SO MUCH FUN! Great spot to bring a group of friends or just go to listen to really great live music. There is an extensive drink menu with really great cocktails to choose from. You can get service standing at the bar or you can get a table with a waiter. I can't think of anywhere else in Boston where you can hear live music like that or get to just request songs, sing and drink all night. The building is brand new and pretty. There is plenty of street parking that's free after 8pm and there's a parking lot literally right across the street. It's a very low-stress place to get to if you're not from around Boston. Such a great time!

What a sad crowd, they won't be in business for long. The place was empty...Horrible singing and they dont play the songs you request after you leave them $10 to play a crowd favorite from Journey or Queen.. reason being...the need to wait for drunker people to show up to sing to said songs....its only been over an hour and a half. Update: we were approached by the "owner" saying that our review was not justified and that this review was poorly written, mentioning that since he owns three other venues, he clearly knows what is best..then we were forced out out of the establishment because of our reviews. I would highly recommend NOT going here. Not only a waste of time but you will deal with rude management.

Spent money to pay the cover charge here and was met immediately with political and hostile messaging from the patrons. Not sure why they would allow this but we felt very uncomfortable and left immediately. Not a friendly place for people of color!! Edited to add: It is clear from your response that you do not care about the atmosphere of your establishment and about losing money from the clientele who don’t feel welcomed. Taking politics out of the equation would be a small gesture with many positive results. When I go out I want to get away from the stress of the world not be met with people screaming about the very same. Oh and we didn’t feel “attacked” or “offended” we felt unwelcome and unsafe.

Bartender and coat rack people were nice but some of the workers were rude. Some threatened to kick us out for dancing near the stage or taking heels off for a moment and were not nice about it whatsoever. Piano man called me out in front of entire venue at a work party lol. I’ll stick to howl at the moon!

[READ THEIR RESPONSE - WEIRD PLACE] You're encouraged to sit. There's live music, but you're encouraged to sit. If you stand in your allotted area and dance/enjoy the song you are questioned, then asked to sit. Weird outcome of a bar that plays live music 🧐 Edit: So the bar just responded on google. We understand dueling piano bars and love singalongs. Its why we came. Was just kind of weird when we danced at our table (out of any viewing angle) your henchman decided that we needed to be sitting. Table next to us was dancing, as was row next to them; maybe there was something you didn't like about our group, who knows. 1 star for the atmosphere of encouraging to sit. -1,000 stars for the belittlement in your review response. Been there 4 times, this is my last. Same as always. The performers were fine, just a weird vibe and internet response confirms it. 2/10 realistically. "Setzen Sie sich noe pesant"-Ownership

I do not recommend this place as the owner/piano player is rude and condescending. We came to D’s keys around 7:30 pm. We did not have reservations, and the bouncer was upfront with us that all tables were reserved but we had the option of standing. We were ok with this and paid the $10 cover. We then ordered drinks, and a server said that she would keep an eye out for a table if one opened up for us later. We appreciated this. There were two other patrons who were also standing. I remember seeing on the reservations page that they only take table reservations for parties of 4+. We started chatting and were thinking if we combined our parties maybe we could get a table together at some point in the night (if people didn’t show up, left early, etc). Out of no where and definitely not being asked for his input, the owner rushed over and basically shot us down saying they are booked and we are completely wrong for thinking we can get a table. He demanded to see my phone and continued talking to me in a condescending way. The three other people present agreed he was outstandingly rude. I expressed that the server told us a table might become available at some point. He then used profanity about the server. He proceeded to yell at the server for simply being helpful and kind. I understand they have a tight reservation policy, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But there is no need to treat people like garbage. We left this establishment as I refused to support an owner who treat his patrons and one of his employees this way.

Mirroring what many others have said online and in person: not a welcoming place. Staff treats you like cattle; the performers are decent but definitely not worth the hassle. You are not allowed to have fun here, despite the stated purpose that this place is for fun. If you smile too much or slightly dance they will threaten you. Real conundrum of an establishment.

Lots of fun with friends! The musicians really know how to put on an amazing show, and I was laughing and clapping and singing waaaaay too many times. A must-go! Fair warning - Bring cash (singles, fives, tens, and twenties). You need it when requesting songs, and the musicians will prioritize song requests with higher cash amounts. You can also write your own message on the mirror behind the band by paying cash.

We had the best time!! The performers are talented, and try to make sure the audience is hearing the songs they want. It’s such a fun place!

Wow. What a mistake. Wasn't expecting much, and they still found a way to disappoint. Every time u breathe, someone is asking for $10. You wanna hear average music combined with a below average environment, this is the spot. Waitress was a sweetheart. I wish google had a zero star option.

The bouncer (assistant manager) is really scary for absolutely no reason. I love this place but unfortunately the bouncer creates and really hostile and scary environment, especially for women. I won’t be going back until this guy is gone.

Saw this placw on Groupon and decided to give it a try with some friends. One of the most enjoyable nights out I’ve had in a while! The musicians had a great sense of humor and almost inexhaustible repertoire. They were all fantastic performers and the night just flew by. Would certainly go back soon.

Wasn’t sure what we were getting into as we got there, it was quiet, kinda slow, and seemed a bit off (it was pretty early) — but when things picked up, they certainly picked up. The performers were great and really funny and the other groups around us made for a great time. The staff were friendly, attentive, and worked fast. Overall, my friends and I had a great experience here!

An unbelievable atmosphere. My friends are between 23-26 and we love stoping in here on a night out!! The talent is incredible and the vibe is legit so fun. We dance and sign and watch people have a blast.. I highly recommend! They are great and know how to engage a crowd. You feel apart of a large group/fam here!

Flew in from MN to watch Shannon perform, with her dad Mike , who is my fiancé. We had the best time! It was so amazing, they really know how to entertain and get the crowd involved. My face hurt from laughing and singing. Shannon was incredible but so was Jeff, Jonno, and Matt. They all really work well together and make it look effortless. They are all so very talented, and they will exceed your expectations!! One major highlight was getting to see Rob perform “ Come Sail Away”…. It was absolutely awesome!!!

My girlfriends and I went last night to D’s keys and it was our first time and didn’t really know what to expect. We had a blast! Not only were all the musicians so talented but they were funny as well. It was an interactive show with the audience and kept us singing, laughing and clapping all night. I highly recommend D’s keys for a fun night. We are in our 50’s and we had as much fun as the people in their 20’s. It was geared toward all ages! We will be back for sure!

I went to the bar with a large group of fellow colleagues (all medical doctors) after a convention, all dressed in blazers and business casual. A table was open to sit at that had a few empty glasses and empty pizza boxes and so we asked the bartender if we could sit there. It was a very packed night and THE BARTENDERS AND WAITERS said it was no problem that we sat. About a half hour into sitting someone in a walked by and accidentally spilled the pizza boxes over, immediately blaming my colleagues sitting there for purposely spilling them on him/her. Others came to their defense saying that our group was openly “attacking” them. The bartenders and waiters came over, but then immediately accused the people of color of sitting in “reserved tables” and having no right to be there (the same people we had asked permission from). They immediately made everyone stand and moved all the chairs away, kicking all the girls out of their seats. The others began screaming profanities, including the n*** word, until the whole group, people of all backgrounds and ALL of whom doctors, had to completely leave the bar. No managerial or other staff came for support. On our way out they exclaimed “have a good night” as most people were crying and being escorted out for doing nothing wrong. Please do not go to this bar as it is prejudiced, not supportive of various cultures, and helped propel racist beliefs among people just trying to enjoy music!!

Definitely one of the best kept secrets in Boston. This place is a riot when they turn songs into parodies, the wheel of challenges and the roasts displayed on the mirror behind the stage. You have to go to really experience how funny the team is. Definitely worth checking out. Even better with a group.

The talent there starts and ends with the musicians. The bartender was both rude and diminutive. And then the main male piano player berated my group because we were too close to the speaker; he's a talent but I wouldn't nominate him to host the Oscars anytime soon. The main female piano player was a joy to listen to though!

Such a fun venue!! however, we sat in the front for a bday and were told to sit down the WHOLE time- aka not fun if you’re looking to celebrate. I would say sit on in the back or on the ends if you wanna get up and have fun. Or be boring and be forced to sit in the front

Came to Boston from Connecticut to visit my friends from school and this clearly new door guy took my other out of state friend and mine's REAL license and bent it with the power of Thanos, completely creasing my only official form of ID (note: I'm 23 with a full goatee). He then threatened to cut them so we threatened to call the police, took them, then left. This door guy says he's "practiced on over 200 licenses" and then goes over and tries to scan our licences on a $0.99 iPhone app. I love the location in Providence but I don't think I'll be coming back to these bars.

Celebrated my 30th birthday this past Saturday at D's Keys. Had a great time with ~20 friends and they gave us the perfect seats (front of the house, but on the side where we could get up a little bit and dance a little bit and I could move around and talk to the different people in the group). That was perfect for us! The only reason I gave 4 starts instead of 5 was for the table service. The waitress couldn't keep up with all the tables she had. We waited an unreasonable time to get drinks from her and then when we got tired of that, some of our party would go to the bar instead to grab a drink. When we did that, the waitress actually came up to us at the bar and asked us to order from her. That felt awkward. We honestly would have ordered from her if it wasn't so slow. Other than the slow drink service in the beginning of the night at the tables, we had a great time and all the performers and other folks that worked there made my birthday amazing!

I'll start by saying the musicians were all great! The place was pretty dead when we went on Saturday night, and my group requested a song (along with giving $10). When the musicians started playing our request, we got up and started dancing, and a staff member quickly came over and asked us to sit because we were blocking a few people sitting further back in the bar (on a different level). He was respectful when asking, but it just seemed weird to me (there were maybe 15 people in there total). Last call was at 1:20am, and the musicians finished at 1:30am. As soon as the musicians finished, that same staff member came up to us and said the place is closing in five minutes. Overall, the music was good, but we didn't feel welcomed there.

This place rocks! So glad we could make it this past Saturday. We visit every time we go to Boston over the last few years. We had such a great time laughing, smiling, and having fun while respectfully dancing in our chairs. The only down side is the people that were standing/ dancing in front of us and bumping our table, which spilled our drinks. The grey haired security guy was excellent and helped resolve our concerns related to the unruly folks in front of us. This is literally a comedy club and we love it.

Five stars is not enough for D's Keys. Back in August I was searching for a place to host a surprise 30th Birthday party for my girlfriend. I also did not tell her friends that this was a surprise engagement party for her. I was emailing and calling all different bars across Boston, and one of our friends said, "What about D's Keys"? We had a party of 40, and out of all the places D's keys were so accommodating and made it so easy. They reserved some high tops in the back, allowed us to bring in Pizza and cupcakes and all our guests ranted and raved about the drinks, atmosphere, and friendly staff. The ownership and staff made our night unforgettable and they really made us feel so special. Whether it is for a night out with some friends, or your next big party I cannot speak highly enough of our experience and strongly recommend D's keys to all. We cannot wait to go back soon. From the bottom of my heart, Thanks D's Keys!

Great place to go with a group if you reserve a table. A lot of people celebrate birthdays here and it’s a lot of fun. The musicians are hella talented and hilarious. The manager is great - slinging drinks.. next thing you know he’s up on stage crawling all over the piano while belting his heart out. I’ve had a wonderful time every time I’ve been. Fun night out for sure. Standing room is a little tough but if you can reserve a table, I recommend it!!

This was an outstanding place to have fun, dance and sing. Atmosphere was nice. The piano duet were great. They could sing and play almost anything you requested. They were outstanding and very entertaining. The barmaid/ waitress (Julie) could make any drink you wanted . She had a great personality and made everyone feel welcomed. My next stop in Boston, I'll will heading back for some more fun !

We went tonight(8/02/19) The cover charge alone was $5 per person, there was no wait, so we sat down immediately and after we were served our drinks, we waited 15 minutes, if not more, before waving some one else down after our drinks and waters were empty because the waitress was playing on her phone. Not acceptable... we were left unattended for more than 15 minutes while the place was NOT busy. To top it off we showed up to our 9:15 reservation early, sang along and participated more than anyone else in the crowd and was told by the female player around midnight that our request with a $5 tip was not good enough because she just played the song..... we had been there all night and she was LYING. To me, the female player and service explain for themselves and I’ll never go back. Do not waste your time and money if I we’re you. Not worth it.

Showed up to D’s Keys late on a Wednesday night just as they were about to close up shop. It was a friend’s birthday and we were visiting from California so they graciously stayed open just for us for an extra 2 hours!!! They are so talented and provided my buzzed posse and me with endless entertainment and a customized experience we will truly never forget. Did not live up to it's name. Maybe an off day... but all of it .. was HORRIBLE ! Simple drink, vodka tonic with lime. Completely flat and slimy limes. Replacement one not much better. Waited 90 minutes for a salad and burger sliders. The sliders - burnt with a postage size piece of cheese. No pickle, onion, tomato, sauce, nothing! The rolls, hard as a rock. Fries - and entire meal - stone cold. Never even came back to check on us or refill our drinks. To her defense, it looked like they were really understaffed. Could have done better at the kiosks in the Garden.

I have mixed reviews about this spot. Cons: Service was shockingly terrible, and I write that with 10 years of waitressing experience. We now live abroad and wanted to try some new beers as MA has a great beer scene, when we asked what beers there were she was clearly bored and annoyed and offered the usual Budlight, Corona and Heineken... What a missed opportunity to upsell. Then she flat out said, "I really don't care." when we politely asked if she could put a hold our food order as our friends were late. Maybe it wasn't her night, maybe she was tired, but I really couldn't believe how she treated us. We are fun, laid back customers, this really put us off. Food was average with Boston pub prices, nothing incredible. Pros: Drinks came quickly and food was at least hot. There are plenty of screens and the environment is cool, with what seems like 3 floors to enjoy games and hanging with friends all together. Overall: Truly disappointed by the service, food was average but atmosphere is great.

Could you please keep the music down during midnight on both weekdays and weekends? It’s really annoying for residents in the neighborhood.

My friends & I came here for the first time and we had a great time! We were on the top floor, the drinks were decently priced and the music was great and not too loud! Would recommend this place if you are just trying to go out and have a good time.

So loud in here with a DJ on game day for some reason... you literally can't hear anything. Also, no drink specials... we left within 5 minutes.

I booked a table here for a bachelorette party, and the group had an awesome time! We got there right before the show started and it was fairly empty, but the place filled up fast and had a great crowd and atmosphere. Servers take orders and bring drinks right to the tables which is super convenient. Really fun place, and will go again!

Wow, our birthday group was here for 4.5 hrs. What a talented group of musicians who have the ability to keep a crowed sucked In! Great service and drinks, we had a blast. As for Kaila........ Good luck !!😅🤣😂😅🤣😄😁😂

We came here paid the $10 to get in, then had to pay per song for them to play. We put in 6 songs, was here 2.5 hours and they only played 1 of our songs. The waitress was cool though.

Lots of fun ! Tried to make a reservation but couldn’t due to it already being booked. We asked the lady at the desk to see if we could grab a table if guests didn’t show … we got one! The manager was nice enough to help us out and got to enjoy the show while sitting.

I visited Boston for New Years weekend and spent the NYE at D's Keys. I had an incredible time. It felt like I was spending the evening with several hundred of my close friends. It was very inclusive and friendly from making the reservation, to entering the venue, to departing at the end of the evening. The musicians were incredible by playing so many requests and being very animated. I can't believe they knew so many tunes. Any time I am in Boston I will definitely plan an evening here. I started 2023 off right with D's Keys and look to return very soon. Locals should make this a prime date night or a boys or girls night activity. Thanks Matt and team!

The musicians were phenomenal! Not only on pianos, but drums & guitars too! Wish I could say the same about those running the establishment. Special listed was a bucket with 5 cans Truly. My husband and I figured we’d be there for several hours & it was located in our hotel, so we ordered it, only to be told that special is only for parties of 3 or more (doesn’t say that on the menu though). After paying a $10 cover charge per person (which we saw could be waved if we showed our hotel key… also was told that is not done anymore, so we paid.) The musicians more than made up for the poor management though & we had a very enjoyable night! And after all, the entertainment was what we were really there for.

It’s pretty easy to get in on a Friday night. Cover is only $10. Drinks are reasonably priced. The mystery beer in a bag is fun. I liked the pianos and vibes but found the singing to overpower the piano playing.

My group was looking forward to a fun Sunday night out, only to find out that this place was closed unexpectedly with no signage, no alerts on their website, nothing on social media, etc. We were not the only ones disappointed, as there were several other parties wandering around on the sidewalk only to encounter locked doors, no lights, and no information. Had to find another venue for the night. Extremely unprofessional of D's Key to be closed without notice, especially since all their advertising clearly stated they were open Sunday nights. Would not recommend relying on this place for entertainment.

Great place to come with friends if you like music. The drinks are very basic and I recommend coming after 9pm. $10 cover per person. Definitely a fun time with a group.
