    I decided to join Barre in February because I don't like running in the cold and was finding it hard to stay motivated with at home workouts and I am SO glad that I did. I am hooked!! All of the instructors are friendly and helpful, and each class I feel like I am learning something new. Barre class has quickly become such a bright spot in my day/week and I always leave feeling strong and accomplished (even after all the shakes). The studios and dressing areas are always spotless, and they are super conveniently located. I would give it 10 stars if I could, and I am looking forward to many more classes in the future.

    Can’t say enough good things about this studio! I’ve tried all different types of bar studios and gyms, everything from free classes in the park to equinox, and I can truly say that The Bar Method is the best. It’s a great full body mix that’s easy on the joints, perfect for someone recovering from an injury or just trying to get exercise without getting one. The space is airy, clean, and bright. The staff is friendly, remembers names, and gives the most helpful recommendations for adjustments during classes. Give this place a try and you won’t regret it - I even got my mom hooked!

    Love working out at The Bar Method! The instructors here are amazing, kind and caring!! They do hands-on and verbal adjustments to ensure that clients are safely in proper form and are able to fully engage the muscle(s) targeted. I love that every class is generally structured the same way but different exercises are taught each day and each instructor has their own personality/style so it’s been fun taking classes and getting to know each of them! :) I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a challenging yet sustainable, low-impact, fun strength-building workout!

    I started coming to Bar Method regularly about 8 months ago, and I'm so glad I did! The instructors are kind, motivating, and so capable, the studio is beautiful, and I have never felt stronger. I highly, highly recommend!

    Bar Method Boston has done an outstanding job during this pandemic! They got virtual classes up and running right away, so it made keeping my workouts going during the shut down so easy. Now that in studio classes have started again, they have made the studio feel like a safe place to work out. I appreciate how going to classes again helps with some sort of “normal” routine in a very abnormal time -much needed!

    One of my favorite studios in the city! All the instructors are super encouraging and it's easy to follow their instructions. The burn in all parts of your body is real but feeling stronger at every class. Grateful for them motivating me to get back into shape!

    I have been attending classes since 2018. During the pandemic, it was a true highlight of the day to sign in for the wonderful instruction/workout and upbeat music. I have moved away but I continue to take classes 4 to 6 times a week by livestream. This is a great studio!

    Barre quickly became my favorite workout when I joined the studio back in August. Every instructor is so friendly and I love both the general and individualized adjustments that are a part of every class I attend. This is the first time in years that I have been consistently working out because exercise does not feel like a chore, but rather a nice escape at the end of the work day that I can attend and walk out feeling stronger and fulfilled.

    Took my first class this morning with Emi- she was phenomenal! I’ve taken barre classes at other studios before, and bar method is by far the best! The workout was better structured and I felt I worked muscles I didn’t even know where there! I felt focused on and not like I was just another face in the class. The music was awesome, the studio is SO clean, and I didn’t feel bored or like I was at a race to get to the end of the workout. Excited to go back!

    This studio is fantastic! I first started going to Bar Method classes in Chicago, and when I moved to Boston, it was so easy to transition to a new studio. The workouts follow the same structure across different studios, which I love. All of the instructors at Back Bay are very well trained and give hands-on/verbal adjustments to bring you to your best form. The studio is very clean and staff are always welcoming. Can't say enough good things about Bar Method!

    I have taken a number of Bar Method classes through Class Pass. The studio and locker room facilities are gorgeous. The workouts are always good - I have not been to a barre class at any other studio that delivers the same burn you will get at Bar Method. The instructors vary quite a bit in terms of style -- the choreography is very similar from person to person, but some instructors spend way more time calling people out and giving corrections (sometimes kind of forcibly) than others do. I would definitely read reviews of the instructors before signing up for a class, if you can, just to make sure you pick one who fits your personality the best.

    As someone who was new to barre, The Bar Method was the perfect place to get started! All instructors are well versed, friendly, and incredibly encouraging/challenging. I was worried barre alone would get old, however the instructors challenge me individually as they become more familiar with my abilities. It's an intimate environment which I love coming to each day. I have seen a real change in my shape and strength and, for now, have left my other gym and will continue solely with The Bar Method!

    I have been a member for over 3 years & it just gets better! Classes in both the studio & virtually never get easier and it has been the most effective workout I’ve done in Boston! Staff is awesome!

    Love Bar Method & especially the Back Bay studio. After almost 7 years my muscles are tone in ways they never were before & my flexibility is the best it's every been. The instructors are highly trained & always willing to offer adjustments, corrections & safe alternatives if you're concerned about any injuries or personal physical limitations that you may have.

    The Back Bay Bar Method on Clarendon is amazing. I have done cross fit, body sculpting and other types of barre classes but The Bar Method is the best. In particular, the Bar method focuses on isometric exercises that strength core muscles. You can see you body change and get stronger. The location is great and when you are not on the ground doing push ups you can look out to the Commonwealth mall, trees and grass. Plus the teachers are attentive, correct you kindly and are fun!

    I first came to Bar Method many years ago after having some issues with my knee and I never looked back! I’ve tried different barre classes, but Bar Method is by far my favorite. Both studios (Back Bay and Downtown) are very welcoming. Since they make it a point to learn everyone’s name, you can’t slack off! During class, the instructors will correct your form and make hands-on adjustments to make sure that you’re getting the most out of every exercise. The hour (or 45 minutes depending on the class) flies by!

    Bar method is honestly one of the highlights of my day! I joined the bar method community in November while recovering from a injury power lifting- and barre has completely changed how I look at working out. The workouts are challenging but safe, and classes are super efficient. You get a full body workout in 45-1hr! The teachers are enthusiastic, fun, and knowledgeable. Several months in I'm feeling stronger than ever!

    Bar Method in Back Bay has been a Covid lifesaver. Swiftly pivoting to offer online classes and modifying safely for in person attendance. This is a full body workout you can do in your home or in studio. Personal attention (even in a Zoom class) like no other workout experience! Recommend!!!
