spanish accent thats when things got interesting. She ignored all I was saying..i heard her talking and joking with other ppl. She also states that ALL hospitals in Boston áre busy. So basically she dint gave me any directions, any atention, she dint care because she Say "good luck" and hung up on me. The racist ppl in that hospital are evident, i read other reviews to confirm and yes I was right. IF YOURE LATIN, HISPANIC, OR OF COLOR,PLEASE COMPLAINT TO HEADQUATERS AND ADM..Don't waste your time going there of go to PA. I suspect their are on their side. I'm reading the reviews here. Now waiting to hear from nursing manager who told me she Will call back in 15 min. Is 30 min already!!!

The place is questionable and I’m being generous. They charge for parking and in the stairs someone did number 2. They left it there all morning. Disgusting. The staff was nice but the Doctor was horrible. She was the only Dr. available at the time I made the appointment. Should have known better. Not personable at all. Was always in a rush. Dr. Wang didn’t even let me hear my babies heartbeat. The second time I asked she said “we will hear it next time”. I was 14 weeks along… On top of that “the lab” allegedly didn’t run the right genetics testing. When I called to ask about sending my results to another OB-Gyn the receptionist said “everything is fine” regarding my results…. How would she know…?? They only tested me for 14 conditions where there is more than 170 screening conditions. But you know they charged my insurance for the most expensive test. Ohhh and STILL waiting for results. I told them 3 weeks ago to send all my information. Had I not changed Doctors I would have not even known of the mistake. I bet they would have told me either. This was my experience, you can make your own choice. Just want to give expecting mothers a heads up. Good luck!

I was a patient recently here & as always I got the absolute best care from the surgeons, doctors and nurses. I had a very bad infection of cellulitis which was right down to the bone. I was discharged on a Thursday with a very bad wound that required a Visiting Nurse to come to my home in order to change the dressings for the next week or 2. The Brigham assured me that the Visiting Nurse was all set up & would be showing up on Monday. I got a call Friday at 4pm from a Dr that didn't treat me & I had never met & was told "sorry, because of your insurance no Visiting Nurse will be coming to your home to change your dressings." Of course I panicked because 1) I was told upon discharge that this service was already set up 2) my wound is all the way down to the bone, needs to be packed & I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT do it myself. I said "what should I do now then?" The Dr said " I don't know? I guess call your PCP. Have a nice day." & Hangs up on me. I am REALLY REALLY UPSET ABOUT THIS!! I LOVE the Brigham & the treatment I've received the 2 times I was inpatient there was THE BEST! Yet this situation & treatment I've received in the past 48 hours since I was discharged is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE & UNCARING in my opinion. I have a serious injury and without the right outpatient care (that I was PROMISED was all setup before I left) could very possibly result in me losing my arm. I'm afraid, disappointed, discouraged and the worst part is that NOBODY now seems to care. I'm extremely let down that this is how the WONDERFUL TREATMENT I received ended.

The Breast imaging center is great, however the ER is not. I waited twice over 4 hours for just getting a vaccine. Went to BMC, was there for an hour the most.

I had an appointment with sleep medicine. Dr Javaheri is wonderful- very attentive and respectful as well as knowledgeable. The waiting room also is set up in a way that accommodates people of different sizes including people with wide seats that would experience pain or bruising if needing to sit in a standard size chair. It was nice to see this as many Dr offices I go to are not fat-positive. That said, weight will be discussed if experiencing issues like sleep apnea so be aware of this if you prefer a HAES provider you should ask to make sure one is available.

Every single person from the man who helped me with parking all the way to the doctor who did my surgery was kind, caring and nice. Everyone made me feel safe, important and comfortable during a very uncomfortable time. Grateful for everyone there!!

The experience I had at the Faulkner Hospital was more than 5 stars. From the admitting to the surgery and overnight stay was more than expected. Dr Wolfgang Fitz was phenomenal. Did 1 knee now doing the other. I highly recommend the Hospital, the Staff and the Doctor. 5+ stars.

I am writing this letter in both desperation to be heard and frustration with the unsafe and rude treatment I’ve experienced at this hospital in the last month. For over 2 years I was a patient of Dr. Wang for pain clinic. During this time, he worked hard to find the perfect way to inject me to avoid pain from my neurology issues and created a plan so other doctors could treat me. When he left, he recommended a PA Mary O’Dwyer.I went to this PA for 2-3 for nerve block and botox and on our last visit I asked her a question about my bottom jaw, she became defensive and refused to answer. After this visit, my husband sent an email letting her know of one injection on the back of my neck, where my hair was hurt. I’ve never had pain from an injection site, especially a week later and was concerned. Her response was to refer to a pain clinic, no one asked about the injection site(which is covered by my hair). I was a nurse for over 40 years before I became ill, everyone knows an injection site that cannot be seen by the patient (due to hair) is a concern. There are multiple medical issues that could result and put me in danger from an issue like this being untreated and I was horrified no one cared. I was simply referred without a care and left to hope I didn’t end up with Cellulitis or an infection. I went to my referral at Chestnut Hill Pain Clinic, I went to this appointment and spoke with a resident who then went to speak with a physician. A physician then came in and told me they only treat headaches and couldn’t do anything for me. They’ve given me phone numbers (my husband has spent hours on the phone with no avail) and no one seems to care that treatment. I’ve been offered for years is no longer available to me suddenly. I then called Patient Advocate and she said she’d speak with Mary O’Dwyer who I’ve tried to speak with and I’ve occasionally received emails. Abygail Meeks with Patient/Family Relations emailed me after 1 call letting me know my case was closed. She had no idea we went to Chestnut Hill, does not respond to any calls, and has indicated per Mary and no one else can assist, and nothing can be done. For 2 years I had wonderful treatment from Dr. Wang and was able to live my life in less pain, now I’m being told, “too bad, so sad” from your physician and Patient Relations. I thought this hospital cared for their patients and made some type of effort, but it seems like if you do not agree with everything they say (even when it can put you in danger) and take what you can get? You are expected to leave them be and suffer in pain. Without this botox, not only am I in pain but without the relaxations of the muscles, my jaw does not open, I have vision issues, I have issues digesting/choking and food can end up in my lungs. But I’m beginning to believe this hospital does not care

Trials - you truly are just a number here. Don’t agree to do a trial unless your treating Doctor is involved.

The hospital is fine. Google's directions are incorrect, and Google won't let me post a correction without turning on all their beastly tracking. Instead of turning right up the side street Google Maps suggests, keep going another 100 feet up Centre Street to the next right -- the one with the light and the hospital signage. Or use Waze, which is correct.

I was a patient of Dr Brick for knee replacement surgery. I would give the Dr Brick and his staff the highest marks possible. Everyone I came in contact could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. The nursing staff were top notch along with the aides and everyone involved in my care. They deserve 10 Stars+

Great hospital! My mom had a surgery there and everyone were amazingly kind, caring and professional. Starting from registration, to surgery team, recovery team and nursing team. Super kind and caring such that my mom was telling me she doesn’t want to leave ;) Other than super great staff, the hospital itself is not crowded, it’s super clean and the rooms had beautiful views.

The medical care I received at the Faulkner Hospital was abominable and if it were not for my very loud voice and my responsive Dr. who was supposed to have been notified and wasn't) things could have been even worse. I was quite ill when I was transferred from the Brigham ER and was told (not asked) that I was being taken to a private room at the Faulkner. If I had any strength, I would not have agreed. Upon my arrival, I said that it was imperative that they contact my pulmonologist. This was on Saturday. On Monday, I paged my Dr. and she was not even aware that I was in the hospital! I was discharged on Thursday and told that I did not need anymore antibiotics. Since I had only been on oral antibiotics a couple of days, this seemed odd and I asked if they had spoken with my Dr. (not since Tuesday). At first, I was informed she could not be contacted but after insisting , she was, and yes- further antibiotics were needed. I did have two very good nurses and one who should not be treating patients. I hope that no other patient endures what I went through. I left the hospital not ready to be discharged but felt that home was a far safer environment than the Faulkner.

😠 Not a great hospital experience. Husband went into Emergency Department and had to get an appendectomy. The aftercare at the hospital was not great; he did not feel like the nurses or doctor were very attentive to his needs. For his follow-up appointment, the doctor was not at all familiar with his...

😠 Would suggest patients to avoid this hospital and go to one of the area's many better facilities. The Carney is very under-resourced, the staff is jaded and unhelpful, the nurses are rude, the doctors can be hard to reach, and the patient care is sub-standard. We are facing frustrating issues there...

One time, I had an appointment, and I couldn't be at the hospital that day. Upon returning, I noticed my then 4 month old had...

I worked primarily in the emergency department and it was the nurses I worked with who inspired me to continue my education. 😠 My daughter had a double jaw surgery and her care was absolutely awful. She would ring the call light and they would hang up on her. The nurses barely checked on her. When I went to visit her, her blankets were full of vomit. I had to ask a few times for new ones. She is allergic to milk yet every m...
