One of the best ethiopian restaurants I have had the pleasure of eating in. They are super small and homey, however their food is incredibly bold and full of flavor.

Really delicious food with fast service and reasonable prices. I got the vegetarian sampler and will be coming back to try more!

This place has gone downhill, maybe due to staffing issues. They answer the phone with "Hello?" they don't say "thank you" and they mess up your order. No complaints about the food quality and in the past, the employees have been courteous and professional.

Wow! I was so impressed with the food! We got the meat combo for 2 and the amount and quality of food was so satisfying. All of the vegetables were well prepared and the meat was delicious. $35 for 2 people to eat a healthy and hearty dinner was a great value. The lady working there was very nice as well. I wish I lived in Boston so I can come back frequently! Excellent place!

This was my first experience with Ethiopian food and I am kicking myself for not trying it before! The food was delicious and it was such an amazing experience! The staff was so kind and very tentative, they answered any questions we had. Everything we ate was delicious, I don’t think you could get anything that wasn’t

The food was fine, the service was terrible. We received only 2 glass of waters for 3 people at the table and noone ever bothered to bring the missing one. It took very long time to have our appetizers served. The mango juice and giner tea did not arrive until after the main meal, and a prompt about them was needed. Finally, two meals were mistakenly added to our bill and it took long minutes to sort it out. I enjoyed the food, but the service spoiled the experience, and the place does have pretty underwhelming ambiance. Overall, I am not looking forward to be back.

We got the six vegetable meal for two and it was shockingly bland. The injera (kind of a spongy, soft Ethiopian version of bread) was good and the portion was generous. The best part of the meal was the sambosa appetizer. Despite having plenty of seating in the restaurant, they only do takeout (contrary to what is shown on their Google page), which was a bit disappointing since it was pouring out and had we known, we would have gone elsewhere.

Food was great and staff is wonderful. Since Saturday night, they were busy but had open seats. Loved ethiopean coffee and ginger tea and sambusa. Definitely will go back.

After a 90 minute float at Cloud Nine down the street, it was time for something delicious. We’ve been looking for an Ethiopian restaurant for a while. This one’s good. We ordered the two meat combo for two, and it came with a stack of injera. Tasty and spicy, nice fresh veggies and lentils. Good meat stews. The ginger tea was good and strong. Great date night in the ‘flatbreads of the world’ series.

A very small eatery that easily compensates for the space with delicious food and service. The wait time is long -30-40 minutes if you don't prebook. Ordered food for 4 and shared the same from a single plate. A unique experience and would certainly recommend it if you want to try Ethiopian food in a fine dine space.

Great little spot! We really enjoyed the lentil sambosas. We also tried the spinach sambosas but the lentil ones were the clear stand-out! My wife had the yebeg tibs and I had the vegetarian combo. The misir wet was absolutely amazing!

Incredible food!! So flavourful - the vegetables and the meat was amazing, would definitely return. Customer service was also great! Oh, and two people ordering two mains and a drink came to $42 before tip - unheard of in Boston for this quality food. Incredible value for the price.

I came here with my parents and we ordered the vegetarian combo for two and then two meat dishes. Everything was absolutely delicious! The cottage cheese collard greens appetizer was to die for, the lamb was so tender and delicious, and the lentils were spiced to perfection. For a drink I got the ginger tea, which was so good. Our server was so sweet and made sure we had everything we needed, from water to extra bread to napkins. Good and service were a 10/10, I highly recommend!

Excellent vegetarian platter for two, with good variety. The lady working there was also very kind. Also, you shouldn't miss their ginger tea, it's impeccable!!

I love this place! Such delicious food with a great atmosphere in the restaurant. Everyone who works here is so kind. After eating a meal here you actually feel good because the food is so fresh and healthy. I love the vegetarian plate for 1 but their meat is also great. Thank you Ethiopian Cafe!!

Excellent food & intuitive service. Definitely try the lentils! The flavor is out of this world. I ordered the doro wet which had a very tasty sauce. Our server was very hospitable & went above & beyond to make us feel comfortable. It gets a 4 out of 5 because the doro wet came with the two tinniest chicken drums. So if your vegetarian I’d highly recommend this restaurant. If you’re a meat lover not so much.

Ordered kitfo for take out and it turned out to be really good. I was looking for kitfo at other Ethiopian restaurants, but couldn't find it. I immediately went to Ethiopian Cafe when I heard that they had it at the restaurant, and it did not disappoint. You should definitely try the kitfo if you are into beef dishes.

Nothing special. I ordered vegetable salad. There were beans and carrots with ginger, garlic and onions. Or rather there was a lot of stewed carrots and no ginger garlic and onion could overshadow it. 🤢
