Great, no frills gym. Has all the equipment you would want for weight training or cardio. Staff is awesome, I've been doing weight training with John for a while and would highly recommend!

Very clean location and great price for a gym in the area. There is also a nice size pool.

This is a great gym. The employees are very friendly and the membership services group was great as well. They recently did some renovations that improved the place greatly. The equipment is new as well. It can get busy but all gyms during that 5:30 to 7 time. It is certainly the place to exercise if you live in Charlestown.

I love the YMCA in Charlestown a town I grew up in, and joining with my 2 daughters is amazing, we can't wait to due the Zumba class n other classes they have. The people their seem very nice and the gym is clean. They have an Olympic size pool which we can't wait swimming is one of the best exercises and just to be getting healthy with my , 2 girls it's going to be fun...

I train here 3 times a week and enjoy the positive attitude of my trainer Oscar who knows how to push you in the right way. Good music and an excellent workout environment. And I am seeing results for sure.

The Charlestown YMCA is a caring, active place. The staff has been outstanding during covid, making every effort to keep us safe, informed and exercised. Friendly, helpful people.

My daughter has been taking swimming lessons here. She loves Paige, who not only is a fantastic teacher of the swimming technique, always safe and attentive, but she is also loving, fun, and patient which gives my daughter confidence and a desire to keep coming to a cold pool in the middle of the winter :) There are always varying skill levels and ages in the class and Paige is able to keep it challenging for each kid. We also had lessons with Yan in the past, who was also fantastic, in the same ways. I wish this YMCA offered additional sports activities for the kids which would then make sense for us to become members. Our community direly needs tennis, basketball, etc… please consider this.

The instructors for children’s swim classes are fantastic

Well kept and clean facility with friendly, supportive staff at an impressive price. Rarely over-crowded. Has an indoor pool, which is why I chose this gym (I like running, but treadmills are boring). It's not a huge pool, but it's pretty easy to get a lane. Support your YMCA! They do great things for your community.

Great gym, affordable, & clean. The staff are always friendly and professional. They offer workout sessions with a trainer and have many different classes. The pick up basketball is excellent on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday afternoon. My wife enjoys the womens dance classes and loves the music they play. All the members are extremely nice and willing to help and even offer towels. Thank you to all the staff and keep up the great work!
