Came
in
to
try
during
Dine
out
Boston.
I
frequent
the
north
end
and
actually
really
enjoy
some
of
DePasquale’s
other
“ventures”.
This
was
not
one
of
them.
Upon
coming
in
the
hostess
saw
us,
I
said
hello
and
she
walked
away.
When
she
returned
she
waited
another
few
minutes
before
greeting
us.
Not
a
welcoming
environment
which
for
me,
as
a
person
of
color,
is
a
big
deal.
Could
have
just
said
“I’ll
be
with
you
in
a
moment”
We
were
seated
with
menus
which
was
great
because
our
serving
didn’t
get
to
us
for
about
ten
minutes,
but
they
did
get
us
water
sooner
than
that.
When
we
arrived
the
restaurant
was
busy
but
not
overwhelming.
Within
20
minutes
of
being
there
two
or
three
tables
emptied.
Waiter
was
a
bit
aloof.
My
husband
wanted
to
try
a
wine
so
the
waiter
left,
came
back
about
20
minutes
later
and
asked
if
we
wanted
to
order
drinks.
Rather
than
bring
it
up,
we
ordered
a
bottle
we
knew
we
liked.
Put
in
our
orders,
fine.
Our
appetizers
came
out,
we
finish
them,
and
still
are
waiting
for
our
wine.
Granted
I’m
not
really
sure
it’s
our
waiters
fault
they
usually
have
the
sommelier
grab
it,
but
it
was
a
weekday
so
who
knows
if
they
were
there.
Waiter
comes
back,
says
they
dont
have
the
bottle,
we
ask
for
a
recommendation
and
they
bring
it
just
in
time
for
our
main
course.
Good
rec
I
will
say,
I
posted
it
here.
To
be
honest,
dine
out
Boston
is
supposed
to
be
an
opportunity
for
restaurants
to
showcase
their
menu
and
cuisine
and
for
people
to
come
in
and
try
new
places.
The
app
and
entrees
were
okay.
Nothing
special.
If
you
want
top
tier
Italian
in
the
north
end
try
Mamma
Maria,
Arya,
or
DePasquale’s
other
restaurants
like
a
Bricco
and
Trattoria
il
Pannino
etc.
The
desserts
however
were
really
good.
The
Earl
Grey
Panama
Cotta
was
delicious.
We
were
fighting
over
the
last
bite.
Ended
with
an
espresso
martini
(obvi)
but
theirs
was
not
the
best
as
there
was
too
much
powder
on
top
and
it
was
much
creamier
than
a
normal
espresso
martini
.
Couldn’t
even
taste
coffee.
Save
your
money,
and
walk
literally
across
the
street
to
Ciao
Roma
for
one,
trust
me.
Underwhelming,
but
honestly
glad
I
tried
it.
