Just a really good bar to get cheap drinks. The person who gave this place a 2-star review because "there was a guy furiously playing Keno" also complains that water is too wet. If you've ever seen this place from the outside, and expect to go in and NOT see a grizzled MBTA employee still in uniform on his 13th Evan Williams next to a snow bank of crumpled keno tickets, then you have no grip on reality.

Super cool experience at Drink! The bartender, Frederic, had a great personality and his extensive knowledge on drinks was crazy. We had to wait over an hour to get in (arrived at about 8 PM on a Saturday) but it was worth it! Drinks were awesome. Updating my review: Came back here when I had guests in town. Another great experience - didn’t have to wait at all on a Thursday evening, drinks & food were great. Churros were tasty but the chocolate sauce they were served with was weird with them. Fries were really good and large. My guests said it may be the best espresso martinis they’ve had!

Tricky to find, but once you do ... oh my gawd! No wait on Friday night at 6. First round of drinks were amazing and exactly what we would have ordered if there were menus! It was a delight watching the bartenders work their magic! After my hubby's first drink he asked for something similar, but lighter, and that's exactly what he got! In a cute little tiki cup, no less 😁 Super fun experience. My only regret is that we didn't get a chance to go back a second time (the apps others ordered looked amazing).

Normally this place is a 5/5. The wings are the best in the area. But today one of the bartenders was so rude it made me never want to come back here. The brown hair girl with large glasses refused to even ask me or my cousin what we wanted to drink and several times we found her glaring from across the bar at us to the point where we left because it was that uncomfortable (Molly I believe her name was). I would like to add we were the only 2 girls sitting at the bar and all the men sitting around us were getting great service and smiles. When she finally came over and took our drink orders, I had to flag her down. She wouldn’t make eye contact, threw the check down in front of us and didn’t even respond when I said thank you. I’ve been coming to Junction for years with great food and great service, but after the uncomfortable looks from the single bar tender I will be reconsidering the places I dine at in Southie.

A must try if you are in Boston. One of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. They make them from scratch just listening to your preferences a true mixology bar. Plus the food is also really good, please try the fries. The ambiance of this place is excellent for a night out with friends or a date. You can sit at the bar an enjoy watching the barman make magic with the drinks.

Had a fantastic drink after working remotely. Great spot for happy hour. Only had a short wait and was able to be seated. They don’t have a drink menu, you just have to say what you prefer and they will craft something custom for you! Had a fantastic time!

Don't show up if you're 30 with your wife. Bouncer with a weird nose will have a hard on for you. Don't try to have fun in line, if you have to wait for 40 minutes, you won't get let in. If you are an unconciousious female, you will get the red carpet. Again, don't have fun in line, you won't get in, no matter what people around have to say. Weird nose bouncer only prefers women who can barely pronounce words. If you want in, drink in line but never have fun, that is a no no here. Again, just drink booze in line but don't ever have any fun. I guess this bar discourages having fun.

Great bar in Southie. Tends to attract the young locals tired of the Lincoln/Loco scene. Live music and a consistently friendly crowd makes this one of my favorite bars in the neighborhood.

Went here on St Patrick's day for the first time. Had a $10 cover and it was well worth it. Full of the Old South Boston crowd , which is a dying breed these days. Drinks were cheap and not watered down , no food but a great atmosphere.

What a great concept! Small bar. No menu! You describe what your drink should be and let the expert make the concoction.. must try. No reservations so you have to wait in line. But it’s a good experience

My wife and I had an amazing experience, our server Mika was super sweet and nailed it on every drink. We told her some of the ingredients that we liked and she would prepare something completely new every time. The food is also amazing and great vibe as well.

Hands down the best cocktail experience I’ve had! I love that they customize a drink just for you based on what you like and don’t like. This was recommended to me to check out during a girl’s trip in Boston and I’m so glad we did. Derrick - our bartender - was AMAZING! Not only was he a master mixologist, he made the experience really fun and had a great personality. He made my friend and I 3 different drinks each throughout the night and we told him we were going to rank them with a points system. 😂 he played along and truthfully it was hard to choose our favorite because they were all so good! Can’t wait to go back to Boston and have a drink at Drink!

Great little down under Cocktail bar! Great bartenders! Great Cocktails! They'll make whatever you call, but also have a vast knowledge of mixers and spirits and will make you something you'll love based on components you identify as enjoying. They take pride in their creations and all Cocktails are made with love. Great Sazerac! Great Negroni! Fred was down to earth and a very nice man who clearly takes pride in what he makes for you. Dan was also veey friendly, knowledgeable and sweet! Thanks for creating a drink for me with ferret brwnca just because I wanted to see what it tasted like in a cocktail--you made it good! Will definitely go back when in town again.

Consistently creative and delicious cocktails. Who would have thought to add green chartreuse to a spicy margarita?!… total game changer. Don’t even need to look at the menu just tell them what you like and they will customize a drink for you.

Bespoke cocktails in a unique, garden level space. Great ambiance. No sign on the door which adds to the allure so... iykyk. We waited in line for about 15 - 20 minutes but worth it. The drinks were delicious, fresh and exactly what we wanted. The music was cool, the crowd was young and trendy. The a/c was kicking and was too chilly for us. I think the waitstaff's aprons need to be bleached because something smelled mildewy, but I am exceptionally sensitive to smells. Bartenders were friendly and knowledgable. Overall a super cool spot and a great experience. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time with a very talented and attentive bartender. I threw out some crazy combos (Jamaican rum nightcap & pimms cup but boozy 🤨) when I tasted each drink my mind was blown. This place is an absolute gem and I’m glad I got to experience it.

This is place was recommended by a lot of people and we were finally able to get a spot. You need to come in early and wait in line to get in but its all worth the wait. The concept of this place is great. A bartender asks you the alcohol base and flavours you like and then he works his magic and mixes an amazing cocktail. There is no menu so you can ask for anything. We were 5 people and everyone gave their own wish list for the bartender to work his magic. Our favourite was this vodka and saffron based drink that he made and it was one of the best cocktails I have had ever. The other ones were also great. There was nothing that we did not like. They have a small menu for food as well. We got the fries and churros to go along with the drinks and its the best combination ever. Its a great place for a night out.

Very cool experience! Waited about 10 minutes in line on a Friday night to get in. The atmosphere was very nice. The experience of explaining what kinds of flavors/liquors you like then getting a customized drink was very unique and fun! The bartender was professional and knowledgeable. Admittedly, the drinks were not my favorite, but they were so different and quirky that they felt specially designed for me.

Staple bar in the Boston seaport. Though it's hard to get in from time to time, drink is well worth it for getting a tailored cocktail for your preferences and tastes. The best part is the drink menu - you go in and describe what you would like to the staff before they make something for you. It's a wonderful way to encourage you to think creatively and get something you would not get anywhere else. Contrary to their vibe, drink also has sizeable food dishes. That said, the only downside to the venue is that this is primarily a place to go for drinks given the seats available - high chairs and bar seating predominantly. The price is indicative of the seaport, so be ready to spend. For those drinks though and service, it's worth it !

Had a pleasant lunch after the Boat Show. The food was very good, as were the drinks. Prices were very reasonable and we had excellent service. Atmosphere is cozy, despite having several TVs around. This is a good spot for a casual bite.

Service was slow, even though there weren't many patrons there, at least when we first entered. I would agree with the previous review, which stated that they needed more servers on staff. Food was just okay. As a vegetarian, options were not great. The quesadilla I ordered was barely better than something I could have made in a college dorm. That said, they did have good sweet potato fries, and my meat-eating friends were more pleased with their meals. All shared the same discontent regarding the service, though.

Looked like a cool small spot has fun sayings about beer on the wall. Food was awful. Ordered the chicken tenders on the bartenders recommendation they were plain had no flavor "eh" place was dead. There's plenty of other spots walking distance to check out instead. I recommend the lincoln same night had live music and a good crowd

Don’t let the neighborhood fool you into believing this is a rough joint. The 7-11 next door was pretty wild so I had some reservations about what might be going on inside The Connection. But it was excessively clean and under control and even had a few decent beers on tap! Highly recommended.

This place gets an A+ for cleanliness, the windows really add to the welcoming atmosphere. I have NEVER had nor seen any type of "trouble", the clientele ranges from 22 yr old girls, who come for the music & to dance. Then you have your blue collar construction workers, your suit and tie businessmen, I could go on about this place, the prices r unbelievable! It's a shame that some people won't even give it a try because of the location, which is ironic because it's right across from the Andrew Train, so it's probably safer than the places on Broadway, where you have to park on dark, secluded sidestreets.

Fantastic bar with a high energy atmosphere. Bartenders take time to understand your tastes and ensure your drink is to your satisfaction. They use fresh ingredients and high quality liquors. Expect a wait, but it’s well worth it. We will definitely return when we visit Boston again.

This place is probably better at night or pre covid.. I remember telling the bar tender what I would like, something similar to Long Island, and they served me something similar but I something I never had.. this time around, I asked for the same but they just served me a Long Island.. the drinks were alright but you have to order food with your drinks.. a state mandate.. our server seemed very passive aggressive about us not ordering food but we did in the end, $7 fries..

I have been coming here since it opened and the Seaport was really beginning to get built up. It’s almost like a speak easy in that it has a “hidden “ feel to it. The staff is not only super fun, kind, creative and accommodating but they define the term “ mixologist “. This is a great spot for a first date or a girls night . Highly recommend !

Great location for an after work meet up. The space is a decent size a little cramped so make sure you don't mind being brushed on every now and then. Other than that the mouth watering small bites are amazing My altimeter favorite is the chunky cut fries. Drinks are better than expected not to usual bar drinks these are made from scratch and totally worth the show. Talented bartenders who make sure you stay hydrated. Make sure you tip them well.

Such a fun spot. I'll always love a bar where creativity is king. Hunter was our bartender and he was fantastic. Making drinks based on flavor profiles is hard and he really just hit the nail on the head with a lot of his drinks. The biggest winner was definitely our last drink, he made a bananas foster kind of espresso martini - it was amazing,

Friends and I went here Sunday night. The place was "special" because of many rules. It offered customized cocktails by flavors you named it without menu. It served a small group of people less than six so you could be blocked if the number of friends is above seven. I didn't give a higher point to the food because we ordered fries only and a couple of cocktails. I think the place is good for 2-3 friends to gather together here.

  • 5/5 Josh N. 5 months ago on Google
This place was honestly one of the highlights of the nightlife we saw in Boston. The food was spectacular, the drinks were literally some of the best I've ever had due to the creativity and passion of the bartenders, and the service was on an entirely different level of amazing. The prices for the experience we had were so cheap it felt criminal. Between my fiance and I we ordered 4 of the best cocktails and 2 of the most creative shots we've had in a long time and 2 entrees + dessert all for $100 before tip. A steal for this experience in my opinion. Unfortunately, we were unable to get the name of our bartender for sure (I think it was Hunter) because we were having too much fun and the bar was busy but I know he's from South Florida, is in his early twenties, and was wearing a pretty cool floral/Hawaiian shirt. Plus he had some pretty dope tattoos! (Someone in management find this dude and give him one heck of a pat on the back because he made us fans of this bar for life.) He was attentive, creative, hilarious, and an all around fantastic bartender. He was exceptionally careful about my fiance's food allergy and asked about any other allergies throughout the night as he was making our drinks which he put so many amazing touches on. Honestly I am going to have a hard time ordering any of these drinks (which are my regulars at bars) when I get back home. Both of us are originally from Las Vegas, the self proclaimed bartender and drink capitol of the world, and to be quite frank he was all around the best bartender we've ever had and made the best drinks I've ever tasted. 100/10 and if you don't check this place out at least once while in Boston you're missing an absolute gem of a spot. I know next time we're in here we will be heading there ASAP for some amazing drinks, awesome service, amazing ambiance, and all around stellar experience.

Such a cool experience, we took friends here on a night out and everyone had specific flavor profiles and the bartenders did a great job making amazing drinks on our requests. I can't speak for the food since we only had drinks but we will definitely be going back again.

  • 3/5 Katie M. 5 months ago on Google
It's a fun bar with a decent theme where there is no menu. The bartenders seem to be doing all the work to make the choices for you based on your stated preferences. "I like fruity drinks with vodka or gin" for example. Most ppl in our party likes what we got. For 3 people, our party ordered 2 drinks each and it was about $19 per drink. $114 total. We went on a Wednesday night and it was medium busy. Had to stand before finally a few bar stools opened and we're seated.
