Amazing restaurant with nice laid-back ambience and friendly staffs. Tried their salmon poke, slow braised short ribs, and crab & ricotta tortellini. All the dishes were amazing, but my favorite was the salmon poke. It seemed like they used salmon belly with nice fat portions for their poke, and with a light soy marinade, it was undoubtedly one of the best salmon slices I had on a poke. The short ribs and the tortellini also came with an impeccable presentation, and they did an exceptional job with the seasoning with both (tortellini and the Mac & cheese). Their rustic gastro pub style interior initially made me invoke images of unhealthy tavern food, but overall I am impressed by all the delightful/ healthy touches they implemented on their dishes, and I will definitely be back to try their brunch.

The breakfast tacos and cinnamon toast brunch were amazing. The fancy fizz is pretty good if you want something fruity, but not sweet. The staff was great and the service was excellent.

Friendly staff, delicious food, great portions. If you are in the area, or in the mood for a drive, this place will not disappoint. Get the brussel sprouts! Brunch is amazing here too. Pizza here is so good. They put a lot of thought into their specials so keep an eye out for those

The best pancakes I’ve ever had in my life. We went for brunch, the place was very busy but we got seated as soon as we got there. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the waitresses were very very nice, which made the experience even better. Now, the food: the pancakes are insanely delicious, we went there during Easter and they had the special pancakes made with cadbury chocolate 🥹 SO WORTHY! The experience was so wonderful and the food was so good that I’m definitely coming back!!

I never thought that Monument would have a great pizza! But it is! Also their pancake with poppyseed was stunning! This place is very crowded, I recommend call for a reservation!

Sat at the bar. Service was prompt, and the bartenders were friendly. Great place to go for brunch. Had the salmon bagel plate, and it was delicious. Wish I had room to taste more on the menu.

Located in Charlestown, MA, a beautiful quaint town outside of Boston is the home of Monument. A gastropub serving up fun cocktails and delicious bites. As you walk in, you notice expansive bar seats and weathered wood beams throughout this lively establishment. They have an open wood burning stove where they make thin crust pizzas that are fresh and made to order. Their weekly specials at the bar range from $1 oysters to specialty tacos that keep the menu interesting. This is a great spot for a weekend brunch or a date night! I've been a handful of times and loved every experience. My most recent visit, I started with a red sangria. It was delicious! For an app, decided on the street corn arancini. Not what I expected, but happy with my choice. Outside was crispy, and the inside had a creaminess to it filled with sweet corn, cheese, and risotto. Topped with a sauce to give it that street corn kick, while the arancini was placed on a bed of red marinara sauce. Yum! For my meal I went with the steak and cheese. This is my second time ordering it, and I am OBSESSED! The steak was tender and juicy with melted American cheese. There was arugula, sweet and hot peppers, caramelized onions, and truffle aioli served on fresh ciabatta. Absolutely delicious! It came with a choice of side salad, fries, or half and half. I love the option of half and half! The fries were crispy and salty and the salad was well dressed topped with grated cheese. This place NEVER disappoints and will continue to be a staple in my restaurant choices!

Great vibes and amazing food. Steak and cheese was pretty good and very large. When asked fries, salad or both, the answer is both everytime. Fries are pencil thin and super crispy. Salad is awesome and is a must.

Great neighborhood restaurant. Good food and drinks, especially for Sunday brunch. It usually gets very busy on Sundays for brunch. I recommend getting the smoked Salmon for brunch, it comes with a nice toasted bagel and veggies. My suggestion for them is to turn the music down a notch or two on weekends. It gets very loud! Otherwise, great place for brunch!

Delicious pepperoni and jalapeños pizza. We also had their chopped salad. Great atmosphere. Although hard to have a conversation because the place is very loud and lively.

Go for: An absolutely gorgeous restaurant in the heart of one of Boston's most historic neighborhoods with really solid food options. Avoid if: You want to be treated like the establishment is thankful to have you as a customer. Something surprising: The space was formerly an Italian restaurant and a laundromat. Reservation needed? Yes, at peak meal times. Overall Experience: 3/5. The food tasted great and the ambience is top-notch, but the service experience from the host stand all the way through receipt of the check was disappointing. The two hosts treated every customer we saw like they were a bother. After patiently waiting 10 minutes to put in the beverages order and another 15 minutes (maybe more) to put in the meal orders, the server was then too busy chatting with other staff members to bother stopping by the table until it was time for the check...and other tables were having the same experience. The timing of the food delivery to the table was also totally disjointed. Value for Price: 3 Sanitation: 4 Food Quality: 4 Menu Precision: 3 Service Quality: 1 Timing: 1 Decor: 5 Access: 3 — 5 among the best 4 strong 3 not too bad 2 mediocre 1 never again

Hippest spot in downtown Charlestown. This place was packed on Sunday night. The menu is unique but modern, there's something for everyone. There were drink and food specials also. Our service was attentive and polite - the french onion soup definitely makes my top 5!mostly everything appeared to be house made. you can't go wrong

Amazing Bloody Mary’s and “Dunkies Run” before a bruins game. Loved the atmosphere and the music. Food looked pretty delicious as well.

Chef Derek was top notch, food was absolutely amazing. Our server was Cassidy and she was so attentive and sweet! Can’t wait to go back!

Quality food, but service could use a few touches. Our server brought cream but no sugar (only Splenda and Sweet’N Low) nor stirrers with the coffee. Otherwise, the bacon benedict and pork carnitas hash are excellent—you get your money’s worth.

We popped in here for lunch because a friend had known someone who worked there previously. Great call!! Dirty vodka martini, I like a bit more smootz floating in mine but this one was smooth and tasty. Our wait staff Courtney L. was wonderful and sure we were taken care of. Food was spot on. We started with the KUNG PAO BRUSSELS SPROUTS. The peppers with this were smooth with just a snap. The PROSCIUTTO & ARUGULA pizza was spot on with the right balance of savory (shaved pecorino) and sweet (aged balsamic vinegar). Was able to sample STEAK TIP BÁNH MÌ and the SMASH BURGER. Both very tasty, we did a split with fries and salad! I would recommend any of these options. Just a damn good neighborhood must have!!!

Arrived for diner. Almost walked out because of too long of a wait after being seated. Waiter arrived just as we were getting up. He was very attentive after that. The beer was really good. Ordered artichoke dip and it was lukewarm. It is served in a cold small skillet that I was able to hold in my hand. The waiter too it back and the kitchen made another that was perfect. I also ordered the carnitas tacos. They also came out lukewarm. My friend had the chicken sandwich, which he said was very good and hot. It came with a large amount of smash potatoes on the side. They also serve small rolls with a ricotta cheese spread that was very delicious. The main dishes took about an hour to be served. I didn't say anything about the tacos because by that time we were about ready to go. The waiter removed the dip from my bill, which was very nice and not expected. Perhaps a second chance next time I'm in town.

Great atmosphere with high tin ceiling, wooden booths and tables, red brick walls and outdoor seating on sidewalk tables with umbrellas, followed the locals here. Good food, lunch and dinner menu, daily specials and friendly service. Pizza smelled great, went back for takeout salad this weekend, easy to find on Warren Street near Bunker Hill Monument. Worth a visit!
