As
a
seafood
lover,
B&G
oysters
has
always
been
on
top
of
my
list
for
brunch.
Recent
got
the
chance
to
visit,
but
the
overall
experience
left
a
lot
to
be
desired.
The
place
initially
seemed
welcoming
with
its
open
kitchen
concept,
and
it
was
interesting
watch
the
staffs
shuck
our
oysters.
Among
the
four
types
of
oysters
we
got,
Wellfleet
had
the
best
texture
and
a
mildly
sweet
flavor
that
we
enjoyed.
The
umami
oysters
were
also
one
of
our
favorites
with
their
unique
aftertaste.
The
shrimps
and
the
clams
were
good,
but
the
clams
seemed
too
small
for
their
price.
The
two
appetizer
dishes
were
the
standouts.
The
fried
oysters
went
nicely
with
the
tartare
sauce,
and
the
shredded
lettuce
helped
tone
down
the
greasiness.
The
calamaris
were
also
super
crispy
and
the
spicy
aioli
sauce
was
one
of
the
best
I’ve
had.
Our
disappointment
with
the
meal
started
with
the
entrées.
The
lobster
roll
was
mediocre
at
best.
With
the
lobster
meat
cut
into
tiny
pieces,
it
was
difficult
to
enjoy
its
flavor.
The
fries
and
the
buttered
toast
were
okay,
but
it
certainly
wasn’t
worth
its
price.
Overall,
great
place
for
fried
seafood
and
fresh
oysters,
but
beware
of
the
overpriced
and
disappointing
entrées.
