The food and dessert were really delicious! The servers were super friendly and accommodating for myself and my toddler; as the restaurant was very busy at the time I arrived (around 7 PM). The portions and the prices were pretty good in my opinion! The churros were delicious, the sauce perfectly paired with it. The elote was a little spicy, but very well seasoned so perfect for the spicy food lovers. I got a passion fruit marg with a tahin* rim, probably wouldn’t get that again only because the flavors didn’t go well together. I’m more of a mango marg girl. But the food and dessert were definitely great, I will be back!

Probably some of the better tacos I’ve had in Boston. They had some fun and less authentic flavors. We ate outside when the weather was nice. It’s quite a walk from the Broadway T. 3 tacos were very filling.

Was excited to try a new taco place so I found myself here. I tried the shrimp & fish tacos and I do not approve. Very weak taco game. Flavors & textures didn't go well together. I'm kinda curious to try the other tacos because of the high ratings this place has - maybe I made the wrong picks.. but for now, I don't think this is a good taco spot. Also the onion flavor was strong in the guacamole.

I love the complexities of the tacos. Everyone is a small burst of flavor in a homemade tortilla.

We sat outside in their patio. Wonderful, fun vibe. Great food. Smaller menu buy everything was delicious. Super friendly staff. Has a great neighborhood feel!

Nachos were quite good and our waiter was great. The tacos (we got birria, fish, and duck) were all fine and definitely creative, but definitely didn't wow us...and for $6 a taco, I expected more.

The food, for the most part, was good and balanced. However, there are definitely things that could benefit from improvement. The service: our server was apathetic and frankly rude. Hard to want to hand over a $20 tip when someone is rude, dismissive towards their customers, avoidant, and just put the check down saying “here”. We always tip 20-30% for service, especially when exceptional, but this girl was simply entitled and made our experience feel lack luster towards the restaurant. The menu: very narrow, but for what little it provides, savory and delicious. It would be lovely to see more appetizer options, like queso. Also make the elote off the cob. It’s very sticky and gross to eat on the cob in front of other people. Also, no vanilla in your margaritas. You completely nullify the sweet/sour balance in the strawberry margarita when you add vanilla. Gross. The proteins were well seasoned and roasted, but overall, Burro Bar around the corner is more value and better ambiance for the same spend.

It was great! We went when there wasn't a lot of people and the food was good. I loved the Nachos!

Good bar for dining alone. Loved the atmosphere and the music. The bartender was nice and on top of things. I had the "am I the drama?" At first I removed the star anise because it seems overpowering, but it certainly has a purpose. You can see the remnants of my drink. Safe to say, I enjoyed it. Would come back again. If you want to beat the crowd, come for dinner around 5:30/6. Was getting crowded by 7:15. They do have heated outdoor seating, but...BURRRR.

The atmosphere of this place was such a vibe. The food came out fast hot and really delicious, our waitress Colleen she was beautiful sweet and a vibe too. Them crispy chicken wings is a must order. And then Nacho can feed 4 and it’s was hubby and I. 5 star for the staff plus atmosphere. Will go again

What a fun Restaraunt! Upbeat city vibe with great waitstaff. Outdoor dining was great! Our waitress was engaging and attentive! The manager Jarek making sure everything was running smoothly! Menus are online so easy. Tables and outdoor section was clean, bathrooms clean! Cocktails we’re delicious and so were the tacos! Guacamole spot on!!! And I would definitely recommend the street corn! What a fun way to get out into the city for a much needed overdue date night. I would highly recommend to friends and family

A nice upscale bar for both drinks and dinner. The cocktails were well prepared, but I wouldn't say they wowed my socks off. Similarly, the food was well executed, but other than the burger, everything was as expected. Service was a bit chaotic, but both the hostess and server were incredibly friendly and helpful. Would return for a drink and a burger with friends.

It all started with the fresh chips and salsa. The salsa was some of if not the best I have ever had. As a slightly picky eater I worried about the tacos as they all had stuff I've never tried. But they all ended up being amazing. Save some of that salsa to top them with!. Kudos to the chef and all involved.

Extensive menu of American dishes that include so many variations. This restaurant is often visited by a lot of people. There are so many positive reviews online. Their special foods are Grilled Octopus, Fizz, Daiquiri, Giant Meatball, and Eggs Benedict, etc.

Food and service couldn’t have been better. We came with a toddler and not only was the high chair great (covered in plastic so easy to clean and came with a tray and cup holder built in, unusual for a restaurant), but they even brought over toys for him to play with. The food also came incredibly quickly. Great place for anyone due to the fantastic food and service, but definitely recommend if you’re looking for a place to bring kids.

Last call at 11:21, much earlier than the scheduled end time as 12:00. Break our really important time, awful service, amazing bad manager. Do not go again.

Margaritas are amazing! Highly recommend the mango habanero. Churros for dessert (only option) also very good. Tacos, honestly just fine. Scallop and shrimp ones were good, beef and pork lacked any flavor. Outdoor seating was nice.

Ordered delivery - really good packaging for transport. From what we ordered, I can recommend getting the elote, birria, and queso carne taco. The chili duck taco was dry and I'd avoid that one entirely. Overall, I'd order again.

Great Atmosphere! Service staff is nice but servers talk at the host stand for a long time. Salsa was good, fresh and packed some heat. The queso chorizo was good, but was very thick. Cheese was a little grainy so it wasn't completely emulsified or had broke a little. The garnish with Fresno Chile's was a nice touch. I then tried the chicken empanadas. They were fresh and steamy when they arrived to the table. The empanadas are sweet on the inside and it reminded me of a pot pie meets sweet creamed corn. I dipped it in the tomatillo salsa and my mouth was overun with acidity. When cooking tomatillos the starches break down and become sweeter and it looses some acidity. This salsa was made with raw tomatillos so the acidity was in the forefront. I dipped my empanadas in the red salsa and enjoyed it so much more. Lastly I had the Birria quesotacos. I have had Birria all over the country and I always compare them to the ones I had in LA. These birrias were not crispy.. I couldn't tell if the tortillas were dipped in the fat like most taquerillas or if it was dipped in the braising liquid. The meat was very beefy and rich but lacked the cinnamon, chile, and aromatics I am used to. The meat was tender and juicy but was just lacking other notes. This was the first time I've had cheddar on a birria and that was a nice touch adding some sharpness on the back note. All and all I enjoyed my time at Yellow Door. I wish the servers were more engaging and would have atheist refilled my soda. But the food was good and definitely worth a return visit.

Our ultimate favorite spot for tacos and drinks. We also love how the menu is always evolving. Highly recommend the coconut shrimp, fish, and birria tacos. The street corn is also a perfect starter. All of the drinks are great- but especially the margaritas. The waiters are all hospitable and sitting outside in the warmer weather is lovely. If you can, ask for Milo, he's the best.

Highly recommend the charred broccoli and chicken tinga tacos as well as the patata bravas. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Portions are on the smaller side, but food and drinks were delicious regardless!

Well designed taco joint. Clearly a lot of time and attention went into the decor, and the menu. The service was good and the food was incredible. The menu is pretty bare bones, and the pricing is on par for what you'd expect from the area. Good spot for a date or a meetup with friends.

Service was good however food was bad. The Michelada which is an authentic go to Mexican beverage was awful. The beer didn’t even taste like beer. It tasted like skunked soda water. I should have known it wasnt going to be a good Michelada when the waitress didn’t bother to ask which beer I would like with it. The tacos were bad as well. The Barbacoa beef tasted like the meat was rotten. Strong fishy taste. I thought maybe it’s just me. I had my date try it and she had to spit the food out into her cloth. I hate to be critical but I I love Mexican food and take it seriously. If you’re looking for atmosphere and drinks, then maybe this is the spot but as far as quality Mexican food, I would not recommend this place for that.

Can you TACOOooooos???? Yes this is what a taquiera is ... your basic "taco hut". However they put a great rustic spin on it! Simple menu, great interior rustic ambiance. Open window concept as well as open floor plan with patio seating! Price is fabulous! Tacos are about $6 each. They are smaller than a traditional taco but the flavor and combos are fabulous! Great presentation and full of flavor. The 4 star is because I have been there a few times now and service is hit or miss, cocktails are not consistent in how they are made. For example they picture I share below is the second cocktail I ordered and it looked amazing compared to the one I ordered the first time...and when I ordered it a 3rd time just to see what I got...I didnt even get the same drink at all. It was a total different style colada. However each one was wonderful! The music seems to be on a track...I heard the same song 4 times in a 1 hour dinner meeting. However. Yes I would definitely go again and definitely recommend it. The food and cocktails are always amazing!

The drink was just OK but bland even though it was supposed to be spiced. The tacos were just OK but bland. This was the kind of food that sounds good on paper but in execution is not as good. If I wanted that I would have cooked.

The staff here always delivers. Jarek & Team keep the extensive cocktail menu seasonally relevant and varied. The fizzes are always refreshing and you can’t go wrong with their daiquiris. Even with attentive service, craft cocktails take time, so kickback, relax, and enjoy the vibe.

We made a reservation 3 weeks in advance and they didn’t accommodate! Confirmed twice on the phone but clearly it didn’t matter. Not worth it!! Don’t plan your dinner here, go somewhere else who honor reservations when you plan a night out.

This is a sports bar that serves tacos, if that’s what you’re looking for. I had one vegetarian taco and some chips and feel very unhealthy. Not sure what they’re putting in the food but it is HEAVY.

  • 3/5 Sean 3 years ago on Google
The drinks were good, staff was friendly. The food was actually not great. Tried almost all of their tacos, none were good or worth mentioning. Meat seemed dry, flavors were also just not well put together. The guacamole appetizer was good but also cost $12. My water also tasted like the glass was dirty. Probably won’t be coming back unfortunately.

  • 5/5 brianlidawg 3 years ago on Google
The vibe is awesome here! The tacos were delicious (around $6 each, but full of flavor) and the drinks are delicious and strong. 10/10 would recommend!

  • 4/5 Subira P. 3 years ago on Google
They have a nice outdoor patio area. I ordered the only veggie taco option and thought it was fine, as long as you are not expecting a traditional flavored taco. I thought the chips, salsa, guacamole, and frozen cocktails were good. My friends who ordered other tacos, such as fish and scallop, did not like theirs at all. Maybe just come here for drinks and appetizers.

  • 5/5 Rachel N. 3 years ago on Google
Generous portion of guac for the price, and it's great! Elote was very good and comes in four mini skewers, so it's perfect for sharing. And the TACOS! Highly recommend getting a few of each (duck & baja were favorites). Drinks were small and overpriced but you sort of come to anticipate that in the Boston area. Overall, excellent meal. Outdoor seating was charming, but high top tables are not six feet apart. We were there during a slower time of day so it was fine, but if they get crowded/busy it seems that would be a problem.

The tacos were ok, the service was good. I did a pick up order a few weeks ago and got 6 tacos, 2 orders of chips and salsa and it came up to $55.00 I thought the price was ridiculous because the food wasn't all that and the tacos were tiny. I wouldn't order from them again.
