My first visit to Peter Welch's Gym was on March 3, 2023. Trainer was attentive and the workout was phenomenal. Excellent atmosphere and knowledgeable staff, that was willing to answer all my questions.

Amazing classes for adults AND kids. My son went to his first class this week and came home absolutely loving it. I was a long time regular of the class, and need to get back to it as it's always an amazing workout and you leave feeling stronger and more confident in yourself.

My first ever boxing class was at Peter Welch’s Gym and I was so impressed by the class. It was such a great workout and I really felt that it was a full body workout. This is a class that all levels can take and the more you take it, the better you will get. The all the staff was super friendly and atmosphere was great. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in a boxing class, to try there first one here. Looking forward to my next class! The gym has everything you need from equipment to locker rooms.

My first class at Peter Welch's Gym was a fantastic experience. As someone who has long been intimidated by gyms I found the environment welcoming and friendly. The group class which consisted of a diverse clientele was engaging an incorporated a number of exercise's. Would definitely go back and recommend for first timers, and professionals alike.

Peter Welch's Gym was awesome! I went to the fighter conditioning class and it was such a great, challenging and engaging workout. It was my first time and I was a little intimidated walking in alone and not knowing a ton about boxing -- but everyone who works there is super nice and took the time to show me everything in the gym and explain the class in detail before it began. The conditioning class is great too because you can go at your own pace and hit the bag or do burpees at your own pace. The class also FLEW by! Highly recommend

Tried my first class here and loved it! I haven’t boxed much, but felt very welcomed and comfortable. The class was a great work out but also informative on HOW to box/move your body. I always feel accomplished when I feel like I’ve fully worked out - that’s hard to achieve by myself at a gym, but by the time the class was done - I could tell I had pushed myself in the best way. There was also jump roping and an abdominal work out too! There is parking in the back too which is so helpful since I come from Medford!

I attended my first class this week. I’m both sore and excited to go again. The enthusiasm of the instructor and participants was amazing. The workout was tough, staff was incredibly supportive and helpful to both the newbies and the regulars. It’s a great gym. I strongly recommend this for anyone interested in boxing or just getting in shape!

Peter Welch’s Gym is great! My 14 year old son loved his first boxing class and can’t wait to take his next one. Dropping my son off I felt welcomed and knew he was going to receive the right training. I recommend this gym to anyone who wants to learn the art of boxing at any level.

If I could give this 10 stars, I would! My husband and I have been members for about 3 years and this has been the best gym for us! We've done Fighter Conditioning & Strength and have taken classes with all the instructors. All the instructors are amazing and each has their own style/personality which always makes the class fun. We've been able to really reach our fitness goals with the classes alone, I can actually do a pushup now!, and the classes have been the reason my husband has gotten a 100% on his military PT test. If you're thinking about joining, JOIN!!!

The instructor, Elizabeth, was so inviting, and the members in the class were also so welcoming! They all helped to make me feel comfortable and acclimated to the routines. The class was just the right amount of rigor, both in what I learned and what I was pushed to do. I'm excited to revisit Peter Welch's Gym, and continue to learn the art of boxing.

Great first class with PWG! Everyone was so kind and the environment was exactly what I was looking for. No bs, great workout, and the technique classes focuses on genuinely helpful practice skills and tips. Really enjoyed it, can't wait for my next class!

I did the conditioning class as my first boxing class in years. It was an amazing work out - very tough but I enjoyed it. I got some feedback on my boxing technique which I also appreciated- especially given that it was a large class.

I came here to do a boxing technique class. I had never boxed before, but I quickly started picking up what to do with the help of the instructor Pat. Peter Welch's is a terrific boxing gym, and I plan to continue training there. The facilities are nice, and everybody I meet there is even nicer.

This gym is amazing! My 14 year old son loved the class and looks forward to taking more classes and training there. I highly recommend this gym. They also have a waiting area with a large class so that you can see your loved one while they train.

Heard about the class from a friend who has been going and loves it! Glad I gave it a try. It was an intense workout for me, but worth it! The intro class before hand was helpful and a nice way to ease into the class. I Would definitely recommend this class to anyone looking for a good workout.

I had a wonderful experience attending my first boxing class. I ended up working really hard and having so much fun while doing it. Eric was an exceptional trainer. I definitely recommend taking his conditioning class no matter what your experience level is!

My brother has been going here for years and always gave Peter and his team great reviews. It wasn’t until recently when I bumped into one of my girlfriends and complemented her on how great she looked, she told me “she owes it all to Peter Welches gym”. I knew then I had to sign up for a class and give it a shot. Fast forward a week later, my boyfriend and I attended a Sunday morning class and sure enough Peter kicked our butts. I will definitely be back. Thanks for a great workout Peter!

My first class at Peter Welch's Gym was an exceptional experience, fit for both Day 1 beginners and boxers with years of experience. The instructor was professional and knowledgeable, and took time to help students of all experience and skill levels. Not only is Peter Welch's Gym the place to go for a great fitness experience, it clearly also offers high level instruction for those looking to take their boxing to the next level. I would recommend PWG to any of my peers in Boston without hesitation.

I took Fighter Conditioning and had a great experience! Awesome workout that incorporated a combination of cardio, shadow boxing, bag work, and strength. I enjoyed the fast pace and different elements of class -- an hour flew by and I loved it. I will definitely be back.

Tried my first class yesterday and loved it! I called an hour before the class and they let me walk in same day. Eric gave me a quick overview of the punches and footwork before the actual class. All of the staff were so accommodating and welcoming! It made the box seem less intimidating. I definitely recommend this place if you're interested in boxing!

It has been 2 and a half years since I've done a High-intensity cardio class. Actually since I have consistently worked out. I got into the gym and everyone made me feel welcomed. Front desk, other gym goers as well as the trainers Alana and Sean. They all made sure I was well situated and it was easy to strike up conversation. The class, it was great! I felt energized and ready to go. It kicked my butt though. The best part about it - there wasn't any pressure from anyone to do more than what I could do. The class was fun and exciting, and I got to take out some aggression on the heavy bag! Would definitely recommend this to beginners and advanced people. Great time, great environment and great staff!

This Gym is exactly what I have been looking for. The combination of classes and an actual gym is hard to find these days and there is a value to that flexibility. Some days I don't feel like doing a class and prefer to do strictly weights or stretching by myself. The conditioning of the classes is second to none and there is a great social element to them. I highly recommend this gym to anybody regardless of there fitness level or interest level in boxing.

Went to my first class the other night and loved it! I’ve never boxed before but they welcomed me right in. The coaches were awesome and overall a very cool environment. Great workout too. I’ll definitely be back!

I had a great experience attending my first class. I have zero boxing experience (other than challenging a bully to strap up some gloves in middle school). The 30min beginners crash course on the basic punches was helpful and the staff was very professional. The class itself was a great workout and I walked out of there with my shirt drenched in sweat. The class left me wanted to learn more about the technical skills of boxing and didn't leave me feeling like I was left behind because I was a beginner! The whole staff was very professional and willing to help.

Took my first conditioning class last night and was so pleasantly surprised! I’ve trained at other boxing gyms in the past and this gym exceeded my expectations! The environment was fun, upbeat, and inclusive. Got a great workout in and had a blast doing it. Will definitely be back!

I tried my first class over the weekend and it was the fighter conditioning class. I’ve tried several other boxing gyms before and this conditioning class really kicked my butt. It was a great mixture of high intense cardio and boxing with the heavy bag. Highly recommend if you’re looking to sweat and get a great workout in. I’m looking forward to going again!

Tried a conditioning class a few weeks ago and going in for a technique class today. The class and instructor were great and it is motivating to keep going with it, though definitely challenging for someone like me whose a beginner. A friend introduced me to this gym and I'm excited to keep going to more classes to get better at boxing. This gym feels more like very much a "locals" gym which I like better than the idea of a franchise/chain gym.

I attended my first fighter conditioning class this week. It was an awesome workout that consisted of boxing/cardio/overall fitness. The instructor was great and took the time to help out the new people. I definitely recommend checking it out.

I took the strength class with Sean..... I highly recommend this class to start the weekend. This gym is affordable and very clean, and you leave feeling great. There were many folks at this class that go every week, and I can understand why!
