If you like coconut, welcome to your new favorite dessert spot! Their magic bars are truly magical, and are a great take home staple. I stopped by today to get some ice cream, and was reminded just how giant their small size is. You can get multiple flavors in your cup, so get creative. They have vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and fruit based choices! Bring your appetite!! I've bought a chocolate cake at their Fenway location as well for a work birthday, and it was divine. You really can't go wrong with anything here. Their store is so neat and spacious, and feels so well ventilated for the covid cautious. A great reprieve from the summer heat!

Interior is beautiful. I had the chocolate pudding ice cream which was delicious!!! Had sprinkles of salt on it which made it special. All their ice creams are made with a coconut milk base unless stated otherwise (sometimes soy, etc). They also have gluten-free cones which I had since I’m gluten intolerant and that was yum.

We went here on a Thurs afternoon and the place was empty. Ordered a small (2 scoops) with gummy bear toppings and found the serving very generous- couldn’t finish it. It was great to visit a place with a variety of vegan flavours to try, and a lot of the flavours were gluten free as well.

After enjoying a delightful dinner, we were in search of the perfect sweet treat to cap off our evening, and FoMu in Boston delivered just that. What sets this place apart is its commitment to being all vegan, which was a refreshing and welcomed change. Vegan ice cream tends to be gentler on the stomach, but sometimes it can fall short in the flavor department compared to traditional dairy ice cream. However, FoMu proved to be a worthy contender. From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was charmingly no-frills. But what truly stole the spotlight was the ice cream itself. I'd highly recommend going for the small size because you won't want to miss out on trying as many flavors as possible. Every flavor we sampled was exceptional. The peanut butter chocolate cookie, with its rich and creamy texture, was a heavenly indulgence. The key lime pie flavor was a refreshing burst of tangy sweetness, and the whoopie pie was pure nostalgia in a scoop. FoMu's vegan ice cream not only meets but often exceeds the flavors of its dairy counterparts. As you stroll through the lovely Seaport district in Boston, do yourself a favor and make a pit stop at FoMu. Whether you're a vegan enthusiast or simply in search of high-quality, delicious ice cream, this spot is a must-visit. It's proof that you don't need dairy to create an ice cream experience that truly satisfies the palate.

Amazing Vegan Ice cream. I have a dairy allergy and I’ve tried a lot of different vegan desserts. These taste exactly like the regular desserts. I had the grasshopper pie with hot fudge and it was amazing. You can even buy toppings for at home use - I bought a jar of hot fudge! Also I love the take a drawing/poem and leave one. I want to do it next time! Would love to see a vegan ice cream flight! Or little ice cream sandwiches.

Nice place, neat location, BUT plant-based ice cream is just not for me. I read that you can't tell a difference, but I vehemently disagree with this, it tasted very different than regular ice cream to me. We tried it because of the great reviews, but just don't care for this type of ice cream. Before going, just know that this is NOT standard ice cream.

There was something missing from the taste of the ice cream - I believe it a mix of was hormones given to dairy cows and antibiotics to keep them from falling ill in their close quarters. I am more than happy to forgo those ingredients. FoMu all the way :D. Loved the raspberry flavor 5/5.

George Howell espresso. Perfect. My grandson has an egg allergy and I found here a vegan ice cream book. Perfect, since I make my own. Yes, it tastes good. Really good. Service is very friendly.

Amazing chocolate ice-cream, so rich and creamy. I love that it's made with coconut milk and completely vegan. Excellent service. Nice space, too! I saw some reviewers recommended getting the mini cup - I did just that and I agree, it is the perfect size if you just want to try an ice-cream flavor. It was plenty for me. I look forward to coming back and trying some more!

Great ice cream. Tasty, creamy… decent portions. Friendly scooper, who was alone busting his tail serving a ton of hungry people looking for a sweet treat. Kudos - he was efficient!

Excellent plant-based ice cream. Vanilla tastes like vanilla, not coconut :) The small was big! We should've ordered the mini, couldn't finish these despite the yumminess.

Amazing vegan ice cream and such a lovely spot to sit in the afternoon. The coffee flavor was so good and the ice cream had a nice texture! Would definitely come back and try more flavors.

Well the other reviews are correct. The best ice cream we've had in a very long time if not ever, vegan or not. If you're in Boston, vegan, non vegan, whatever, just go here!

The vegan ice cream here is pretty good! I strongly recommend the pancake breakfast flavour.

I have a lot of food allergies and intolerances and places like these are my most prized finds when I travel. They don’t have options like this where I’m from and it’s such a pleasure finding spots where I can eat or have a treat without fear of side effects. Thank you! It was unbelievably delicious. It was so good I wanted to order another scoop, but I was too full. If ever I’m back in Boston, no questions asked. I’m stopping here

I loved the old menu as it had way more options. The options now are much fewer but still have plenty of delicious vegan desserts. Favorite vegan dessert shop in Boston!

Saw reviews online and had to try it while I was in town during a heatwave! The ice cream was OK. I have had a lot of vegan ice creams and while the flavors were unique and fresh it just didn’t wow me and it had the downfall of an unpleasant texture. I thought the portion size was reasonable for the price. Unfortunately, the customer service wasn’t great either. Overall, I think the winner was the magic bar - I would absolutely buy one of those again, but would pass on the ice cream.

I cannot believe their ice cream is vegan! It tastes like a regular creamy ice cream. We only found out it was vegan after looking around and seeing ‘earth inspired dessert’ written in the shop. I would definitely go back and try their other flavours. It was really good!

Delicious plant based ice cream, plenty of seating, and good vibes.

BEST vegan ice cream place I've been to. The flavors are vast and you can truly tell how high quality the ingredients are. I am sensitive to dairy so finding this shop has been a true gem.

Wow such great ice cream. I bought the cookies and cream and loved it. Also bought a pint of their peanut butter chocolate cookie ice cream, but that was yummy too. Very creamy and soft like gelato.

Great spot! Clean, lots of seating, good selection of delicious plant-based ice cream. The staff was quick, efficient, & friendly. We can't wait to return & try more flavors!

The ice cream is the perfect amount of richness - I wouldn’t have known it was plant based if they didn’t tell me. The grasshoper pie is amazing if you like tea-adjacent flavors, and there was a good balance of sweet & bitter in the chocolate pudding flavor. You get a decent bit of ice cream in the micro, imo.
