👍👍 The food trucks here are awesome, plus the tadpole playground, frog pond, and carousel are all right here. You can sit by the fountain and have a bite while your kids play. Plus, so many cool things are accessible from here: the entire theatre district, Boston common, Soldiers and Sailors monument,... People often mention fountain,

The food trucks here are awesome, plus the tadpole playground, frog pond, and carousel are all right here. You can sit by the fountain and have a bite while your kids play. Plus, so many cool things are accessible from here: the entire theatre district, Boston common, Soldiers and Sailors monument, the great elm, Newbury street shopping, and the flower gardens and swan boats, to name a few.

If you hit the Common via Tremont St, this fountain is way to the left. It's hard to miss. Just follow the tall spire of the imposing 19th century church. Once here, enjoy the coppery hues of this fantastic fountain with it's sculptures. Plenty of food carts around. Many restaurants as well. Good to munch on a snack and enjoy views of the golden-domed state house!

A great place to sit and enjoy music, and the setting. The tables are a little old and dirty, but the chairs and benches are fine. The fountain is beautiful and this is where I like to bring a lunch and sit.

After reading the book 📖"Monuments Men" and now reading the water 💦 fountain's ⛲ Wikipedia page 📄, I'm very impressed by the history and facts about Brewer Fountain ⛲. Finished in 1867 . I'm glad it was repaired because it looks great 👍! Benches to sit nearby. If you are into art 🎨, sculptures or history, stop 🛑 by and see what you think 🤔.

One of the nice spots on the Historic trail. I recommend the historic trail for visitors. It is a very convenient way of walking the downtown Boston.

One of the most interesting things to find at the Boston Common is the Brewer Fountain situated just off Tremont Street, near the Park Street T Station. This is a bronze replica fountain of the award winning French original at the 1855 Paris World's Fair that was financed and installed by Boston merchant Gardner Brewer. The fountain is quite elegant, adorned with mythological gods Neptune, Amphitrite, Acis and the nymph Galatea with a series of water spouts filling the basin which surrounds the fountain structure. Tip: You will pass by the fountain in route to the Massachusetts State House if you are starting the Freedom Trail sightseeing from the nearby Visitor Centre.
