Nice place but very expensive. Lots of very wealthy people work out here. Plenty of equipment and snack and justice bars. Sauna and Steam and shower. During my tour I was hit with huge upsell techniques and pressure to sign up. 3 free training sessions available upon new membership sign up. 200 per month is a lot of money. But, there are lots and lots and lots of perks. lol

Good environment. Has almost all necessary equipment and machines. The sauna is pretty good. Lacks an isolateral shoulder press.

They tricked me into a 1 year contract. They don't say anything until after you sign and want to quit. Everything they claimed to offer was a lie. The personal training never happened. The class schedule conflicts with my schedule. The pool is moldy. They put my clothes in the men's locker room twice and their laundry service stole my brand new shirt. Yes. They provided a gift card to make up for their errors, but to not mention anything about the 1 year contract until now? Crazy.

NOT this lifestyle! ONE MONTH IN… mice running from cafe, empty toilet paper & toiletries, Hasty COVID policies AND AND AND getting assaulted by a custodian! DO. NOT. RECOMMEND. Ever‼️

Really enjoying my membership at this Equinox. The classes are great, especially ones taught by Richard, Julie and Shai. I always enjoy my time here and they try to give their members a luxury experience. I love the sauna, spa, and pool facilities and the locker rooms, bathrooms and showers are always clean. I feel like the attitude at this Equinox is good, no judgment in the environment or from the floor trainers, everyone's positive. It is expensive at $200 a month, but you get what you pay for and it's one of the best gyms in the area. Definitely worth it as long as you can go a few times a week!

Equinox Chestnut Hill is strategically located in the Chestnut Hill shopping mall. Parking is convenient. The gym is in excellent condition. The long side of the gym has windows to the outside so there is plenty of natural light. It's kept clean. The staff is friendly. The exercise rooms are spacious. There is a lap pool and a juice bar. You pay a lot but you get a lot.

This is a serious gym but doesn't have all of the intimidation associated with a serious gym. All levels are welcome and encouraged to push harder and harder. If you are looking for a gym I encourage you to check out Equinox Chestnut Hill!!

I've been a member of Equinox for about 5 years now, and I've loved it from the start. The comprehensive package they offer is really what sets them apart from other gyms. First of all, the facilities are top-notch. The equipment is state-of-the-art, and the clubs are always clean and well-maintained. There's something for everyone, whether you're into cardio, strength training, or group classes. In addition to the great facilities, Equinox also offers a wide range of amenities. There's a spa, pool, and even a juice bar. You can also get personal training or nutrition coaching if you want.

Worst experience I had with booking a spa appointment. Their staff from the first attempt made mistake in booking a session with a recommended professional, then I patiently worked with the then general manager to fix the appointment. Little that I know, a chain of bookings happened without my knowledge and I turned into a ghost in their system, like I’m purposefully booking and not showing up. Not only Equinox leadership did not honor trail of mistakes they made, they are blaming me for missing multiple appointments for a single complementary session!! and they are making me pay for that complementary session. They treat me as I’m purposefully lying over $100 when I’m paying $600 every month for three memberships!!! What a leadership…

Update: The showers are cleaning but the people covering the stream room sensor so it keeps running for 10+ minutes while hacking out their lungs, singing at near a shout in the steam rooms, and the phone use in the steam room is really odd. The machines are still fine. Also people leaving shavings and their stuff all over the locker rooms is gross. High quality gym. Low quality people. There’s a new GM so here’s hoping to get better. Was great now okay. First the people staff/trainers/members are great. Can definitely make some friends and the staff and nice and try to help. Classes are great - definitely recommended Precision Run. If a machine is taken people are usually really happy to let you get a set in when they rest. However cleanliness has gone down a bit. When I started end of April it was great and the locker rooms and showers were spotless, as one would expect for this level of club. Over the past couple of months the showers have green and reddish slime or something and the sink and stall area is not as clean. The store is closed almost every time I visit. I guess it’s only open 8-2 (staffing issues I assume). And there’s no fresh juice bar - just an open fridge and snack area. So some of the amenities that I expected with Equinox are either not here but still show that they were or are not up to standard - even for a regular club/gym. The floor of the club and locker areas however have kept up being really clean which is nice. Also if I’m to be the pickest person in the world the stair accent lighting is cool white while the rest of the club is neutral/near warm lighting. Also more black out shades and color LEDs in the PR room would be awesome.

Beautiful facility. I love the air quality, the treadmills, the sleek dark decor and overall vibe. Workouts are quite challenging (though you can control how hard you feel like pushing it without judgment) but I feel wonderful afterward. The extra oxygen is pretty awesome too! Make sure to take advantage of all the bells and whistles such as the vibrating rollers and cooled eucalyptus towels!

I like this spot - It's what you can expect of an Equinox, expect there is not a store at this location. Work out, hang out in the lounge, snacks / drinks can be bought off an iPad.

Clean and not too busy. The staff is excellent - friendly and doing a great job dealing with Covid related policies. I would love to see a rowing machine added!

The trainers are incredible! The place is extremely clean and well put together. Working out has never been so fun. I am in my late 40s and never felt better, it is an investment that is well worth it!

Brilliant running facility, coaches, and workouts. Suitable for runners of all abilities. I can unequivocally say this place is a safe haven for anyone looking to reach their fullest running potential, to the absolute beginner who's just get into running. These positive and enthusiastic guys and gals will teach you everything you need to know about running form and efficiency and they will motivate you every step of the way. It is so much fun. The Woodway treadmills are state of the art, and there are high-tech foam rollers and other recovery tools that anyone can use before and after class. The coaches are extremely warm, knowledgeable, and friendly. Every run is pre-designed/tested and speeds are based off of what they call your "Personal Record" (how fast you can safely run/jog for 1 minute at the end of a workout). This makes the class extremely safe and suitable for all levels. One individual's PR might be 6 miles per hour, while another's might be 10 mph. You decide what your PR is going to be depending on how you're feeling. They will never ask you to run at your PR for longer than 1 minute and the run will start well below your chosen PR. The intervals range from 30 seconds to 2min, with walking breaks in between. Everything is based off of your own PR, it's a judgement free zone (there's no leader board), and everyone is extremely supportive of one another. You feel like you're "all in this together" instead of competing against one another. It's a wicked good time, can't recommend this place enough!

😠 This place has been overcrowded and is going downhill. A bunch of entitled and disrespectful teens that do not know how to use equipment or put the weights back. 😐 To be completely honest, I'm no gym rat and understand people love this place, but for a more casual gym-goer this place felt far too cramped to me.
