this place is truly a gem! it’s spacious and quite. when we went it wasn’t overcrowded. there’s a skatepark, playground and trial to ride your bike or skate. there’s also a tennis court. the playground is fun. there’s wood chucks on the ground and huge slides to slide down. i feel like the age range could be from 4 - 12 . they also have a cute reading station with toys. the parking is strange but read the signs.

Beautifully kept trail. I’ve traced a nice route from Ruggles Station to Jackson Station in Roxbury. Great space for a run, walk, and working out. Most people are respectful to social distancing and mask use. Check it out! Runs from Jamaica Plain to the Back May area.

I am a regular visitor to the Jamaica Plain section of the park. I used to commute by bicycle from JP to the Melnea Cass path to the Boston medical campus. It's a tremendous resource. I always appreciated how promptly the snow was plowed so that bike commuters could ride in any weather. Now what we really need is a dog park in the JP section!

Otherwise known as the Homeless Hiway. Can't speak for everyone, but most of them are good hearted people just down on their luck. Buy one a coffee, ask them if they've eaten. Help bring a smile to their day !

Cute little park space in the South End area of Boston. It is over top the Orange MBTA line, so occasionally you can hear (and feel!) The trains below, but the wild flowers are stunning in the spring and summer. This space has a few basketball courts adjacent, as well as a few small community gardens, a children's playground, and a paved dog park. Overall, quite a nice place for an evening walk.

This is such a great little ice rink. It's a public ice rink so the rental skates aren't in the greatest condition. The staff is very friendly. It doesn't have the smoothest surface and I haven't seen a Zamboni freshen the ice, but it's a nice cheap place to learn to skate.

The Southeast corridor has walking and biking trails. It runs from Forest Hills Station past Ruggles. There are some kiddie parks along the route.

This is a cute park with a nice climbing structure, merry go round and zip line. It's a little dangerous because folks can ride their bikes pretty fast along the bike path.

Boston did a great job of making a diverse green way, with places for both social gathering and floors/fauna. The wildflower meadow with bee pollinator hives is a nice touch. Water spray features keep the kids entertained.
