They’re lucky I am not filing a lawsuit. I strongly don’t recommend this gym. Please stay away. This is the worst gym I have ever stepped a foot in. I have a fitness media presence and can’t wait to share what happened at this gym with my followers. Next time I’m getting videos! Multiple witnesses too.

I’ve been a member at CF Braintree for about 2 years, so I think I meet the minimum requirements to leave a review. My gym hours are usually 5AM-6:30am/7am. They’ve gone through several employees in the last 2 years, more than your normal rate. There’s been times when I’d arrive to this gym at 5AM and the door isn’t open bc their employees quit or didn’t show up on time to open. They constantly need machine maintenance and take weeks or months to get it fixed. They never clean the studio room where they hold group classes. There’s always mountains of dust bunnies. The worst part is the current front desk staff they have now (5AM shift), you can absolutely tell she hates working there. Today was my last straw, i walked over to a machine that was out of order that was in perfect shape just yesterday. I don’t have the patience to deal with this gym anymore. I understand, you get what you pay for, but is it even a gym if the equipment is always broken? The rude front desk lady just added the icing on the cake. I canceled my membership today.

Stay away. I signed up for one month after Jake told me to try a month and I can quit at any time with no penalty. He assured me I’m not under any contract. After four sessions I said I did not want to continue. He told me I was already paid for another month, that I had signed for recurring charges to my card. I never heard this, but I know he said quit at any time with no penalty. He said there is no refund. I tried to explain they are taking my money and I get nothing for it as I am not continuing with a trainer. In a later phone call I asked if he cancelled any further charges to my card and he said he did that right away when we spoke. The next moth another charge for $180 was on my card. I got thru to a manager, he told me my three month program requires the 3 monthly payments and any cancellations require a 30 day notice. I never, and I mean never, heard anything about three month program or thirty day notice before. The manager informed me I have trainer sessions to come in for but I get no money back. Do not go to this gym. Jake is a fast talker. If he informed me of recurring charges, I don’t recall he said it. I emphatically know he said try a month, you can quit any time with no penalty and there is no contract requiring you to stay any length of time. Beware, once they have your money nothing you say, do or don’t do will get any back. These people are thieves. One more comment…..I’ve been to many gyms over the years ((I’m 78) since I moved over 15 times, but the personal training I got here was only what any gym will give you free, usually when you sign up. This incident has not only cost me $540.00, but lost sleep and ongoing aggravation.

This gym is horribly mismanaged. Overall dirty with broken equipment. Every afternoon you have a bunch of middle school kids who come in and act as if this is their playground. It is dangerous for the people around them as well as themselves with no experience lifting free weights. On top of that the personal trainers/class instructors act as if they can come and take over whatever you’re using/doing whenever they want. This is not a comfortable or enjoyable place to get a workout in.

Had a trainer he quit to go somewhere else that paid much more was placed with another trainer who flaked. Then another who never contacted me. I Asked for a refund as I was no longer comfortable with their services. That whole month Nick quit I didn’t have access to my workouts and was never provided my additional training. They truly never followed up about my services.. Resolving the issue to crunch means continuing the 4 sessions I paid for what a joke. I don’t feel comfortable and was totally ripped off! Don’t sign up for training the gym is overpacked , over valued , a complete mess and a unprofessional. Go anywhere else.

Clean gym! Definitely check the crowd meter online before coming in just because it’s a medium sized gym and when it gets busy theres no room to do anything. Overall, friendly and helpful staff, good music, and very clean! Definitely recommend

When the moment you walk in, you are greeted by your first name and makes it feel like a family atmosphere. The instructors are too notch and everyone is so friendly. I have been going since they have opened and even with change of staff they seem to find someone to keep the family atmosphere alive. Crunch is very well operated and I look forward to going to the gym weekly.

The gym is a fraud. My daughter signed up for a year membership on Jan 25 2022 and her membership should have expired this year by December. The gym continues to charge money to our account because they claimed they had informed us that when we freeze the account the membership would be extended and we would have to pay the annual membership fees two times which is $59 plus every month $12.99 which is a huge lie. Nobody informed to daughter when she freeze her membership she need to pay the annual fee twice a year. So parents please please don’t send your teenagers to this gym. I will complain about this fraud to better business bureaus.

I deleted my original review which was strictly about the fact that the gym was always opening late on Saturday and Sunday. To the gym management credit, they did hire someone new and since my review a month ago, Alan (new opener on weekends) has been early every weekend since he started. Thank you to Crunch for addressing the late opening issue. Alan is fantastic!!! 🙏

I've been a member here for almost 2 years. I really admire and appreciate every one of the staff and members there. The instructors are the best and the front desk staff are amazing! Would definitely recommend people to join this Crunch facility

Nothing but great experiences here, all the trainers exceed expectations. I’ve done personal training with Joey coming up on a year and i’ve had such a great time. He listens and has helped me reach my fitness goals. The manager Jake he is very helpful and approachable! Great atmosphere here.

Whatever you do DO NOT sign up for personal training here! Terrible service! I trained here for over a year with Adam and he was amazing. He left two weeks ago and no one will even call me back to schedule a session. I had to call in SEVEN times before anyone would even pay attention to me. Jake, the manager for PT, told me I had to continue paying for sessions after Adam left & totally guilt tripped me, saying that it would get him in trouble if I didn't. Of course I didn't want anyone to get in trouble so I agreed - boy did I make a mistake! Now they won't return my calls or schedule me for any sessions, even though all my money has already been spent. Jake texted me once & when I responded with my availability he never texted back. I had to call in ONCE AGAIN to make an appointment. And I swear the only reason anyone even listened to me that final time was because I told the front desk employee the situation. I would have been happy to continue working out there indefinitely but their incredibly terrible customer service, particularly from Jake and Moe, have made it so that as soon as my paid for sessions expire - I am cancelling my membership and never returning. I thought it was a good gym, turns out I had the luck of apparently working with the only competent trainer they had. No wonder he left! If you are serious about training, and expect at least a modicum of customer service, this gym is not the place to go. Please let me serve as a lesson for you and stay away!

I’ve worked with Jake since July 2021 and it has been fantastic!!! He is a great personal trainer. He has been so flexible with the billing schedule as long we communicate about it beforehand, which is super helpful. I feel like I have learned so much about health and fitness thanks to Jake and I’m so grateful for that!! I can’t say enough good things and recommend Crunch enough!!

Nice facility and friendly staff, but my dues went up $5.00 without notice. I spoke to the gym and was told because my contract was up and I am now on month to month. Manager told me it was in my contract. Would have been nice to get a heads up 30 days ahead of time. Crunch nickels and dimes people with their processing fees.

Solid gym, nice equipment & good environment. Just wish they had one more bench press available, as it is almost impossible to get one during busier hours.

Do not do personal training sessions here. Loved my trainer Liz. But, the billing management is dishonest. Just like countless other people said- charged without knowing. Wanted to do 8 sessions. I was auto charged and had no idea. This was never told to me. This is how they get you. Unlawful business practices- steer clear. Change your business policies and be honest with people about personal training. Until then- deal with the countless bad reviews.

Morgan the manager is refusing to cancel or freeze membership for 14 year old sick child. Even though he has not used the gym in 4.5 months. I have emailed, went to gym and talked to her, and phoned on numerous occasions. Now she is saying account is in collections, she will not cancel. Anyone else dealing with this?

I appreciate Kelly, the yoga instructor doing early 🌄 morning yoga. Also Kara is special. They both get you in deep thought, and relaxes the body. I'm glad I'm part of Krunch as a member

Was extremely disappointed when trying to cancel my membership several times due to a medical issue I was refused and told to come back when a manager was available. I then called another day because driving is uncomfortable for me at the moment to ask if they could cancel me over the phone since I came in and was told to return when a manager was present and was refused and given the manager schedule for the following day. The manager was not in when I went and I made the employee take down my note for cancellation. Instead of cancel me promptly when Morgenne came in she put it at the bottom of the priority list and I had to follow up again. I was also charged $18/Month because my contract was up because of this ridiculous delay and lack of compassion. In terms of the actual club itself, it was often dirty, but I wanted the standard Bench Press & Squat Rack that I could not get at a Planet Fitness. They hire teenagers as their daily staff when a manager is not in, which seems to be pretty often and they frequently are too busy chatting up their friends than actually doing their jobs. The club put up fliers all around the gym stating "this is your gym too, please put weights back and clean up after yourself", but the last number of times I was working out there at peak hours not a single wipe machine had wipes in sight, had to ask the front desk to put them out so I could clean up after myself and was greeted with attitude and sarcasm every time. I would also come in at opening every morning and weights were left all over the floor because clearly staff at closing wasn't doing their job. I worry about actual cleanliness and disease that may spread due to the lack of cleaning operations both because there were no wipes available and because I don't think I've ever seen anyone cleaning anything. For the record, I would have given this club a 2 Star if they hadn't been so in-compassionate and irresponsible handling my cancellation. And sadly, I still would have come back after my injury, but now I'll find a better club at a higher tier than this bottom of the barrel location.

Kara, my personal trainer, is the best! I’ve been seeing her for 3 months now and she keeps me motivated. She always makes herself available via text incase I have any health/fitness questions and is always so helpful. If it wasn’t for her, I would have given up on my fitness journey long ago. On top of that, Crunch in Braintree is kept well clean and all of the staff are so friendly. A gym membership that is well worth your money!

The staff behind the desk are great but the gym gets very crowded not enough cable machines. No one seems to care that people leave 45 plates on the plate loaded machines. I would give it four stars but they lack a lot of equipment when it comes to Cable machines. You also have to sign out handles for the cable machines, which is ridiculous understaffed they need to have someone walking around cleaning machines and taking the plates off machines that people leave on or taking control of the gym and getting people to put back the weights. They also need to put some weight trees to put the free weights on.

Amazing gym and staff always welcoming and caring. Been there a year and in my best shape of my life. I make the 40 minute drive from Dighton to workout here over my local one in fallriver . Only thing I want in there is more machines because I'm so in love with this workout thing . They have gotten me hooked .

What a great team at Crunch Fitness - Braintree! My son suffered a severe traumatic brain injury 4 years ago and, against staggering odds, he is working hard to recover. He enjoyed meeting with Jake so much that he allotted money from his very limited income to be able to hire him as a trainer. Jake was no less than excellent; he pushed Peter, encouraged him, and was totally vested in his success. Worth every penny! Thank you, Jake, for being an important part of my son’s recovery. You’re amazing!

I am beyond frustrated with this gym, particularly the personal training. I moved away for a job and tried cancelling my membership and future training session about FOUR times since leaving at the end of March. Since, I have been charged $360 for training sessions that I can't redeem. And $12 for membership renewal. Hopefully after today's phone call with the front desk (since the manager never makes time for me) i will not be charged again. I will update my review if I am not charged again. If there was fine print that Jake and the training program manipulated me with, thats a complete separate issue. There has been no clear communication since I left in the end of March (besides the young asian man who works the front desk who is wonderful). Although I had a great experience with my trainer Kara, it is a shame that I can't recommend this gym any longer. It is also a shame if the personal training program continued to manipulate a young woman after asking multiple questions, asking for clarification, and opening up and bonding with the trainers.

The only reason I come here is because their machines are updated and aren’t repetitively broken in comparison to Roslindale location. The direct disrespect from their female staff is downright disgusting. If I have an issue it isn’t your business to respond. Customer service means you are friendly especially when you don’t own the gym. Maybe it’s because I’m a woman of color but I know this for certain. I won’t be coming here again. I wouldn’t advise it anyways LA Fitness is a way better gym and the staff are always amazing no matter where I go.

I joined Crunch Fitness Gym about 3 months ago and since the first Zumba class I took I was so glad that I joined the club great instructors wonderful staff. Then I decided to get a personal trainer So I had to make an appointment with the Jake the Fitness manager a great líder and wonderful person willing to help you all the time, he recommended Michelle to be my personal trainer. Michelle is the best experience I ever had for a personal trainer she is so sweet and knows her job thanks Michelle and Jake for everything. I recommend Crunch Fitness 100%🤗

Great vibe. Normal gym. Bathrooms sometimes smell for a while or the countertops are wet and sometimes barbells of the right weight are hard to find. But they show up again or you can use a similar weight. Equipment are usually in working order.
