When I originally found this place, I laughed at the name. Anyone that names their restaurant "great", "yummy" or any thing like that, they better live up to their name which usually doesn't happen. Until Yum Mee. This place looks like a hole in the wall which usually means good food. They definitely lived up to that expectation. Delicious food, tender flavorful meats, moist rice, and large portions that you can add on to. Highly recommend

Ordered multiple orders of bao, with the menu stating clearly the amount of bao per order. We ordered 5 orders of bao and some dumpling. We received 1/3 of the amount of bao, staff admitted and apologized for mistake, however management argued, said we received the bao and the order was correct. But getting the wrong number of items aside, the food was subpar and overpriced, the chicken bao ordered ended up being beef, and the dumplings were average at best.

The food here is awesome. That being said, I’ve ordered from here 4 times and have had an issue every single time. A few times I’ve showed up to pick it up after online ordering and it was clear they never made it so I had to wait over a half hour for my food. Last night was the last straw as I decided to go order in person to circumvent this problem. The guy at the counter was passed out and could not be woken up. Get someone better to run your front of house.

The only reason I give 1 points is because I can’t give zero point .

Nice noodle shop with what I guess is permanent nada cart (empanadas). I had the sichuan noodles with brisket and was excellent. Nice tasty broth with chunks of meat and quite a large portiom even if the bowl looks small. Also had the bao with spicy pork, tasty but batter is a bit denser than i like/used to. Had empanada today and was quite good. 1 isn't quite enough for a meal but 2 would be.

When I first started going there (2015) the food was good! My last visit I ordered shrimp fried rice. I was given days old tiny hard shrimp fried rice. Never will I eat there again.

I've been going there for more than 10 years I live across town in Hyde Park and I drive all the way for the same thing every time. ... Fried rice, crab Rangoon (best I've ever had), beef teriyaki, chicken wings. I don't stray..... and who put me on to the place is a real foodie ...an old co-worker

Yum Mee has re-opened for a second time and now it has a totally different Menu. Sadly it is mostly Noodles. Our old favorites in the Chinese Menu are gone. Not worth going to anymore.

Long standing spot offers American Chinese food with absolutely nothing special or exciting about it. Most neighborhood restaurants have upped their game in some way. Yum Mee remains unremarkable and hardly worth it. Uh.

I love Chinese food, but sadly Yum Mee doesn’t do it for me. The fingers were batter-heavy, the lo mein wasn’t flavorful, and the orange chicken I got lacked the citrus flavor and seemed a lot like TGI Fridays frozen BBQ chicken bites or something. The rangoons and beef Teriyaki were good, but the rangoons suffered from what looked to be a home-made Duc sauce that had a grainy taste and feel like old honey that made me feel a little sick afterwards

Absolutely amazing bao. We also caught them in the middle of a Nadas empanada popup and the empanadas were amazing.

Best snail rice noodle in the town! I really enjoyed the dried noodle today. Fresh, tasty and authentic! If you can eat spicy food like Sichuan food, then you should ask for extra spicy.

Most clutch cheap/affordable chinese in the south end. Sometimes they do reuse rice and it's notable by the bitter taste. Good about compensation though. They don't clean the poop out of their shrimp if that concerns you.

Went to this place pretty late at night. I'm happy to say it was a good experience. The food was amazing, service and hospitality was spectacular. They were very accommodating and were very welcoming. Immediately greeted us with a smile and some laughs. Yummee is a 10/10, and very yummee ;)

So basically when I got in there was a lady and she was incredibly kind to start off. She then took my order and I waited. There was an Uber eats guy that was sort of complaining about the wait and I could tell the lady was short staffed and stressed and I felt to bad for her and she was so sweet and offered me a drink and an extra bao bun which where the best things ever!!!

Horrible food with no flavor at all, ordered one of the top recommended dishes and it has no flavor at all. Way too expensive to have no flavor!
