One of the most instagram-worthy cafes in Boston. With beautiful interior and marvelously decorated desserts, Jonquils offers a memorable experience for people looking for great photos. The cakes are decorated with a gradation of colored powders, and their signature flowering tea drinks look stunning. On my recent visit, I got to try some of their cakes including the mango, tulip, and the rose with a Spanish latte. The latte was great, but the mousse cakes were just average for the price as the lack of garnish or toppings made the variations of flavor minimal. Definitely a great place to lighten up your mood, but make sure to go early as possible if you want to try their popular drink and dessert menus.

Hands down best bakery in Boston!! Both the art and the taste is exquisite. Rich in flavor and perfectly created. Was almost too pretty to eat! I also had the Espresso Havana and it was so unique; best of both worlds. It was so sparkly & smooth definitely something you can only get here. Highly recommend Jonquils to all the dessert & coffee lovers out there!!

Great place! First of all, the pastries are so beautiful that you almost don't want to eat them. ALMOST. We tried two and they were both delicious. The one that looks like a tulip had an amazing raspberry flavor and the apple one was especially fun to eat because of the textures. My only complaint is that if you show up later during the day like we did, you won't have as many choices because it seems like they sell out quickly. So head there on the earlier side if you can!

Wow! Talk about a dessert experience. Jonquils offers wonderfully crafted cakes and top notch aesthetics. I initially got the Honey Pear and it was so good that I went for a second cake and got the Autumn Leaf. The general layers of the cakes are mousse, sponge, coulis, and crunch. I liked the flavor profile of the Honey Pear more than the Autumn Leaf. Also, the Autumn Leaf’s was a bit too hard and was hard to slice of with the plastic fork. The cakes were not overly sweet and provided a great combo of visual appeal, flavor, and texture. This place is definitely in my top 3 dessert spots. A bit pricey at ~$10 per cake.

Beautiful desserts and a lovely atmosphere I was so excited to try Jonquils after seeing some photos of their innovative dessert creations, and it totally met and exceeded this expectations. Not only were the desserts visually beautiful, they each had their own delicious flavors and were extremely well balanced. Additionally they had a number of coffee and teas (including some gorgeous and delicious blooming teas) which is always a plus for us tea drinkers. I can’t wait to go back, and bring my friends and family to check it out when they come to visit!

I love the atmosphere at Jonquils. It is so pretty, bright and aesthetic. The quality of cakes, coffees and teas is the highest in Boston! Treat yourself to one of their artisan cakes, it is worth every penny! They taste as delicious as they look. ❤️😋😋😋😋

The service is nice, Atmosphere is decent, the desserts and cakes look amazing and stunning with the looks but when it comes to taste, they’re not as delicious as they look from the outside, they are good, but not great for because I love sweet cakes super sugary. These are decent, but really appealing and cool looking 😍👍

This cafe bakery is the cutest with adorable dessert. The cafe has a bathroom and seat with outlets all through the cafe. There's outdoor, indoor, and lower level seating. The dessert is such a joy to try. It looks cute and tastes really good. The fruit flavors really come through. We got the geometric apple and autumn leaf. Both are super good in their own way. Def recommend.

Great experience. Got there super early since we knew it was popular. The staff were extremely nice and patient while my group browsed the menu for a while. The store itself was gorgeous super clean with plenty of seating. I never felt rushed. The desserts were of course the highlight of the day. Stunning visually and the taste to match. I was visiting my sister in Boston and have decided this is a must see for every time I visit from here on out.

Only downside is it was pretty busy with tourists since it’s right on newbury and popular for the 3d desserts. Not a good place to sit and study. They were really friendly and helped me choose a dessert. The apple looks the best but I’d say it’s the worst flavor wise - 100% go for the tulip! So good! Great coffee too.

Small coffee shop at Newbury st and they have 3D cake. _3D cakes look good and taste great. _Drinks in this cafe shop are not my type, kinda tasteless. _ Staffs are very nice and friendly. NOTE: 3D cake will be sold out before 1-2 pm. But you can order by phone. More convenient for the customers. I will be back

Not only is the presentation amazing, but the taste is absolutely exquisite. We enjoyed our green and black teas while eating our apple caramel and almond apricot tart! Super friendly staff as well, recommend stopping here if you’re ever visiting Boston!!

The first time I went here, I enjoyed what I ordered so much that I came back two more times within two weeks. The first visit was the best (I might have set my expectations too high for the subsequent visits...), but I would still come back again if they put out new creations. I've tried Rose, Tulip, Passionate Love, and Geometric Apple, which is also the order in which I would rank them from most to least favorite. Rose was delicately balanced: smooth, airy, and not too sweet. I don't remember what Tulip tasted like (which speaks to its flavors), but I'm ranking it second because I did not like Passionate Love or Geometric Apple. They were true to the description, but the flavors were just too overwhelming (as opposed to balanced like Rose). However, all the shapes were beautiful and picturesque (if that's your goal). As for the drinks, I liked the Spanish latte even though I'm not generally a coffee drinker. The matcha latte was disappointing because it tasted mostly of milk. The iced coffee was nothing special. The workers are nice and worked quickly, even though the place can get quite busy, especially in the summer. I would recommend getting different chairs because the condition of the fabric on the current chairs are a bit off-putting, and the tables were sticky all the times I went. But the place is self-serve, so I'm not surprised and don't hold that against the place. Looking forward to seeing what else Jonquils puts out!

Absolutely an experience. Desserts and coffee were all gorgeous and tasted just as good as they looked! Most of the desserts are pretty light too which is great. Just all around amazing flavors and beautiful food!

First time at Jonquils and it was a wonderful experience. Cafe itself has such an aesthetic appearance and I also tried to capture this beautiful geometrical dessert with a camera. It looks so much better in real life though. We tried Origami and Caramel Apple. Both tasted amazing together with Lavender Latte. 100% recommend and will come back to try new desserts.

Jonquils is my favorite cafe in Boston! After discovering it on accident when I first moved here, I’ve been back many times to enjoy their amazing coffee (if you’re a coffee fanatic you’ll know this is some delicious coffee), my favorite is the Spanish latte. Their desserts are ALMOST too beautiful to eat and are so decadent. The floral teas are a one of a kind experience and help warm the soul. I highly recommend Jonquils to anyone - the ambiance, flavors, and caffeine fix will leave you in a better mood guaranteed!

To start off with, I have been wanting to go here for quite sometime. I have heard of Jonquil's and had high expectations. Upon arriving to Newbury Street and the surrounding area it was very bustling with cars and people. I drove around the location several times probably half a dozen with no avail to finding a free spot to park on the roadway anywhere nearby. I looked up parking and found that there was a parking garage within a 5 minute walking radius which I chose. The parking was $26.00. :( definetly a high price to pay for a fairly quick coffee trip. So I was disappointed with that fact but I have to give the cafe 5 stars for the desserts, coffees, teas, atmosphere and service. We arrived around 12 there was only 1 woman working at the counter. She was very pleasant and quickly working on getting to everyone in a timely manner. There was quite a few people already in the Cafe and several more in line to order and waiting. We ordered 3 desserts and 3 drinks and were seated and enjoying within about 10 minutes. The desserts were geometric designed and so perfect looking and were sweet and the drinks were very good as well. My cappuccino I asked if she could make a design and she came thru with beautiful hearts. Loved the esthetics of the cafe and thought it was worth the trip. Would definitely highly recommend going if you love coffee and desserts and want a new place to see.

I recently visited Jonquil's Cafe, and my taste buds are still dancing with joy! This beautiful, sunny spot offers a divine selection of desserts, coffee, and tea that elevates the café experience to a whole new level. The star of the show for me was the Rose Latte—a heavenly concoction that transported me to a realm of floral bliss. The balance of flavors was perfection, leaving me utterly enchanted with each sip. It's a must-try for anyone seeking a unique and delightful coffee experience. Beyond the enchanting Rose Latte, Jonquil's Cafe boasts a menu that reads like a sweet symphony. The desserts are nothing short of spectacular, with each bite delivering a burst of flavor that left me craving more. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, providing the ideal backdrop for savoring these delectable treats. The staff's warmth and attentiveness added to the overall positive experience, making it clear that Jonquil's Cafe is a gem worth revisiting. If you're a dessert and coffee enthusiast, Jonquil's Cafe is a haven that promises an unforgettable journey for your taste buds. I can't recommend it enough—prepare to be captivated by the extraordinary flavors that await you!

After seeing the reviews on Instagram and Google we were eager to visit Jonquils and it was a wonderful experience. It had the Saturday morning rush but a short wait helped us secure some seats to savour the desserts. We tried the geometric apple, twisted love, tropical spheres and honey pear and every single one of them did not disappoint. Unique flavors and impeccably crafted desserts which taste as good as they look. We also had the Spanish latte. Definitely looking forward to visiting again to try the rest of the wonderful items on the menu.

Jonquils is like no other bakery I’ve experienced. It is a destination worth planning your day around. The bakery items are pieces of art and then they taste AMAZING! My mom had the mocha cappuccino and loved it. I had one of the flowering teas and enjoyed it… but the desserts are the biggest treat of all. Who knew something this beautiful could be equally as delicious.

I recently visited Jonquils for a friend’s birthday and we were amazed by cute the cafe was! They had tons of great food and drink options and some really unique offerings. Their desserts were all very beautiful-almost too pretty to eat. I got a matcha rose latte and a little pineapple coconut chocolate treat and both were very good. Staff was also very helpful as we had someone with a cinnamon allergy in our party. I would def recommend if you want to visit a very aesthetic place with some interesting and tasty choices.

Was here for morning coffee, and their cakes are amazing: not too sweet, delicate flavors, and dynamic textures. I think the price is pretty fair for the quality that goes into their products. Their coffee is great too. This place always sells out at the end of the day \(T.T)/ so maybe come before the afternoon or call in

This place is so cute and the desserts are literally made to perfection. I’m not joking. They use 3D technology to create the pastries here. I’m never seen anything like it. They are also low in sugar so they aren’t insanely sweet. I had 2 desserts and I loved them both. Definitely a hit. There’s a lot of seating inside, too. I highly recommend if you pass this on Newbury street.

The MOST beautiful desserts I have ever seen! Truly artistic and absolutely delicious. Hibiscus and floral teas were just as delightful. If you’re in town, you MUST check this place out.

The place itself is cute and bright. But the desserts!!!! They looked so unique and gorgeous that I didn’t really expect them to taste so wildly good as well. I was pleasantly proven wrong! All three kinds I tried were divine, and the flower tea was also a treat to the eye as well as to other senses. Will visit again!

First I went to try the individual size apple caramel and double chocolate. The double chocolate is a bit sweet if you have a sweet tooth and a big fan of chocolate. The texture of the apple caramel is soft at outer layer then crunch and apples at the inside layer. I’m not a big fan of Apple but I absolutely loved it and ordered the whole cake size for me and my best friend’s birthday. The appearance of all the desserts are absolutely stunning and tastes good so I will definitely visit again to try the other desserts on the menu. Totally recommend it, it will satisfy your vision and taste.

Jonquils is the cutest place to have a luxurious dessert, they have the nicest staff. The desserts are the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen and the inside are the biggest surprise!! The desserts are so amazing I had to take extras with me to take to CT and bring to my family in NY!! These desserts, and Flora Tea are amazing! I also took a box of tea. I highly recommend Jonquils you truly will walk out with a big smile on your face😊

This dessert place is incredibly creative, both in terms of presentation and taste. I've heard that some of their desserts are crafted using a 3D printer, showcasing real innovation. The space is a bit small, leading to occasional seating shortages, and at times there might be a wait or a queue. However, if you can overlook these minor inconveniences, this place is definitely worth a try.

The little cakes and drinks are seasonal but they're so cute and delicious. I went in August and got a mango and a rose cake and a lavender drink. This January there was an apple and a hazelnut cake. They also made us a mocha latte that was so chocolatey and delicious. I love this place! It's pretty cozy and there's not a ton of sitting areas just fyi

I’ve had this bakery on my list for a while, and finally stopped in for a birthday treat. It was hard to decide because everything sounded (and looked) so good. I went with the pear dessert, and it was light and not too sweet. Perfect! So fun for a little treat. I’ll be back soon to try another one!

While I might not come here more than once by myself, I love introducing this cafe to people because of how visually impressive and interesting the flavors are. In my experience, they have sold out of their desserts by the afternoon, so I would recommend coming here earlier in the day. The cafe itself is very aesthetically pleasing and it's nice for small groups. I have been here 3 times and tried a couple of their flavors. Each costs $9.25, and I have never had one that I didn't love. Honey pear is probably my favorite Honey Pear: pear mousse, pear-honey, confit, hazelnut crunch, hazelnut sponge Passionate Love: dark chocolate mousse, passion fruit coulis, dark chocolate crunch, chocolate sponge Tulip: mango mousse, rasberry coulis, vanilla crunch, orange sponge Rose: strawberry mousse, vanilla pastry cream, dark chocolate crunch, vanilla sponge Geometric Apple: cheesecake mousse, apple compote, caramel, dark chocolate crunch, chocolate sponge

This is the cutest cafe I’ve been to in Boston ! They have really great aesthetic desserts. Each one was soft in texture and had layers of different filling. Staff were incredibly kind as well. Really enjoyed my experience here and would definitely come back! Definitely worth the price as well!

Delicious and adorable place! The Spanish Latte was amazing and the desserts are unbelievable. Highly recommend the mango/passion fruit yellow spherical cube masterpiece if you’re looking for a refreshing dessert. The others are also amazing! Will be going back until I finally try them all!

Jonquils Cafe is an absolute gem in Boston! This patisserie offers an amazing blend of specialty coffees, teas, and delectable treats in a stylish and cozy setting. The attention to detail in both their beverages and pastries is impressive, and the staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. A must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in a delightful culinary experience. I can't wait to return!

Been wanting to go here for a super long time and was not disappointed. The pastries weren’t too sweet and you could see how they had been so well thought through and designed down to the textures, shape, color and flavors. Service was quick and vibe felt very welcoming.

The 3D desserts are exceptional and a visual treat, I had the honey pear ginger sweet. I also ordered a lavender lemonade which I didn't like. It was extremely tart with little sweetness. The cashier wasn't particularly friendly and bordered on being rude. Another staff member approached only our table to request we clean it before we left, but we noticed other tables empty, but dirty dishes strewn about. There is very little seating and the place could use a refresh. I would order my sweet treat to go if I ever visited again.
